Two comments: first, I absolutely love when you retrospectively overlay your thought process/commentary with the footage of the climb. As a beginner climber, it is very insightful and engaging. Many times while watching difficult ascents, my lack of familiarity with the moves makes it difficult to truly appreciate the feat that is being done! Secondly, as an American who has never yet traveled to Europe, Adam's videos have been extremely eye-opening for me to what so many of these wonderful places look like. I'm unfortunately very ignorant of the beauty and cultures of many places including Slovakia, so I thank you for your wonderful content and videography. You are one of my absolute favorite channels on this site. Wishing you the best!
It is super cool to see all these Eastern European countries climbing areas. My list of climbing destination holidays is growing with every trip. Thanks Adam
Though I know it isn’t required for a ascent to count, I always think it’s great (maybe more relatable?) to see when the climber (Adam or otherwise) hangs their own draws on their onsite or flash attempt. Another great video!
I like the vids too, but you feel that there is a whole editing team behind them. Sometimes I would prefer something more artisanal, which would really come from him. It looks a lot like TV here. Obviously he is not a RUclipsr so it's perfectly normal like it is 🙂

Love the slow commentary accompanying his climbing, love the drone video showing everything with great detail! always nice productions. an opinion on the compositing follows. that snaky dashed line that marks the routes is a bit confusing. maybe revealing static dashes with a mask, instead of pulling them upwards, will be better. now this pulling creates an inverse sense of motion that confuses the eye instead of helping it understand the route path. just my two cents, keep up the wonderful work!
@@bigmountaingoat8401 it will just be a redpoint since he knows the beta for half the route. An onsight requires that you haven't climbed or seen someone climb any part of the route.
Itd be a flash then. Which is a term more frequently used in bouldering, however it has its place in hard sport+trad. Flash = send on first attempt. Onsight = send on first attempt with no beta or route research whatsoever (didn't watch anyone else do it, didn't get any beta from a friend, haven't seen video or photo or read about moves, can't suss out moves from the ground).
"Guys I'm so sorry I climbed only 8b+"
Don't worry Adam, it was an awesome video and your commentary of the climb and the moves was perfect
Only...
Really enjoy the commentary during the climbing, and the music. :)
Agreed!
The music is superb!
100%

The voice over while climbing, describing the moves, is really great!

Really excellent.
Sad to hear the hold broke but props to the guy for trying to fix it
Adam, nobody would ever say "you didn't have enough courage to go for an 8c". Thanks for this great video, once again!

adam almost apologizing for doing an 8b+ and not more xD
It just wouldn't be in Adam ondra video if he wasn't yelling wildly.
“For me, having a bolt right underneath my feet”. WAIT A MINUTE!!! 😂😂😂 But for serious, Ondra, you’re the man!
I really like this cinematographic style

Oof.
Amazing songlist... too bad that except midsummer night, none of them can be found on spotify or even youtube 😭

Gotta love the food holes.

Very good video 👌
Adam ondra, climb the zeitgeist (8a) first 8a from austria it should be wonderful , it is in Mixnix

Nice video!
really nice music
The real Tarzan!
If the mono that broke and was glued back on isn't the same size as it was before, shouldn't it be allowed to mill the hole bigger with tools?
👍👍
I wonder, if he comes next time and tries the 8c, will it still be on-sight even though he knows the bottom section of the route?
No. :)
I would say yes still an on-sight.
@@bigmountaingoat8401 it will just be a redpoint since he knows the beta for half the route. An onsight requires that you haven't climbed or seen someone climb any part of the route.
That's why the choice was so important: had he failed on the 8c he wouldn't be able to on sight the 8b+ anymore, so he preferred the safest choice.
Itd be a flash then. Which is a term more frequently used in bouldering, however it has its place in hard sport+trad.

If i were to climb that route and the belayer did that to me, I would have killed him lol!
