I love how everyone is kinda jammin' to George's bluesy song😊
Because it's a badass tune
Ahh George just beautiful.... What a talent sadly overshadowed by Lennon and macca regarding song writing.... RIP George we love you ❤❤❤❤❤
It's true that many, many people can play instruments. But these four lads created amazing magic on them. It's always with a bit of a melancholic nostalgia that I watch them.
💯
The simplicity greatness of the blues !
Because you're sweet and lovely George, we love you.
O, do we ❤❤❤
Great vocals by George here.
I've always loved this track. It's a simple 12 bar blues, but the Beatles just add a touch of their magic. Played live. George on acoustic and vocals, John playing slide guitar, Paul on piano and Ringo on drums, of course. Love it.
And the bass?
The feeling reminds me a lot of The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.
Nice to see them in the studio, interacting. Warms me heart.
@@bautistayanez7557 The bass was overdubbed. In a 1987 interview George said it was Paul
I always thought a toy piano was somewhat involved.
Simply wonderful- George’s smile (1:56) is killer. Some really nice footage, the b&w format so charming. 🏆
When he would break out into that super big smile, it was just so endearing :)
That smile is everything
John's solo was really good. A little more adventuress than the official release.
I like Like when George Martin asks, "It's good enough for Skiffle?"
And George Harrison nods yes, then smiles with ease.
Just Amazing. Best band ever for ever.
Yes indeed
Yup. That's the best epitaph pal, nice & simple & true. Best Band Ever For Ever😎😎😎😎🥰.
World's greatest skiffle group. ☝️
The Grateful Dead though… Jerry was the man
No comparison
Such a beautiful and sweet song by George!
George's smile has to be the best smile ever...miss my favorite Beatle so much ❤️
And that lush hair!!
@@TheDivayenta true...
So sweet and beautiful, so soulful, so tender
The collection of create genius and musical talent that happened for those years is truly 'lightning in a bottle.'
Love George's little smile at the end, being acknowledged for his spot-on tune.
Excellent slide from John when we're at it
It's like your in the room when they did this, every time I've heard it. ❤
George's singing is very creative in this song
George always wanting approval 'does this guitar sound in tune'
Great track. Shows what great musicians they are...
I gotta say, good ole johnny lennon tears it up on that slide guitar.
So, so true. Makes me wonder if that was the origin of George's magical slide powers, as he was initially hesitant.
Of course, George had a very different playing style (Indian intervals, etc.), but he had to start somewhere...
Linda is gorgeous. She was in love with Paul and it shows.
She was after Paul & it shows. She was after a Beatle & planned it since the Sgt Pepper Press launch party. Paul was after a wife & babies, she by his side gazingly by his feet. Which she did. Plan worked & then love grew. Initially she was after Mick Jagger but that didn't work out.
Yes Linda was a stunner with a fabulous career as a rock photographer before meeting Paul. Tony Bramwell in his book says he saw the moment they fell in love with each other. It was that palpable.
I’m so glad to see her in these clips. Cannot wait for the documentary
The Beatles are the definition of Music 🎼
I'm an arguer - who ... can't argue with that.
Hands down my favorite Beatles song since 1978, Love the 12 bar blues, love the slide, love the simplicity of it. Beatles fan since 1964, got into this song when a teenager in 1978.
Beat Ya! August 1963 & then for you "Who?"
....and Paul on the screwdriver....that guy can play anything!!!!
Best screwdriver playing I've ever heard.
Brilliant! Timeless classic. It can’t go better than this. Period!
George is charming!! 😍 and john!! 💞 beautiful men!!
A perfect blend, from a perfect band. Enough said.
John's slide-guitar is exelent
Sets a high bar...and, fascinatingly, George, though uncertain that he could play slide at all, became known for his signature ability with the instrument.
Genius. Great version of a great song.
"Good enough for skiffle" comment made George smile.
Fantastic. "All things must pass" is the one that got away I think. Especially considering this was their last album. What a poignant song it would have been.
Hopefully we're going to be able to see this performance in full hi-resolution glory in the new documentary.
Will we ever live to see a time when there isn’t a new Beatles documentary ? Will we ever live to see a time when Apple ‘ bots’ stop infecting the Twittersphere and RUclips feeds comment section trying to drum up speculation and interest by posing as everyday ‘ Joes ‘ asking banal questions ?
Fine as is. Why you all need everything in 100KK is beyond me. Life wasn't like that.
@@stechriswillgil3686 yup, bang on. Paul has a few sites on RUclips & he does manipulate & really exploits them to buy stuff the latest being the 6cd/vinyl Let It Be super dooper reissue. The album was only 35min 10 sec long! Cost about £105. I'll stick with the 2cd reissue. You get shot down in flames by the millennial sycophants if you criticise anything. Still Paul & Co need the money don't they. Since the Anthology it's never stopped has it. I've got my helmet on.
@@stechriswillgil3686
