  • Niceguydave has put many miles on his boots, from fighting wildland fires to tree work to hunting and hiking. He gives his thoughts on how the Lowa Ticam II work for the professional tree climber. (Spoiler alert - they're very good.)
Don't mist the Rant about boots in tree work and how to get the most out of them over their lifespan, at 4:15.
The Ticam II is a great lightweight hiker with excellent support. Breathable, waterproof, and flexible, this boot will help you get to a remote climb and then can keep on right up the tree.

Thanks, I think this may be the boot for me. LOL RUclips closed caption. I'm not a hiker and it took me a while to figure out why anyone would want to carry around a 60 to 80 pound rock.

Two thumbs up on the Lowas, you put me in those this spring and they have not disappointed! Lots of off trail work and several spur climbs, good boots.

Hey Ace, they have Lowa's "Trekking Hard" stabilizer in the sole, which is Nylon. You can check them out here: www.wesspur.com/items/clo161.html

Dave says they can be worn on hooks without issue. Hope that helps!
