I saw Adam in Sloup a few times while I was leaving the cave where I work as a guide. I wanted to ask him questions, but I saw that he was resting before a climb, so I decided not to do that. I regreted it a little later. After watching this, I do not regret it anymore. I am glad that he had at least some privacy.
Man, Adam is something else - undisputed best in the world in what he does, casually mentions he earned his first sponsorship at the age of ten, then proceeds to speak fluent Italian, alongside fluent english, neither of which are his first language...
This was my favorite video in a long time. It opens your eyes more to the reality of every other videos and Adam's life outside of his profession. There is enough giving back to the community in these videos to make up for 100 pro climbers who haven't really strived to give back. Thank you Adam! And the Ondra RUclips team!
Thank you so much Adam for the feedback and info about your personal life outside of climbing I think we all need time alone and I understand the overwhelmness of fans. Thank you so much!
Once again I would like to express my admiration for your work. The learnings that you produce through your videos go beyond the world of climbing, in that you showcase the other side of the coin in addition to the top performance of a professional athlete, in which sensitivity and personal needs play a role. This is common to all of us, no matter which path we take individually! That strengthens me in defining my own goals! Thank you!
Adam you said you climbing doesn't bring back to the community. That's not true every time I see you climb in a video or a photo or read a article about an ascent, it's always puts a smile on my face and gives me more drive to climb harder. I am sure it does for many people. So thank you 😍
When I saw you in Salt Lake City, I didn't want to bother you, but I did notice you take time to talk to a couple of kids. You seem like a pretty cool guy, because you didn't have to, but did anyway. Those kids were so excited! Honestly, I was a little star struck, I don't care at all about hollywood movies or things like that, but a guy who climbs rocks, that's a guy I can get along with.
Dear Adam, your climbing DOES bring a lot to the community. Knowing what you do and yes, having the videos of you climbing, is really inspiring. Keep up having fun while climbing.
Thanks for sharing this aspect of your life as a professional climber. I am also someone that values alone, unstructured time to recharge. I find it inspiring that you're able to manage everything and come across poised all the time. The climbing community is so lucky to have you. Thanks also to the team behind these videos -- I'm blown away that you manage to put out varied, unique, intimate content weekly (or more).
Adam, thank you for showing the other side of being a professional. Not everyone can see that you are just another human, and we need to respect you as such. You are an inspiration to us all! Check out lions head Ontario! That’s my king crag
Thanks for being willing to take time to create content and connect with your fans. I an inspired by your passion for climbing every time I watch your videos.
Přeji hodně úspěchů a málo zranění.
Thanks for the peak inside Adam. Keep grinding and keep up the hard work... you have an incredible balance at a very impressive age already... old man Olandra is going to be even more badass!
hard sometime to be alone but that gives you time for self reflexion. What an good perspective you offer. Wisdom. Thanks adam for being so honest, genuine and such an inspiration. Take care.
Society, you're a crazy breed. Sure is important to go into the wild and be alone in your head sometimes to sort yourself out. Good on you to talk about this side of your professional life. 👍
Not sure if you'll see this comment Adam? But I have Just watched the footage were you say you don't bring a lot to the climbing community. I would have to disagree with you Adam. I think you bring lot more to the wider climbing community in your videos. They not only open the world of climbing to everyone. But also inspire climbers of all abilities and ages. Good luck in Tokyo....
I met Adam once in Yosemite national park. He was walking towards a Cafe and I could not resist to sprint towards him to say hello, shake his hands, wishing him good luck and go away again. I could fell tell his strength and energy and looking into his eyes was magical. You can see every muscle, even in his face. He was so kind smiling at me and saying thanks to my good wishes. All the best Adam!!
That is so inspiring. ☺️See, how Adam Ondra reach all that points. Personally I’m not such a good climber, but Adam gives me a HOPE to improve myself. Not just on climbing but also in many ways. Thank you Adam☺️
Being alone is my absolute favorite thing to do. It’s mandatory. I work as a skydiving instructor and have for 20 years and it’s extremely social, high energy and demanding of my attention. People are. They need to feel that I’m there for them. And I love to be, to make people stoked and confident and show them a path to something beautiful. But when I’m finished and I get to be quiet... man, it’s good.
I would never interrupt you having dinner in your van 😜. TBH I never want to be so famous that I can't go shopping or have some me time. I need that to stay sane 😂 still, love your work. 👍💪😉
My bývame v Amerike a sme stopercentne pyšní na Tvoje výkony. 😁 Môj teenager objavil niečo zmysluplné prostredníctvom lezenia. Prajeme veľa ďalších úspechov a inspirovanie mládeže.👍
Osobně doufám, že tě někdy potkám v krase, abych tě mohl pozdravit, prohodit pár slov a pak si hledět zase svyho :-D
i hope to meet you one day. then i will approach you with words- "im sorry to interrupt, but would you like to have a little chat? i have been a fan for some time and would like to pay honours and thank for the moments you gave me, for the moments you shared with me and the emotions I could participate in, while feeling and appreciating your success and happieness for doing what you love and excelling in it"...meanwhile - thanks Adam, and hopefully see you, hopefully not when you are busy or want to be in private ;)
maybe one thing Adam can help with, is to expand climbing responsibly too often, you see good things spiral out of control with popularity and get ruined by it's popularity. want to keep the rocks prestiene for future generations to enjoy
So cool to see what you get up to on the roads! Do you edit these videos yourself or do you have help with them? I’d imagine it would take up a lot of your time!

