  • Fayetteville, NC. The derailment happened earlier in the day. This video is being shot at around midnight Friday night. This cleanup got started after I finished shooting Q410 which had its own problems. I would have had more video if I had an extra battery. You don't get to see this kind of stuff everyday. But I do hope it gives you some idea as to how re-railing freight cars are done, now a days. Hope you enjoy.

From a retired professional photographer, my compliments to the chef! You might have some top-notch equipment, but you've also got the skills to put that tech to work. I am amazed at the clarity of these images, filmed at night in rather poor lighting conditions. Well done! I am quite impressed, and really enjoyed watching RJ Corman earning a buck or two! It's also kinda fun watching while someone else breaks a sweat!

The near track on the Cranemaster was sliding, not turning, most of the time. Was that done on purpose?

At 24:11, why is only one of the tracks on the white Cranemaster crane moving? The one closest to the camera is just dragging along on the concrete. However, that really impressive to see that giant train car just swinging the air like some gigantic Tonka toy. I love it! Great work guys! I am very impressed!!!!

Ummm you mean Rick corman? And no he never had anything to do with CSX. He started his own company doing MoW work in the early 70's. They are scabs and fucked workers out of great paying jobs for profit for himself. You Foamers act like he's a god.

I’m new at this but how does the Cranemaster unit move in a straight line when the left track/tread doesn’t appear to be moving?

When you first see the steel giant spread all over the ground, you wonder how in the world are they going to pick it up. But after studying history, it became quite apparent that the railroad is very good at picking up down trains. They've had a hundred and fifty years to practice at it.

This is only the second derailment I heard or seen in the 33 years I have lived here. And both times on this branch line, and in this section. They just did a total rehab on this branch including crossings.

I work security at a shipyard where they have their own tracks and locomotive. On the other side there are railroad tracks and I see a train every 10 to 15 minutes usually at night. Well the rail yard had a derailment 3 weeks ago. Their yard is so close they are on my security cameras. I filled in doing security at the rail yard. I am not shitting you I was stationed literally in between two sets of tracks. The tracks had maybe 100 feet or so spacing in between them. Those tracks made the tracks at my security job look like the slow lane during rush hour traffic. Holly fuck it was lie playing a real life game of Frogger with trains just to get to the building with the restrooms. 9-27-19
