I WAS NAMED AFTER THIS SONG!!! August 1986 my mum couldn't decide on a name for me ,this song came on the radio,she shouted the nurse for a pen,the rest is history 😊❤❤❤

I went to school in the Cambridge UK in 1976 and there was this girl in our class called Laurie. She was from green bay USA. We shared what was my first ever kiss. We were both 10 years old :)

Oh-My-God!!! I`ve been looking for this song for literally YEARS!!! I always thought it was called "Oh, Glory" and sung by a group like Earth Wind & Fire. 😶 Now, after a very, very, long search... I saw these guys in '77, as they opened for Hall & Oates in Denver, at the old Auditorium Arena . They had 2 female back-up singers with their band, & they WERE FANTASTIC. I had never even heard of them but after the concert, i went out & bought 2 of their albums that were out , including the 1st, which has this wonderful song. I saw them in concert back in 1978 when they opened for Andy Gibb. They are awesome singers and quite cute!
I did, too! Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA. I think it was 1978 as well. Loved both the Alessi's and Andy. Not that you could really hear the music for all of the screaming, but we were a bunch of teenage girls having the time of our lives! Also got to see Andy again when he came onstage when I saw the Bee Gees. So many great concerts in the Sacramento and Bay Area back in the mid 70's through the late 80's. What I wouldn't give to relive those times:)
