- 1976 GMC 4x4 Suburban 3/4 Ton out of storage after 15 years. I needed to find me a truck, and find me a truck I did, right under my own nose. We are proud to introduce this good old 76 GMC Suburban Four Wheel Drive back into civilization after 15 years in storage. It was in Wisconsin and then driven out to California to have it slowly but surely restored into a "Sleeper" crawler/pre-runner. We plan to keep it looking like a "Day 2" 1976 as much as possible but with some mean new upgrades under the it's sleeve. Currently it has 6" Block, Shock, and Leaf spring lift. Small Block 400 CID Motor with new Cam and new stroke. Edelbrock 600 Carb. Turbo 350 Automatic Trans with aftermarket shift kit.

What an awsome old burb! Dont think i've ever seen one look so original and clean! Thanks for the video.
I'd take that over 2 brand new ones any day of the week
Who would'nt...but with a stock steeringwheel
Gorgeous Suburban. Love the color combination. Back when trucks were trucks.
Michael Brown All metal!
Oh man way nicer than my 94 burb I absolutely love this
Don't go rod it to death. Cherish it. Take good care of it and it will take good care of you. Someday, I'll be giving my grandson my 76 Chevy 3/4 ton Silverado 4x4. He's 11 now.
OMG! I want one like this soo Bad!.
I just turned 22 and Im trying to own one of these. others think Im crazy for wanting one but there is something about them That I love so much. you are really lucky to own one so awesome as this one.
That is the most beautiful truck!! I want it!!!
I have a k20 suburban with the sm465. I get about 17 miles to the gallon. Love my burn at 200,000 moles still purrs like a kitten and powerful as all hell. That is a nice burban.
i have a 93 4x4, but damn i love the perfect box look on these man. they look mean!
That is really nice. I love the 70's burbans. Really dig the colors of this one. Looks like the Sierra Classic gives the woodgrain and two tone appearance I like alot. May be on the hunt for one real similar myself.
awesome. factory air, tach, woodgrain interior, 3/4 4wd suburban. coolest sub ever!
Awesome rig. My 75 K20 Suburban Estate will soon be looking like this. It has a 454 in it now with bucket seats, but im going back to the original 400 and bench.
Thats a really nice Suburban, considering its been in storage for 15 years.
kramerguitars204 Thanks!
"Holy Mother of Effffff...!" We had one of these Beauties, complete with a heavy-duty towing package, purchased in Summer, 1976! We named her "Betsy", she was Sky Blue and White" in color, and we had her until *well* into the late 1980's. Many a Summer Trip with our 20' Camping Trailer, either up to our Campsite in Alpena, MI.; Jellystone Park in Indian River, MI; or road-tripping to Cedar Point, were spent in that vehicle. My sister and I spent numerous times half hanging out of the tailgate, window open, no seatbelts whatsoever. We made a nest of blankets in the back, and knew no better...!
And 10 mpg
I absolutely LOVE those body style suburbans!!!! Never really cared for brown or orange but the color combo on that thing is gorgeous...and that 400 sounds AMAZING ❤
gorgeous, i would totally drive that every day
+xjmachine Thanks! We did for 5 years. Did a BigBlock engine swap and now it's just a show and trail truck. Weekends only. Ha! Thanks for watching.
I'm going out today to look at a very similar suburban (but in much rougher shape). It's got new tires on it and is mechanically sound, so can't really complain. Guy only wants $600 for it! At that price, I could replace every single mechanical and electrical part and it would still be cheaper than owning a new SUV. Wish me luck!
magnificent. I hope that the truck is still driving around. Greetings from Holland.
Got winch back in the 80s from a truck shop in Madison WI. Back when you had to "Go to a store" to buy stuff. Ha.
I’ve watched this video before, one sweet burb! Love the winch bumper. The one oddity though is it was ordered as a 3/4 ton but with tiny mirrors 🤔
Noah Garay we’ve never understood that either! Original owner doesn’t remember the option of bigger mirrors. It was a full custom order in 75 so we’d love to know if the bigger ones were an option this year on a 3/4 Sierra Classic?...
Offroad Outdoorsman My friend told me a story of his grandfather who ordered a K30 which came accidentally with the giant camper mirrors. I don’t know which were stock for a k30 or K20, but he had the regular style put on. Same friend has a c20 with the same little mirrors which were ordered so the truck could fit in his tiny garage. I’ll bet they were standard on a half ton, but probably an option with credit given back on a 3/4 ton? Would make the most sense to me since a 3/4 ton would do more hauling, then the standard mirrors would be one size larger?
What a beauty
I have a 74 K/20 Suburban, but it's Ganada biege, and white two tone.
71 k, and I'm using your ideas to finish it.
2 and a half lift, same wheels you're using and 33 inch tires.
Can't wait until it's finished!
These are the very old 36” fun countries. We now have BFg km2 36” (metric size).
That thing is awesome! I'm currently restoring an 87 and might just have to go with the brown and orange. Beautiful truck!
Beautiful man im looking to buy an 87 for my daily driver
beautiful burban.

