The music, (disco), the clubs, the fashion.These women are beautiful goddesses, without the need to twerk or be naked, bringing such joy with their music. Grateful to still be here and have these amazing memories. Unreplaceable………
I saw them live at a nightclub near Colchester, Essex in the early eighties. I was only 15ft away from the stage and was blown away by the performance and their professionalism. Lillian’s voice was incredible ❤️

It saddens me to learn those beautiful ladies have passed on. Makes you wonder what it's all about. As they sing where have all those yesterday's gone. They definitely don't make singers like they used to. Rest in peace beautiful ladies.

When this song was a hit 52years ago,on the first week of September i started 2nd grade and met this dude named Jorge who sort of looked exactly like the Richard Ricover character on the classic Leave It To Beaver tv show,whom we would be best buds from that time to this day although we live 2,000 miles away. This song is memory time capsule of great times being kids.

They were so regal, the epitome of elegance and class.. many of us were like that back then. They remind me so much of some of my relatives growing up then; all gone now.. mostof us were like this where i am from before the decline..
Odyssey, more than any other disco group, not only wrote great disco tunes but they somehow contained in them a melancholy and a something that is so hard to put your finger on. Maybe they were just so human!

This reminds me of a dear friend who passed away last year. He loved this song because he was a true native New Yorker.. couldn't imagine living anywhere else.. He grew up in either Mt. Vernon or New Rochelle I don't remember which but then lived all over the city for his adult life, Fordham, Staten Island, Sunnyside Queens (for a short time) and Woodlawn which is where he felt the most at home. He had to move in with a friend in Dobbs Ferry because of financial reasons. I miss him so much. RIP Jim

I remember being with my father when I was around 12 years old when he worked for the water company listing to CBS 101.1 in the company truck I wish how I could go back in time even if it was for a minute ❤
This song reminds me so much of my best friend that passed away maybe 30 years ago. I was maybe 14 and had just moved along with my parents, step brother, step sister to Croydon (The South of England) I knew no one at all. I can't remember exactly how we got introduced (His name was Trevor) but I soon found out he played bass guitar, he was self taught teaching himself of his Dad's bass. I was amazed and we soon became friends and I was soon begging my parents to buy me a Bass guitar which they did. We weren't a rich family so at the time it was a huge outlay. I would go to Trevors house and would patiently show me all the baselines he had worked out how to play by ear. These looking back where the best days of my life. Trevor soon after started to play guitar and we eventually got asked to join a band Trevor was always a better Bass player than me a his ear for music was unbelievable. He had a fantastic record collection some from his Dad but others he had purchased himself that was always a source of inspiration for us. I spent many hours even days in that house with him and his brothers watching videos eating oven chips whilst his Mum was at work nights and his Dad was away from home weeks on end. Trevor sadly passed away when he was maybe 17-18 years old. I remember being in the Doctors surgery oneway waiting to get seen and he came in with a girlfriend saying he had a headache and passed away few days later.I was devastated and that loss still affects me now 30/40 years later. This is one of the songs we would most doubt have listened to and learned and it reminds me of him as do many others. RIP Trevor Gittens xxxx

They were so regal, the epitome of elegance and class.. many of us were like that back then. They remind me so much of some of my relatives growing up then; all gone now.. mostof us were like this where i am from before the decline..
Odyssey, more than any other disco group, not only wrote great disco tunes but they somehow contained in them a melancholy and a something that is so hard to put your finger on.
Maybe they were just so human!

This reminds me of a dear friend who passed away last year. He loved this song because he was a true native New Yorker.. couldn't imagine living anywhere else.. He grew up in either Mt. Vernon or New Rochelle I don't remember which but then lived all over the city for his adult life, Fordham, Staten Island, Sunnyside Queens (for a short time) and Woodlawn which is where he felt the most at home. He had to move in with a friend in Dobbs Ferry because of financial reasons.
I miss him so much. RIP Jim
God, this brings back memories when there was still a real New York. Simpler, more joyful times with great music; people knew how to sing back then too, like these ladies.

Still listening from a time warp that is the 70s,disco forever.
This song reminds me so much of my best friend that passed away maybe 30 years ago. I was maybe 14 and had just moved along with my parents, step brother, step sister to Croydon (The South of England) I knew no one at all. I can't remember exactly how we got introduced (His name was Trevor) but I soon found out he played bass guitar, he was self taught teaching himself of his Dad's bass. I was amazed and we soon became friends and I was soon begging my parents to buy me a Bass guitar which they did. We weren't a rich family so at the time it was a huge outlay. I would go to Trevors house and would patiently show me all the baselines he had worked out how to play by ear. These looking back where the best days of my life. Trevor soon after started to play guitar and we eventually got asked to join a band Trevor was always a better Bass player than me a his ear for music was unbelievable. He had a fantastic record collection some from his Dad but others he had purchased himself that was always a source of inspiration for us. I spent many hours even days in that house with him and his brothers watching videos eating oven chips whilst his Mum was at work nights and his Dad was away from home weeks on end. Trevor sadly passed away when he was maybe 17-18 years old. I remember being in the Doctors surgery oneway waiting to get seen and he came in with a girlfriend saying he had a headache and passed away few days later.I was devastated and that loss still affects me now 30/40 years later. This is one of the songs we would most doubt have listened to and learned and it reminds me of him as do many others. RIP Trevor Gittens xxxx

l was once told that this song made by Odyssey only took one take. I believe it because it is so perfectly done and so pure. the song takes me back to Old New York where it was when I started back in the 90s. It was a grand time then.
