Very useful information. I knew some of these already but the ones that I did not are going to save me so much time and hassle. I had been looking for that grid fill function specifically, thank you!
Hey i just subscribed... MAKE MORE VIDEOS, this one was great quality and CTRL+TAB was a HUGE help! thank you so much you might be my favorite Channel because of that :D
Notes: when creating edge loops with CTRL + R you can specify the number of cuts using the number keys so if you know you want 10 cuts you can just type 10 then enter Bridge Edge loops is available through the specials (W key) menu. Grid fill is in the face menu (CTRL + F)
Should be bundled in the original blender install :) Ctrl-Alt-U for user preferences, go to themes tab and it should be available in the dropdown to the left!
Here another tip: select a loop with alt and go to select + checker deselect so you have only every second vertice/edge/face So you can reduce your geometry by X + dissolve
Awesome, first tutorial !! Much better than my first :P But I would increase the Dpi in the user pref. otherwise You can't really see the buttons on a mobile device ... Hope to see some more tutorials ;-)
Hi all! You can also do the point 5 (bridge loop) by pressing Ctrl + E in edit mode and selecting Bridge Edge Loop at the bottom. Ty a lot for sharing, G+G will save huge amount of time
How do you select the bride edge loop. I can only select 1 at a time, same for the grid fill. You also did a similar thing at 6:30-6:31, where you selected the line, and it selected the whole diameter.
+James Mitchell Ah, saved yourself, really nice man, answered your own question from the future. Sorry I asked a question without seeing the entire video, that causes A LOT of problems on RUclips. Have a nice day.
Very thanks for your videos. I have one question, for no.7, after used individual region extrude to extrude the rectangles out, how to scale it for each rectangle in same of y directly as your video ?
Hello and thanks for watching! What I did was that I scaled the faces with individual origins as pivot point, and excluded the Z-axis, so its only resized in x and y. To do this, you press Ctrl+. (period), and then S for scaling and when in scale mode, hit shift-z (or whichever axis you want to exclude) and voila :)
I tried it out with a cylinder and made a cog...So satisfying when it's a few clicks and bam! Although I didn't completely understand your explanation on how to shift to different axis or to exclude/include one. Any info you can give on this would be greatly appreciated, please. :-) Tks again.
Create a plane, extrude one edge upwards so you have an L-shape. Add a subsurf modifier, crease all the edges to max, then decrease the crease of thr corner/soft edge until you have the roundness you want :) i hope that made sense!
@@MixPixVisuals Thanks for the help! You have my subscription for sure. I always love when creators actually read and respond to the comments. It shows that they legitimately care about their community and their viewers.

Alt-Right Click between two of the vertices that make up the edge loop :) Working?

Does anyone know how he made that curved plane at the end (I’m a beginner obviously)
