I've been making myself a latte every morning for years. Recently I started trying poured latte art but after one solid month I have never achieved the most simple forms! I have a very entry-level machine and I think it is the biggest reason that I cannot get the crema and foamed milk consistency that I need for successful pour designs. I'm not yet ready to invest big bucks for a professional machine. Next step - use etching, which to me is infinitely easier (yes, for now I am admitting defeat with pouring - might come back to it some day). Thanks for all the cool designs - these I can do!
Did you get it yet? Pour you milk into another container and then try it. Mixing the milk made it really easy and consistent for me. I’m new to doing it as of now.

I use the end of a thermometer. Like a meat or candy thermometer... it works great! Not sure what they are using.