Not only that, he speaks something like 6 languages with reasonable proficiency. Czech, English, German, French, Spanish, and Italian.
@@Deathranger999 so he can't speak Chinese? Lame...
Lol
@@motaman8074 SMH, at least I got that on the guy
And on top of that he has an awesome personality
He's a poliglot! I have seen him speak fluent Spanish and German too! And he knows some french as well
Adam explaining about alone time, showing him sitting on a bench eating a whole box of ice cream...love it
Selfcare in its truest form.
You enjoy making content for people that enjoy it, and giving back to the community - that is what making these videos is for, I guess.
I really like how honest and authentic Adam is! 👍🏻 Stay this way 💚
Seeing all this from other side ... Adam! Take care, you are the best, man!

thank you for being such a great ambassador for our sport!
Thank you from France, for all your videos, and all the kindness you have !

Definitely giving back to the community. Great entertainment is what people need the most in these times.
Being top never comes easy, Adam shows us what it takes!
I know adam was my idol since i first saw his climbing video 11 years ago...
Stay who you are adam and thankyou
I LOVE the scene where Adam is sitting alone on the bench outside the Film Festival Venue. Thank you Adam!
1:22 throwing some holy chalk in the air always ensures good climbing for years to come 👍🏻
😅😅

I love the pun with being contagious while elbow-bumping!
These videos bring joy to my day. Thank you for being you
Always inspiring, Mr. Ondra, thanks for sharing with us all.
Adam, you're true inspiration, as a climber and as a person!
Thanks for sharing as well something from your "non climbing" life Adam!
Jsi super a moc držím pěsti ať se nadále daří. Jsem hrdá, že máme takového lezce :-)
You are amazing , thank you Adam
Society, you're a crazy breed.
Sure is important to go into the wild and be alone in your head sometimes to sort yourself out. Good on you to talk about this side of your professional life. 👍
Is no one going to talk about the fact he got his first sponsorship at 10 y/o?

That is so inspiring. ☺️See, how Adam Ondra reach all that points. Personally I’m not such a good climber, but Adam gives me a HOPE to improve myself. Not just on climbing but also in many ways.
Thank you Adam☺️
Climbing isn't really about being better than others. Its to get better than you used to be. Granted thats the same in any sport and any part of life
Great episode!
Adam looks so cute and shy holding the scissors after having opened the new gym, at 1:39 such an awesome real guy
glad to see that you didnt do an ad as a weekly :) great video thanks adam
Eres asombroso!!
You are the best !
No climbing in this video but still love it!
From great power comes great responsibility
This one was heartwarming
You are great!
Such a great dude!

Huge respect
I get so hungry watching his videos
Love from India
Adam at age 10: Gets sponsored
Me at age 10: Eats playdough
Me watching this video crushing icecream in bed thinking " Well at least Adam crushed a pint of ice cream at the end of this video"
Rock climbing is getting bigget and bigger and more popular
Really cool video
Everyones always asks for a photo with Ondra, but never how is Ondra :(
Berlin has really nice climbing gyms and spots if you're looking for a vacation from all that work :D
Sometimes a man just needs some time to sit on the pavement and eat his cabbage!
I like my alone time too
Personal space is essential!
Legend.

want to keep the rocks prestiene for future generations to enjoy
Respect
You are so good
You da man
how many languages do you speak? Czech, english, italian, german, spanish (?). You are not only a climbing genius!
So cool to see what you get up to on the roads! Do you edit these videos yourself or do you have help with them? I’d imagine it would take up a lot of your time!
Have a look at the video description. It mentions a whole team.
comment for the algorithm
How many languages do you speak? Italian, German, English and Czech?
you always need that alone time to maintain your focus
Adam's neck is insane
2:31 is that Greta Tunberg ? Too Ondra, wish u the best.
Imagine getting sponsored at 10 years old
How many language do you speak?
DANKE
How many languages does he actually speak?
Strong as
Just a man and his tub of icecream..
How the fuck does the best climber to have ever lived only have 224k subscribers? He even makes top quality content! The world deserves to die
Damn who hurt you
Being alone with yourself could be healthy😁
He speaks Italian also?!?!? Damn
