I love this video, it's great to be able to see just how hard the world's top climber works on a daily basis. I wish we could see every detail though, I want to know his warm-up stretches, his rep/set ratio on the campus board, and his injury prevention techniques. weird thing is Adam Ondre was in my dream last night. It was a crazy dream, wondered round so many strange places. Michael Phelps used to do the same. Train 6 days a week, while other swimmer did 5. In the end that is why he quit cause you can only do this for so long.
I‘m wondering how this guy is able to climb five hours and more in one day without bleeding hands. I often try to add more training sessions over the week, but it‘s always a lack of strong skin on my hands that stops me from doing so. The question is: what is your secret about your hands? Peace☮️
I wonder the same thing- I have tried many products and supplements. I think skin toughness can be built to a certain degree and beyond that genetic skin thickness?
You have to climb real rock consistently. And sometimes you bleed and get blisters. But its all part of the game. When you've been doing it since childhood you can recover faster.
When I first started climbing I would go to the gym maybe once a week, since the closest one was over an hour away. But the first 5 to 6 times I went I would get skin tears and blisters every time and each time I would climb for about 4-5 hours and just tape up when I’d get one. But I’ve been getting less and less and now can climb for quite a few hours and rarely get as many blisters or tears. And my fingers aren’t nearly as calloused as someone who climbs a lot. So just more climbing makes them tougher

@@joshualara4612 yes, there is more to it. Chalk really dries out your skin thats why it is important to moisturize it on a regular basis .
