- In this video, I'm showing you how to pour the Latte Art Basics: Heart, Rosetta and Tulip.
My advice for every Latte Art beginner is to start pouring these basic patterns first and only proceed to more advanced ones, after you really learned how to pour and control the basics.
Some other basic benchmarks you need when pouring Latte Art:
finely textured milk
have the pattern nicely centered in the Cup
nice and crisp White without any beige
#latteart #latteartheart #latteartrosetta #lattearttulip #baristaskills
It's 4am and I have work in a few hours but that's ok. I'm drinking my 6th latte and I finally got the heart on the 8th try. I guess I'm taking these two with me to work.
How much milk to coffee u add?
Congratulations...I ve been still tryin
Thats the fucking coffee spirit.
😂
Best video I've seen so far -- simple to understand without excessively long explanations. Many thanks from a beginner! 😁
I am getting better after watching the video! I use the Breville Cafe Roma.
Nic
Best comment I've seen so far - straight to the point, appreciative, and positive feedback for reasons why it was a great vidio. Many thanks justforfunsies6461.
This is really great. So many videos go through the basics over and over but just touch on the art. This is perfect and the slow motion is an extra bonus. Thank you!
This is exactly what we needed boys. A closeup on how to make it !
Thank you, sir.
Me at Starbucks: "Look what I can do!"
Customer: "Just give me my damn latte."
No true coffee lover goes to Starbucks lol
Aishik Ashraf That’s where you’re wrong
RandomRuss nah that’s where they’re right
@@leolindsay2308 Really right.
@@russhoward3037 he is true lol starbucks fan
Its looks easy until I try it
.. as with most things without much practice 😊 You could do it too 💪🏻💪🏻
Agree
Yeah, man, I'm a barista. milk is really the most important element to boil in consistency. It took me 3 months after that. With practice you can do them
I know, so far I truly suck at it LOL
I recently was able to finally scrounge up a heart and I tried to do it again today and accidentally made a dick 😂
One of the best videos I've seen - love the slomo. Would love to see how you get your texture, too. Thanks. :)
I learned how to do a heart from this- and now I am going to practice the others!❤🍵
Thank you!!! This helped me a lot , today I've made my first tulip!
So glad I found your videos. They have help me with my latte art. This helps so much that I have shown your videos to my work college’s too. Keep up with the good work your are amazing 💪🏻
that milk texture looks PERFECTO!
Thanks Maria :)
Again thank you for the videos, I find them very educational and I study them very carefully, I can now do a few of your designs fairly well:)
Thanks man! Really really appreciate your support and feedback!
you are perfect!!very helpful !!I work for 14 year's as a bartender-barista,and you are awesome!! I wish someday to see you and talk about work!!
That second one the coffee was really on the edge. Nice video !!
If I see a really nice bit of latte art I take a snap. Am I a saddo? But I appreciate the effort put in
Thanks for doing this in slo-mo. Very helpful.
Happy to hear that! :-)
Awesome, and a really important piece I was skipping/missing. Stopping the pour after the 'swirl' pour, and starting the pour again. Will be trying tonight!
***** Good luck I hope it worked!
Dritan Alsela Works awesome. No question (for me) it helps to create the right 'dollops' to then create hearts.
***** i just discovered it from the slowmo, will try it tomorrow morning. :-) hope it works out well.
The 'Pause' totally works... but to get nice shapes with smooth edges you may need the pitcher with the funnel-mouth like Dritan is using in the video (my .02 cents)
And the eggs are missing
I think the secret is in the texture of the milk.
+san javier Well, it's absolutely necessary to get the texture right...but then you need to know how fast, etc. to pour. :)
Proper foaming/steaming and quality of coffee.. the 'crema' from the (good quality and freshly grind) coffee helps the milk foam (not the milk) float..
Milk texture must reach almost near the boiling point but be careful to not get visible bubbles. You need the crema from the coffee as well. And the hardest part is when you pour the milk in the cup, you need great practice and a stabilize and balanced hand to create the art!
san javiers nhacthiunhi
san javier I'm legit like what kind of milk is this lol
Il più bravo in assoluto!!!!
You are the best barista maker.... Love all your videoes...
Thanks so much!
Here kind sir, take my like, take it knowing I wish I had more to give. By far the best tutorial video for this iv'e seen.

This is better than any tutorial I've seen. Thanks
I can watch this all day 😋
The slow motion that’s what I need
I'll admit I'm impressed, even though I just watched a guide on how to miss work for a month.
You are a maestro!thank you for posting this video it is very helpful especially cause its in slow moThe tip you gave about keeping the milk moving is where i was going wrong myself im so glad you explained it to one of the commenters, now i cant wait to try at the shoprock on brother

Hi Anne, thanks a lot :-) Happy to hear it's kind of helpful! Enjoy practicing then :-)
This thing needs practice. And I don't have enough people to keep drinking the cups of coffee I'll make 😫🤣
How about the milk ? I think I need a cow till I make latte art
so nice, i try everyday to make the same since 2 month, but i can't still...... it's a real job !
Practice makes perfect right!