Well, it's 6 hours of raw footage from them recording what would become their second to last album.
I bet you 10000 dollars you will see it, no matter how unphased you want to appear mate. It's a great documentary.
Oh well we didn't get to see it in the documentary, but still a good piece of footage
I'm so conditioned to hearing those loud beeps when listening to recordings of the Let It Be sessions, I almost involuntarily expected to hear one at any second!
Always loved this song. I love George’s work we rarely hear.
Ringo’s face says everything here.
Gorgeous!!!!!! The song and George!!!!
And who cares who plays what?! It’s simply genius! That’s all. How lucky we are, our generation that this all came on us like a tropical rain! God bless these 4 guys! They are, as a group, as alive for me today as they were 50 years ago..
Well said!
Second that my man, most definitely they are. And will be forever more. 4 young lads who shook the world.
Hear you there for sure, best band ever. As a musician I will say it is cool to know who plays what on each song with The Beatles. It adds to the awe and wonder of each members' talent. They can all do so much musically which definitely adds to the different feel and vibe each song has. From "Love Me Do" to "I Am The Walrus".
I care. I forget they did the songs in layers. I always assumed GM was on piano while Paul played base. I love this watching the studio video.
JFC - what a perfect musical piece! And anytime I hear it - it’s like new. The biggest thing of this new documentary is the impression this all is happening today. As if these guys are living their lives and acting right now somewhere in London…
Such a lovely song. That moment when you see the lads just jamming, eyes closed, comfortable in each other's company, making yet another great song. Can't wait for Get Back.
Sweet and beautiful George. I love him... 💕♥💜❤💖💛
Magic , pure magic….
I just don't see how there can be a thumbs-down. George singing and John on the slide. Perfect pop song.
It’s a 12 bar blues song.
...and Paul on Keys and beating on tempo, Ringo
I mean there's literally 1000 times more likes than dislikes
It's a Blue Song!!!
I'm going through this period of really enjoying George's songs like Savoy Truffle and now this one. He could have easily just started his own band after the break up. Of course years later he was in the Travelling willberrys,
John Lennon - slide guitar masterpiece
It's awful. Listen to Elmore James.
@@cobaltcanarycherry Elmore James got nothin on this, baby!
@@cobaltcanarycherry a ese ni lo conece su mama.
I love George and his music. Sadly it was so hard for him to get a song on an album.🙁
Amazing George!
The lovely George 💕
Cuantos recuerdos con este tema de George Harrison todos genios The Beatles
The greatest band in the bloody world 👍🏻🇬🇧🎸
Wasn't this the B-side of the US Long & Winding Road single? I think so. Anyway I remember it that way and I loved this song. In this late sixties period it was always a treat when the B-side was actually something quite special. This is special and it would take me more years afterwards to realize George was in different but equal ways as great as Paul and John as a songwriter. His performance chops speak for themself.
I loved this song the first time I heard it many years ago.
My Sweet George ❤️🎸
"Good enough for skiffle"
Quite right, too!
George was the one who really looked great in a moustache. He was my fave. I grew my moustache is 1967 when he grew his and I've never shaved it off. Damn, we miss you.
His hair went into dire straits come All Things Must Pass tho & with a straggly beard. Here was his best hair as was for all three with the great White Album poster.
For such a boyish guy he actually suited his moustache, while a boyish type like me will NEVER allow a moustache but stay stubbled, even bearded for weeks.
@@seltaeb3302 His late 70's Kevin Keegan permed hair-do was the best complete with scouse tash too.
Because you are so sweet George, I love you and I always will 🙏❤️
Beatles leggenda x sempre ❤😊
“Go, Johnny, go. Elmore James’ got nothing on this baby!”
Not in this early version.
MARAVILLOSO.. BEATLES NINGUNO COMO ELLOS! JAMÁS!
Love it! Makes me miss them as a group.
all hands on deck, in concert for one of George's... lovely
George: Is this guitar in tune Glyn?
Glyn Johns: It’s good enough for skiffle
😂
George forever
Dr. Winston O.Boogie on slide guitar
It's funny how John played lap steel on this when George would later become one of the finest slide players in rock history
They seem much happier out of Twickenham
yet another great song about pretty Patti ,...
Nice singing George..a different type of music...that is pleasant to the ear ...instrumentaly blended differently ..nice melody simple and yet something ingenuity in it....
O doce George,o Beatle dos olhos tristes.
Gorgeous🎧💞🌺
John's playing on slide guitar is preaty well.
Oh, George! He's such a lovely boy!!!.... And it's true!!..
Just the best!
I've never seen Ringo look so happy.
Lol yes
🤣
I'm hoping it comes out on DVD. Only way I'll see the complete video.
That sounded lovely. 2:04
George was so important in the end for The Beatles.
Excelente canción de George, por Dios!!!Bello tema!!
LOVE that finger ringing over the plane tune of 🥁 & 🎹
Simple perfection.
So sweet, brilliant!💝🌺

