The 'no stopping' signs on Trial Mountain aren't a reference to the driving mission, but instead that the circuit is meant to take place on a regular road, which is why it has regular lane markings. On frequented roads with no shoulder to pull the car off onto, like in the mountainous segments of Utah SR92, there will often be signs saying 'no stopping' or 'parking only in marked areas' to try and prevent people stopping in the road and blocking traffic, which tourists often do to take pictures, and sometimes due to the road's proximity to rock faces that present the risk of rocks falling onto the road
@mikehipperson Haven't been to one since grade school so I wouldn't know : ) As it were, I live next to a canyon road and see those markings frequently when I do canyon runs in my car, so I knew that's what the signs on Trail Mountain were for, and didn't consider that it wouldn't be common knowledge, which is something I do struggle with at times.
I gt a couple that you didn't mention: 1) The wind effect is actually removed (possibly completely) when you drive inside a tunnel, this can be easily noticed in the Stage X 2) The wind actually affects the slipstream area - if you are following a car and the wind is perpendicular to your movement vector, you better adjust your position behind the car to better use the slipstream since the wind has affected it - the faster the wind and closer to perpendicular vector, the more effect it has

I'm pretty sure that public lobby races count for the racing marathon, but not the practice as the game doesn't save any data from public lobby practice sessions. This also includes car milage and engine + oil wear.
Fun weather facts: - The track does dry more quickly if cars are present on it, however it appears it only checks that a car is in a particular micro-sector of the track, therefore if you drive out on track and park in one section it will dry more quickly there than the rest of the track. - The dry line effect in the game mimics the assist driving line rather than the actual racing line. - The rain pattern and wind direction/speed is generated when a lobby opens. Toggling between different weather settings / equal conditions etc won't regenerate this, you need to open a new lobby - The temperature of a lobby/race can be learned with the on board view of the Supra Gr 4 and Porsche Cayman Gr 4. As far as I know, no Gr 3 car has this information - On some tracks the effect of driving behind other cars in the wet is extremely exaggerated. For example a driver in P12 of Nurb 24hr can as much as 20 seconds faster over the course of a lap than the driver in P1
9:31 Just a heads up SuperGT, the animal in the top right is actually an elephant seal, not a sealion. Elephant seals can be seen in several places along the California coast, and are both loud and hilarious.

On one of the cone challenges you can drive out of the area the challenge is at and "free roam" around the track willow springs if i remember correctly. You cant use the ditch to jump the fence, but you can spend 40 minutes trying 😂😂
On cars with a handbrake lever, it's clearly in released position while driving. If you look at the interior in the garage, the lever is in parking position. From what I've seen it does not move if you pull the handbrake while driving. I first noticed this on a MR2. Looking forward to the next video as always 👍
9:30 and 15:03 This is actually a California Condor that is native to Big Sur and the surrounding areas that Grand Valley is based off of. It is currently a critically endangered species. It also has the largest wingspan of any bird in North America. There have been strong efforts that have been making some great progress in the preservation of the bird, in hopes that one day it will be removed from its endangered status. They can be spotted in the Pfeiffer State Park and surrounding Big Sur areas. Also, the famous Bixby Bridge is only about 30 miles and about 45 minutes away from Laguna Seca Raceway.
One piece of useless information I like is that when you enter most circuits, the grounds are pretty much perfect but as cars drive over the curbs and grass it gradually rips up the grass and turns it to dirt. Similarly, you can see the sand and dust on the circuit after someone has gone off into the sand banks until the dirt has warn off the tyres.
The Mclaren VGT Gr1 car has three colours available. The Noir de Noir colour scheme also gives the player a unique driving suit and helmet (with glowing LED lines on it). It also receives no fuel but recharges miraculously quickly during a pit stop (yet is listed as a mid-engine, rear wheel drive car).