Hi Conor, thanks for your comment :-) Happy to hear that the Videos are somehow helpfull haha :-) Take care
Am I the only one who I found themselves tipping their head towards the screen to see what's happening in the cup? 😅 Where's a Go-pro or VR when you need one! 😄
Great video though so nice to have it straight to the point, and clear. It's amazingly helpful!
Any tips for non-dairy options?
Incredible
Verx very beautiful👏👏👌👌
Simply Gorgeous!...Thank You!
I worked in a coffee shop for a short while and i can attest. It's not hard to make a latte but it's not easy to make it right either
Really nice video!!I will try those thanks!!
Thanks!!
Thank you Darian
i didnt do this right but i appreciate the help
Very nice!I will keep trying...
Does mug size have any causal influence for Latte Art? I've noticed that some mugs that I use, I'll get a sharper and thinner rosetta, while larger mugs get more flow and the micro-foam spreads out a bit more.
I love making latte art ngl ngl
My Dream Is To Own My Own Coffee Shop.

Don't only dream of one day. Do it

Thanks a lot :-) Welcome to visit an try!
Perfect
The milk jug never beats so many at the table
very nice, i try that but cant beat milk to make that. After beat i obtain 50% good and 50% bad, which does not go to make latte art. How to beat better and what kind of milk is better?
VERY NICE
Galing naman...
terima kasih atas inspirasinya kawan. aku sangat suka karyamu.
it looks osam!!!
Brilliant!
The creamy lattes look tempting too ♥
Thank you :) Welcome to come visit an try
Wonderful !!.. But...I can't...What different between first step to mixing and second step to create milk on top -..- ??
Heihht quickly pour and low slowly pour, right ??
very pretty art.
This video helps me out with my job so far. Thank you!! Nice art!!
BÄM!!!! Awesome!
How can steam the milk without getting firm? Your milk looks very nice.
+OKzzy Yan That's a special way of steaming
+Dritan Alsela Hey! I watched a video like this before, with cappuccino art, and I was wondering: did you go to school/college to learn this technique? or is it just working and doing it for so long? just curious! thanks! (:
You definitely don't need formal education to do this, especially not college! Though some barista training programs do exist, they are usually attended by people who have already worked as a barista and enjoy the job and would like to improve their skills. Good latte art usually just comes from experience working as a barista. When you practice with every latte and cappuccino ordered at a shop, you can start making latte art in days to weeks and get good at it in weeks to years. Good luck!
you have to introduce the right amount of steam into the milk in the beginning and then sink the head of the steam wand into the milk and make it go silent until you reach your temp keeping the pitcher still and the steam wand in the same position... Then tap the bottom of the pitcher onto the countertop to pop any surface bubbles there may be (hopefully there aren't many or any :) and also to sink the top layer of foam throughout the rest of the milk so that it's that same consistency, swirl the milk around in the pitcher a few times to get it to that even velvet texture ( you'll see it turn sheen and glossy and voila! That's the best way I know how to describe it :)
This was really helpful thanks!!
Happy to hear that! Thanks!
that shit look good homie
Thanks
Thanks
This video is great help! Thanks :)
Thanks Mike, happy to hear that!
So you start pouring with circular motion to let the milk with the coffee? camera from the pitcher side would help to see the beginning and f the pouring
Cool slow motion! One thing I wonder. Cappuccino shuld be 1/3 coffee and 2/3 milk. But in latte art video's (like yours) I see much less coffee used. I use 60 ml and I have not much room for mixing the milk be cause the cus is allready 1/3 full! I have little time left to draw. Can you explain?
Caro Dritan cosa c' è nella tazza prima del latte?Solo caffè? A che temperatura deve essere il caffè e poi il latte. Saluti di cuore dall' ' Italia
awesome, must try
wirklich sehr schön
Danke dir :-)
What do you actually do for the milk to start drawing instead of pouring inside?
i will give it a try and if i do it, i think i will open a coffee shop hahaha
The importance of getting the right viscosity and smoothness of the milk is key!
Just a question. How did you steam the milk so foamy (micro foam) for all three cups of lattes? Cheers
Hi there, well that's the steaming technique.. if you know you need foam for 3 cups, you let in more air in the beginning before you start "rolling" the milk... hope this helps a bit :-)
he snapped
you make something cool there sir! Good art!
Which milk is preferred for doing coffee art?.. what should be the texture of the milk? .. like should it be used just after boiling, with or without its froth?
Full fat milk is best. It should be like paint, emulsion . I heat the milk to 140. Froth? It depends what coffee you are making. A cappuccino has more froth than a latte
I like it
Nice low spout. That helps a lot.
Hi Dritan, really beautiful art :) What is the name of the cafe? and where is it? Thanks
Hi there, thanks a lot :-) It's my cafe (Dritan Alsela Coffee) and is located in Düsseldorf, Germany. Welcome to visit anytime ;-)
