- I'm amazed that something like this exists! John Lennon performs "Dear Yoko", on April 11, 1980, this song was released the same year, on his last album "Double Fantasy" This is probably one of the few video recordings that John recorded for his wife!
I have a duty to share something like this, thank John instead of me!

My goodness, what a thing of beauty. And how rare, and marvellous, to hear John's voice unadorned by ADT and/or echo. Of course, we are salivating like Pavlov's dogs now at the prospect of any more footage like this (presumably from the material Fred Seaman absconded with?). One cannot help but feel that, like 'Oh Yoko' before it, this lovely song would have had a few hundred covers were it called 'Dear Lady' or 'Dear Sweetheart', rather than the specific. Considering the paucity of home recordings that have appeared on the deluxe box sets so far, I cannot think there is a John Lennon fan who is not praising you for making this, and your other videos, available.

You can retire at 30 only if you have changed the world and contemporary music forever and if you are away from home since you were 17 being a slave to the record business. That is something.
And the retirement was at 35.

I was also wondering, the headstock you see at the beginning looks like it's from a Rickenbacker, I think it's some small series guitar from a manufacturer that was around for 4 years or so...