Because you're sweet and lovely, girl, I love you
Because you're sweet and lovely, girl, it's true
I love you more than ever, girl, I do
I want you in the morning, girl, I love you
I want you at the moment I feel blue
I'm living every moment, girl, for you
I've loved you from the moment, I saw you

Because you're sweet and lovely, girl, I love you
Because you're sweet and lovely, girl, it's true
I love you more than ever, girl, I do

Me encanta esta canción.
Great video
It's a pity they've never shown the face of that slide guitarist, only his back in a few shots. A very talented man.
That was John Lennon
@@waynejohanson1083 no shit, Sherlock....
@@peterreef1162 why
@@peterreef1162 yeah, it was John. Watch 'Let it Be instrumental version' there is a footage of him playing slide guitar, it was clearly John!

Love you George ❤
I love this song & its unique sound. I love the Beatles, and I really love George Harrison. I stayed the night in his house once, but he wasn't there and he had donated it to the Hare Krishnas. Drats!
Bello George!

Oh my!! Fantastic!
What a great video. Mahalo
Such an underrated and too often overlooked gem.
For you blue classic song from George Harrison fifty years ago very catchy song from him
Just how many songs did Patty Boyd have written about her.? The original rock and roll heartbreaker
Very interesting, thanks for sharing!
ジョージかっこ良い!!
Nice video production - for reference this is using 01.25.1969 - DDSI25.42 For You Blue (Take 4)(he he he during intro).
Take 1 is on Anthology 3, Take 6 was used in the original Let It Be movie with the SOLO from Take 9 edited in the middle (at the end of Take 6, John says he farted - edited out of movie). Take 7 was used on the Get Back album compilations with the quiet please intro - and eventually George overdubbed new vocals for that version for the Phil Spector LIB album. The 50th anniversary box has another outtake listed I have not heard yet to determine which Take is used (there were up to 12 takes and some broke down).
Amazing Beatles
"S'good enough for skiffle." Great.
