I am so Sad Daddy Jack has passed. I have been watching his videos a lot in the past week or so , going over some oldies and watching all the recent videos. This one is particularly pertinent and meaningful for obvious reasons. May you rest in peace Daddy Jack. Keep cooking with the blues in heaven. Peace.
I work for a large company. Most people I work with are scattered around the USA and while I've never met them, I talk with them several times a day. So one day I say, my favorite chef just released a video on RUclips and I can't wait to watch it...and my colleague asks, was it "Cooking with the Blues?" My colleague lives 2,000 miles from me in LA, and we talk virtually everyday about you. Thanks for the content, and thank you for bringing complete strangers together.
That is awesome Brian, small world we live in. Glad you like the videos, word of mouth is powerfull! All this has been grassroots with no major media exposure, I'm proud of that! Stay Well, Jack!
We all love you Daddy Jack. You are the everyman's blue collar chef. You've got a lot of talent with none of the ego, totally humble, and you're recipes are great and easy to follow. Keep doing what you do brother. Great content. Stay healthy!
@@CookingWithTheBlues - I'm serious, Jack. You make every dish look so easy and perfect. I always look forward to the next video and revisit previous videos often. And the stories are always great to listen to, as well. You're the kind of guy everybody says, "Dang! I wish he was my neighbor."

I love the fact you make such delicious food but not complicated like celebrity chefs make it... This is real food like i had as a young fella in the 70s...
Yum! I was thinking of a pot pie Sunday but I think I’ll be trying this. Thank you for making these videos not only for the great recipes but keeping us entertained as well.
You are always such a decent gentleman. I love your videos as you are so natural and I almost feel I could be in the kitchen alone with you giving me full attention. Your friends and family are also so down to earth. I’ve learned such a great deal from you about cooking and just the simple joy of sharing food with friends. Please keep well and continue educating us. Thank you.
Just a note of caution: while small amounts of onion may not present any visual effects, the chemicals within any part of an onion is highly toxic to dogs on a cellular level. In other words, try to prevent Axle from eating onions at all if you can help it, DJ.
My 16 yr old dog has eaten table food his whole life, he loves Beer Battered Onion Rings!! Never heard onions weren't safe for him, evidently they don't bother him!
Between your Mom's spoon, and that awesome, pre-1968 Revereware pan, ya got me thinking of family and food. Many a thing in my kitchen comes with a story of who and where it came from. Love ya sir. God bless.