this begs for a cut of just the paranormal bits with the xfiles theme playing on loop lol
One minute of silence for the marshals who don't realize their about to become bear's lunch.
Fun weather facts:
- The track does dry more quickly if cars are present on it, however it appears it only checks that a car is in a particular micro-sector of the track, therefore if you drive out on track and park in one section it will dry more quickly there than the rest of the track.
- The dry line effect in the game mimics the assist driving line rather than the actual racing line.
- The rain pattern and wind direction/speed is generated when a lobby opens. Toggling between different weather settings / equal conditions etc won't regenerate this, you need to open a new lobby
- The temperature of a lobby/race can be learned with the on board view of the Supra Gr 4 and Porsche Cayman Gr 4. As far as I know, no Gr 3 car has this information
- On some tracks the effect of driving behind other cars in the wet is extremely exaggerated.
Truly some of the facts of all time.
The UFO/Cow lore is absolutely unreal. I cant wait for a proper sidequest to explore the relationship fully
That’s 20 minutes of my life I’m not getting back, Steve. I really should have believed the video title but… I trusted you, Steve. I trusted you.
1:55 i love that the game gives you the option to race in pure darkness
I can see that being useful for some blindfold speedrun or something.
Hide mini map for no cheating
8:40 "There's an incredibly strange UFO abduction occurring at Grand Valley Highway 1".
Unlike all the other regular and frankly boring abductions happening everywhere else.
When your car is in the garage screen, the interior clocks show the real life time
4:32 There's also a plane in the background; I don't know if it's landing or taking off. Could be a reference to the arrival of President Ronald Reagan at the 1984 Firecracker 400, where Richard Petty got his 200th and final career NASCAR win.
It could also be a reference to the fact that the speedway is located adjacent to an international airport.
That headlight shadow "glitch" is mimicking real life. The amount of cars that bleed out my lights and usually light up the roof and rear view mirror, so I give them a little single finger wave. They should be able to see that
@@Swordboundthose shadows are accurate but the headlights of the car in front should be lighting up that shadow where they shine
@@sahmirlareum2718Oh yeah you're right, I must've misheard SuperGT originally :P
19:38 "...and just to the right of that, there's another cow." True poetry.
That was really well researched, bunch of these were new to me! Very well done - congrats and thank you!
15:38 the jets in the airport are F16s but the ones that fly over are F15/F14/F18s
I just wanna say that I’m glad you’ve made this video, your voice is perfect for this type of content!
Another fact: Wind noise increases when you pull out of the slipstream. Most noticeable in Teslas
If you wear a 3d headset, you can hear wind noise in any car and can know exactly when you're in someone's slipstream.
1. Electric cars can charge wireless, with a charge pad below
2. Fighter jets are region specific, there a few different models I have seen
3. When you drive the Porsche VGT, you also have a unique helmet, and overalls
All of that useless information is even more useless if you dont own a PS4/5.
The cat on Mount Panorama has a better 3d model than the Silvia S15 on Forza.
WE NEED MORE OF THIS
very few things more rewarding than finding something like the Loch Ness monster or the UFO / otter abduction. that stuff is so magic -- it makes gaming truly unique. makes you feel a part of a busy and very strange world. kind of like our own, only with far less politicians. it's a good thing.
2:00 in gt6, i tried to race the suzuki escudo pikes peak in gt world championship or something like that thought easy peasy until the night races came...
Love the attention to detail at Mt Panorama. Kangaroos are a huge problem here on Australian roads, even in urban areas. They have even occasionally jumped onto the Mt Panorama circuit during the Bathurst 1000 race.
Maybe you have to do a race with a length of 999+KM to see big foot at grand valley highway 1? 9:22
On one of the cone challenges you can drive out of the area the challenge is at and "free roam" around the track willow springs if i remember correctly. You cant use the ditch to jump the fence, but you can spend 40 minutes trying 😂😂

i am doing my math homework while listening to this and i almost fall asleep. i will play this video everytime i am struggling to fall asleep
19:46 is Senna pit stop
Mate in the blue shirt at 0:45 looking at the alien abduction and was like "Completely normal phenomenon"
That otter thang swanginnnn! 8:55
On cars with a handbrake lever, it's clearly in released position while driving. If you look at the interior in the garage, the lever is in parking position. From what I've seen it does not move if you pull the handbrake while driving. I first noticed this on a MR2. Looking forward to the next video as always 👍
The hardest part was probably geting the Roulette spin land on the gold bar 😂13:58
tonight on super GT:
GT7 has aliens
national geographic presence in a racing game
ambulanz
I'm only 0:29 seconds in and have just paused the video now. I became suddenly and fully aware that i'm not baked enough. To the bong.
Brb
8:53 I don't mind the cow but poor otter, man. They're so cute.
10:10 alot of Latifis
9:30 and 15:03 This is actually a California Condor that is native to Big Sur and the surrounding areas that Grand Valley is based off of. It is currently a critically endangered species. It also has the largest wingspan of any bird in North America. There have been strong efforts that have been making some great progress in the preservation of the bird, in hopes that one day it will be removed from its endangered status. They can be spotted in the Pfeiffer State Park and surrounding Big Sur areas.
Also, the famous Bixby Bridge is only about 30 miles and about 45 minutes away from Laguna Seca Raceway.
For some reason your useless information about Bixby and Laguna has made me very happy
10:55 Magnusta? 🤣
Fun fact: Gran Turismo 7 isn't the 7th game
It’s the 8th inint
the AM Valkyrie's front and rear aero changes based on your speed
SpaceX double touchdown in GT7, aliens n cows , cat.. are u fucking kidding me :D
this is EPIC
The Mclaren VGT Gr1 car has three colours available. The Noir de Noir colour scheme also gives the player a unique driving suit and helmet (with glowing LED lines on it). It also receives no fuel but recharges miraculously quickly during a pit stop (yet is listed as a mid-engine, rear wheel drive car).
4:06 Maybe that might be that big aass flashlight from china
Who threw the flashbang?
Love your videos and content, your the one who actually got me into GT7 and I’ve made a amazing friend from it and now we race all the time. Thank you for the inspiration!
6:21 pretty sure everyone knows this
Also the clock when you're in the garage is relative to the real world time depending on your region and time zone of course
When you realize the cats, cows, kangaroos, and bear have a better model than Forza Motorsport's recycled cars lol XD
Gran Turismo 7 - The Real Wildlife Simulator
Hey Steve, FYI it's not Ukraine-russia conflict, it's russian invasion of Ukraine
Enjoyed this info,Steve. Some I was clueless about! Looking forward to the next one.
Now this is the sort of Gran Turismo 7 content that gets me intrigued! 🔥
Deadass i would love a part 2. This is interesting to listen to.
This video proves that complete useless info is inversely proportionate to to absolutely interesting facts. Kuodos good sir!
This is definitely my type of video. I love the environmental details and looking for this type of findings. Super relaxed and straight forward. Quality content bro 💯
