I did the AIO tweaks on v59 with the serial method. Can I update straight to the latest firmware?
Great video, thanks for putting this together. I just bought a CPO 2017 CX-9 and noticed my firmware came with 70.00.335 NA N. Do I need to upgrade firmware before adding AA/Carplay or is my firmware compatible? Thank you.
Romeo H. As long as you are at 70.00 or higher you are good to go.
@@Killobyte shouldn't I be able to see Apple Carplay or Android Auto greyed out in applications list or does that show up once I upgrade the USB hub?
Romeo H. You have to have the hub that supports AA/CarPlay installed and the phone needs to have CarPlay enabled.
@@Killobyte thank you for the confirmation. Ordering the parts now
@@its_allaboutromieuna vez que actualices el módulo usb, se tienen que hacer 2 pasos 1. Actualizar sistema carro 2. Cambiar el cacharro usb hardware
Thank you soooooo much!
I have a 2014 and I don't have any of those buttons to get into a mode to determine what software I have already.
is version 70.00.100A still the most current version? This was posted just a few months ago so I assume much hasn't changed?
I’ve heard that .120 just came out, but I don’t think it’s available publicly yet. I believe it just has bug fixes.
Any recent installers here ? I am going through the instruction and it looks like now we can go directly from 59.xx version to 70.00.352 for NA by installing a single file. No more two files for normal and fail-safe. Can anyone who recently worked on this share their approach
Hello did you ever end up downloading ?
Let me know if you found an answer…!
Thanks mate for sharing this useful videos. Saving me a lot of time to search all over the internet. The only issue is the netdrive doesn't work anymore. Is there any chance you can fix the link? Thank you in advance.
Can you dowload 70.00.335.c using a Mac, or do you have to do it using PC ONLY?
Also, I have another question... I updated to 70.00.100 but i need to update to the .367A... do i not need to update the failsafe either?
Correct, Mazda got rid of the failsafe on the later versions.
Can anyone confirm the firmware link is up to date? I wanted to try it and see
Hi...my mazda 2 2016 have the version 42.00.500...wich file i need for the upgrade?....Thanks
Thanks for the video. May I know what is the source of firmware? Is it genuine from Mazda ?
I currently have the 70.00.100 firmware in my 2019 Mazda Cx-9. I am planning on doing the USB hub update to get Android Auto. My question is after I install the hub, will further firmware updates be possible?
Yes, you just have to be in the 70.xx.x series before the new hub.

In 1 folder, I have a 'failsafe' & 'reinstall', and in another folder I have an 'update'
Do I need to install all 3 files, or just the failsafe and reinstall?
Thanks a lot it worked perfectly fine for my Mazda axela 3 hybrid your files were really helpful.
Can you please provide me how I can update Maps in my car when I am
Inserting the Maps SD card in laptop and opening Mazda toolbox it’s not detecting the SD card.
"No New Update Packages Available" when I insert my USB stick and hold the 3 buttons to enter the 99 code. Tried 2 different Innovera sticks (8gb and 16gb, Fat32 and ExFat) and can't get FW70 files (both .up files, FailSafe and ReInstall) to recognize. Borrowed someone's PC (I'm all Apple, so obv I want CarPlay), and even verified Hashes match (via Checksum PC app), AND verified the Innovera sticks (via H2Testw PC app). Any ideas besides trying different USB sticks?
*Lug nut. Fixed it.* Not recommending Innovera branded usb drives. Keep trying until one works. I’m ready for hardware install.
I am finding only fail-safe package!! The reinstall package can not find by the search.
Any ideas?
Hi there, great video. I am on version 59 (Mazda 3). - I want to get android auto. Once I update using your video to version 70, if I connect my phone to the car using USB after I have done this, would I then have android play? I have an android phone. Or do I need to do something else after updating to version 70? Thank you
A newer USB hub is needed. Link for it should be in the description.
where do you get the origianl hash values
They are in a separate folder from where you download the North America update files. Simply read the text file that corresponds to the region you are updating the OS for NA North America or EU Europe
my.hidrive.com/share/hsodpqja.1#$/Mazda_Firmware/y%20Checksum
my.hidrive.com/share/hsodpqja.l#$/Mazda_Firmware/y%20Checksum
Could you share the 70.00.100A firmware somewhere else than hidrive, there is no registration open for it. Looking for the EU firmware.
NA region 70.00.100A:
drive.google.com/drive/folder... (remove everything from the front of the file name before cmu150_NA_70.00.100A_... . I did this and the checksum was good)

hello, I'm from Chile. I need to update from 30 to 31 and finally 3.6 for car play. I need in Spanish language. is in your link where it says NA?
I'm not sure which would be for Chile. Does it show one of the following on your touch-screen when you look at the current version?
North America, USA, Canada, Mexico, known as 'NA N' on your Touch-screen.
Europe and UK, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Russia, etc, known as 'EU N' on your Touch-screen.
Australia/NZ, Southern Hemisphere, South Asia, Oceania, known as '4A N' on your Touch-screen.
JP M is Japan.
