Looks pretty clean inside, previous owner kept up with the oil changes, usually a good sign

Great video!!! I need to rebuild the starter clutch on mine as well, so very instructive. What's the make of the engine support you use in that video? Thanks!

Enjoying this as I want restore a GPZ after my FJ1200. How about an FJ1200 next video for you! Could you tell me more about the engine support cradle you used, what is the brand etc. Thanks

Thanks Allan. I always liked the FJ1200 but not sure if we'll ever get to rebuild one. We do this in our spare time so have limited time and money so are restricted in what we do. Maybe one day with sponsors we could do requests.
The stand I use is a Sealey Motorcycle Engine Rebuild Stand MES03 and really happy with it so far.

Are you going to change the starter clutch for a 6 roller ZZR1100 unit whilst you're in there for ultimate reliability? 🤔
    Great video as always.... 😉👍

      Thank Richard.
Maybe, maybe not. We really want to keep this as original as possible inside and out.
The ZZR clutches are built much better but the main reason for failed originals are shrunk springs, poor batteries and startups. Springs fail to apply enough/even pressure to the pinch rollers causing wear. Poor startups rattle and clatter the starter clutches to death, sometimes even splitting them. I'll inspect the original and either replace or rebuild it. 🤓👍

Maybe too short ? Please 10 mn format at least :)

I'll probably make a longer video of the entire engine dismantling out of all the shorter ones once they are done.