Wow that is what the doctor told me i need for my daily driver lol thank you for sharing God bless.....

BladeEdge1221 Thanks! Thanks for watching.

Move video's please! Looks like a true American Expedition rig!
Thanks! I'm still in the middle of restoring it too. Did a Small Block to Big Block swap as well as new Trans and Trans Case. Doing the guts first. In the middle of editing the footage of the swap so check back for it. I also may need advice as I'm still working on it...
Nice!
Thanks. It is definitely bringing us back to the late 70s. It's basically a family heirloom. It was given to my by my godfather... the guy in the bibs in this vid.
@SixSpeedSS Thanks man! Let me know what you get. There's a ton available out here in California. No rust.
Thanks. 6" lift blocks n leafs, tires 38" bfg KM2, wheels WheelVintique OEM GMC, bumper Warn "transformer" with 8K winch all from 80's. Happy you like it. Feel free to share it!
sweet i love it
nice!!!
la suburbana luce muy bien! buen trabajo
i love it
Preach!! Love ti!
Thanks! Sounds even better now. I put a big block in it. Check back for the engine swap documentary...
Thumbs way up!!
@thedamnredneck Adding some slowly. Making some fixes and restoring it slowly so I'll add some of those vids soon as well as some more trail drives with it. There's one more trail drive here on my channel if you want to check it out.
I want to have this one trucks
Nice. This Brown and Orange was a custom combo. In 75-76 you could choose any combo if you ordered from the dealer... from what I understand.
Thanks! Yeah, it's a ton of metal. ALL METAL. There's maybe 2 plastic things on it. The Dash and the AC housing! Haha.
If you haven't already, please subscribe. Much appreciated.
rChurchie
Thanks!
Thanks! It's so beautiful it's ugly sometimes. You can't have it but I'll give you a ride. haha.
i had one of these, same set up but a bit newer being a 82. its fun to try to park that thing into a parking lot between the lines. mine was a rusty turd though and used for offroading. only had it a few years, it was just to dang big and had a heck of a time getting that thing around the trail
Yeah, it's not the best trail truck. Only if the trails are REALLY wide.
rchurchie nothing beats a burb or a k5 bud they go threw anything this is a show piece i hope it still looks this good
fuck the new models, this is beautiful just like this.👍 old guy did a great job.👏
@Mr85chevyk20 Those were DC Fun Country 35x12.5x16.5s. Those tires and wheels were junk. I loved the Ansen(sp) Sprint wheels but they were 16.5 which barely anyone makes tires for anymore. Weird old 80s size. Now I have BFG KM2 37"s.
There's some reasonably priced one's out there. The Suburban's aren't as popular of a resto project like Broncos, Blazers, and Scouts so they're still cheap... but may need a lot of TLC. Thanks for watching
In that condition worth top dollar. You don't see those on the road ever. All been scrapped.
This would cost.....a fortune in Sweden, maybe 2 fortunes. Beauty
nice
I like to c factory colors mine was same orange but yellow on sides same wheels too
go down on Shirley's but and Ryan sold his car... hello there's some helpful knowledge
😍😍😍
Beautiful Burban! What all does it have? (lift size, tire size, wheels, bumper) What do you guys use it for?
goodness graceous!!1!1 after 1w5 years! if that even poissible?!!1
For the most part. He would take it out once in the summer to change the oil. Family issues took his offroading' days away for a while.
Where did you get that winch bumper? Super nice.
Very nice ... like stepping into a time machine ...how much did u buy this for if u dont mind me asking ?

Thanks. Not a bad lookin' Dodge yourself.
Thanks! You have a Buban'?
the fella driving the rig looks a bit like Micky Rooney
Gas 6.6L SB 400. Motor's been rebuilt twice. It's pretty shitty. Planning a crate GM Performance 454 BB.
If you still have it and willing to sell, I’ll buying it
Don't see too many with a factory tachometer
So iconic very nice wanna sell her to me
Fucking gorgeous omg perfect shape I absolutely love that
joe Costello Thanks Joe! Thanks for watching.
what size are the tires ?
Il take a old chevy truck over anything and il build it into a drag truck or a off road monster.
brown truck with orange stripe? Wow I thought to be a designer for GM you had to pass a drug test. The proper colors to go with brown are tan, black, gold, copper or even light yellow. Orange looks good with white, gold, copper or even black. Also 3/4 ton suburbans are used mainly for construction or cattle rustling not to drive around and waste gasoline. I have a 1977 1/2 ton with a 350 and I get 16 miles to the gallon on the freeway doing 75.
Thanks man! New big block going in it tomorrow. The original 400 is giving up on me. I'll check out your vids too! And if you up for it we appreciate any Subscribes!
Thanks
rChurchie
