the astra gsi of this particular generation was an extremely successful 2wd rally car here in finland in the 90s and early 00s. thats how you know its a pretty cool car.
The more videos of V1.2 that are uploaded, the more jealous I am that I still can't play it as a V1.1 player lol. Cause while V1.1 is amazing in its own right and I love it, it doesn't compare to what V1.2 is bringing to GT2 on top of V1.1's current additions in terms of new cars, more new events from what I've heard, etc. Safe to say I am eagerly waiting for the release date to be announced!
The Opel 20XE was the best 2L NA inline-4 engine by far at the time, with an impresive power and torque band that no other manufacturer was able to match. But yeah, unfortunately, the chassis wasn't at the same level. I remember the motorpress back then saying that the perfect european hot hatch would by a Peugeot 309 GTi with the Opel engine and with everything put together by Volkswagen.
GT2 needing more sporty, economy-level cars? slips the Ford EXP Turbo, Mercury Topaz XR5, Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 (V6), and Dodge Shadow ES (V6) Lol, but the Pontiac Firebird GT Turbo would fit in as well.

Fair enough
Does the Astra have a race mod? If not a good idea for one would be an ex BTCC livery
I'd say a rally livery would be more fitting
You say it can't be downloaded, but actually my uncle works at Gran Turismo and I already have A-Spec 2.0 at home.
I'd like to see a race in either that awesome, mental LC2 or that Tom's T20 which I just know in my gut is probably uncontrollable.
HAPPY Father's Day!
Thanks?
the R5 Turbo is my favorite car in GT7
Didn't even know it was in the game
Wow R5 vs V6
❤❤❤❤

None of those are really sports cars tho
@TheRealEmile True, but neither is the AE86 or the Civic, being the peppy hatchbacks they are. Better edit for "sporty, economy-level cars" instead.
