    Only problem is they used the thinnest shirt in the world. Try using that on a quality 100% cotton shirt. You will stand there for 5 business days steaming the shirt

    • @AulosMacabre
      @AulosMacabre Год назад +58

      To be fair and iron and a steamer are not interchangeable in every case. Some things like creases that form from folded clothing(like when it's brand new) are very stubborn and won't come out easily with a steamer. In such cases the iron is still the better choice for it. Steamers can take a bit more time for wrinkles most of the time, but they are gentler on the clothing and you avoid the risk of burning more delicate fabrics

      I 💯 % agree.. the rule of thumb to follow in regards to removing wrinkles is u must stay on the same area about a minute or two (circling) in order to allow the fabric to heat properly to relax it away. Otherwise u are wasting ur time n energy n having to go back n repeat the process, leaving u exhausted n frustrated bc u end up in a repeat cycle n ultimately giving up!

    I hate this steamer, I always burning my hands and so uncomfortable. I rather choose a small steamer that you can have it in your hand. The huge steamer that is like in the video the hose get ridiculously hot and steamy is also coming from the hose if it’s leaking.

    • @AzeemMia
      @AzeemMia 11 месяцев назад +2

      You right, but the small one clogs faster, and there is no way to unclog it, the best solution to the small one when clogs is to throw away.

    Bought a steamer, almost useless. Bought a decent quality one too. Takes forever. Almost worth the annoying and added cost of just buying and setting up an ironing board each time..

    I've been ironing my clothes since I was 13 y/o. I am now 30 and I'm sorta tired of ironing. Will steaming be easier for me?

    • @MartinLingner
      @MartinLingner 4 месяца назад +3

      Probably not. I would expect you start of as a beginner (compared to ironing), and never get over the hurdle of getting equally good at steaming. If you would give steaming a real go, you will probably still Iron business shirts specially in white and light colors and then steam everthing else. Ironing gives a superflat and shiny finish, that looks good on business shirts. Steaming gives richer colors, more texture and is quicker for most users over time.
      If you want to give steaming a go, then I would:
      1. Find a good hook with resistance.
      2. Strech the fabric with one hand
      3. Push the steamhead against the fabric while steaming.
      Finding the right angles from the hook to the streching hand is the challenge. Best of luck!
