    To clean my Misto I soaked everything, especially the top pieces (all disassembled completely)in boiling hot water and vinegar. Then I left all the disassembled pieces soaking overnight in hot soapy water, changed out a couple times. The next day I washed it with soap and water and it was good. Make sure to take it apart.

    For the oyster sauce, try sticking a table knife in it as you hold it upside down. Create a sort of channel for air to get up inside, which allows the thick sauce to flow. We used to do this with the old glass ketchup bottles.
    Do you find that oyster sauce salty? Something is making my dishes salty and i don't know if it's the oyster sauce (same one) or the Shaoxing wine

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  4 года назад +3

      ShaoHsing is not salty. Oyster sauce is not as salty as soy sauce but would be a source of saltiness. We often will use oyster sauce as a condiment for Chinese green vegetables.

    Well I love it! Even though I don’t have an air fryer I could certainly make that dish. My walk is about 18 years old and I’m wondering how you keep it so clean. It’s just a myferty. Regarding the recipe since I don’t have a fryer could you see are the chicken in the wok with a little oil, and have it come out alright? And c add honey to make it sweeter? Y’all are v gems. I always learn something new. Tell Dude that I prefer Wild Turkey 101 bourbon 🥃

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  4 года назад +1

      Thanks, John! You can skip the egg and potato starch and just stir fry it. Cook the chicken in the wok first, until cooked through, then follow the rest of the instructions. My wok is stainless steel (vs carbon steel or cast iron) so it’s heavier but it doesn’t require seasoning. I bought it when I was young and wasn’t sure I could keep a traditional wok well seasoned and without rusting. You can definitely use honey in place of sugar. We’ve been trying different kinds of bourbon. So far, we enjoy the Bulliet over the Wild Turkey but it’s been so long, I can’t even remember why! LOL

    Since you cook for a family of four, I often wonder why you don't replace your toaster oven and Philips air fryer with a convection toaster oven. One appliance that can do both tasks and has a lot more room than the Philips. Anyway, thanks for posting this updated recipe!

    • @FloLum
      @FloLum  4 года назад

      Because my toaster oven won’t die. Had I known about convection toaster ovens at the time I purchased the airfryer, I would have gone convection toaster oven instead. So I am stuck with my philosophy of using what I have for now.

    • @red94mr28
      @red94mr28 4 года назад

      @@FloLum That's a fair reason. I think a lot of people don't know about convection toaster ovens or don't realize an air fryer is just a small convection oven. The difference being the smaller volume of an air fryer basket allows food to cook a little faster than in a toaster oven sized convection oven.

    Hi Flo🤗.New subie here. I found your channel coz im searching airfryers feedback👍☺️. And I think I’m convinced now, planning to buy one. Just want to ask also, have you heard about Saladmaster? • @FloLum
      @FloLum  4 года назад +1

      Welcome to the channel! I am one to always invest in items that will last instead of cheap items we tend to use and throw away. It is better for us and the environment. If you check out some of my best kitchen item videos, you’ll hear me say over and over again, “I think I’ve had this for 20 years...” I have never heard of Saladmaster but that does not mean they do not have great products. I have used my KitchenAid pots and pans for 20 years and they are still great. Mind you when I bought them, they were likely better made then than since they have been purchased by Whirlpool. But I find things in general are not as well made as they once were, when they were built to last. Hope that helps.

    Thank you Flo, excellent video as always...just wondering if I could use almond flour....I am trying to find recipes w almond flour for my air fryer. Btw just found this channel about bone broth which was helpful to me. The cook uses Costco organic drum sticks and uses the slow cook option on her IP...so you can get the bone broth full of collagen, use the chicken meat in some way and then she uses the bones again (with vegetables each time) for a second bone broth batch ! Goshen Farm and Gardens. I watched both bone broth videos after I had made bone broth from neck bones last night. I am trying to make some healthy options to lower my 89 year old dad's and my inflammation. We have lots of arthritis. I also made some fresh tumeric, pepper, ginger, coconut oil paste...which I am going to take a teaspoon or less since it tastes TERRIBLE to see if it helps my inflammation. Be well and stay safe !

    Those misto misters are the worst
    Nobody has had any luck with them. After nominal use.

      @@FloLum Flo I have both the misto and the evo mister. And the evo works well. I only have cleaned the nozel twice and have had it over 2 years. Check the Amazon they have a 2 pack for a good price.

      Thanks, Jack! Did you tell me about this in another video? Maybe someone else also recommended the EVO spray bottle. I will look into it!

      Use 1 tablespoon soy sauce instead.
