    I would make a box in the center console behind the seats for everything you always have with you, like food or the victory pie.
    And then do a couple of drink holders on top back against the wall, better to have the water bottles back there than have them rolling around on the floor...
    Cheers from Northern Sweden!

    For that style of truck, the air horn goes on top of the cab. A little loop lanyard comes down to operate the horn. Of course, that's an air horn. But burying a chrome air horn in the engine bay is a no-no!

  • @sw6188
    @sw6188 Год назад +2

    I'd put the air-horns on the cab roof facing forward, along with some orange marker lights. The wrecker is deserving of some loud-as horns and up high they'll be heard for sure. You could run an air-line up through the cab and just have a quick-couple fitting so the cab can still be lifted off.

A tip for that helicoil is once it's fully inserted remove the tool and turn it 1/4 turn and out it back in and smack it with your hand, That will usually break the tang off then you can blow it out with air or just let it fall out. That works about 87% of the time for me the other 13% of the time i have to snap it off with a skinny pair of needle nose plyers.

    The finesse and care you guys take is really inspiring, yo uall work so well together and your posts are great. When I was working on my old Landover I noticed a lot of waste of space for instance in front and behind the wheel arches inside the rear, so I cut oblongs out and made metal boxes that Hung in the openings a few self tapping screws to secure and metal lids, I stored tools and spare bulbs spark plugs a condenser and a set of points, a tow rope a jack and still had spare space. Why not do similar for the centre console of the wrecker for perhaps drinks and snacks spare light bulbs etc etc. I had easy clean seat cushions made they like bench seats.

    26:50 Mrs. Chad: might help you crimp easier if you put the end of the bottom handle on the tabletop and just press down against the table. Saves your hands a bit. You might need to sit on a higher seat to get better leverage.

    OLD SCHOOL....was CABLE LACING using a Waxed String/HD Thread instead of spiral wrapping with tape. We had a flat hook tool that was a spacing width..and like a canvas sailmaker stitching, we would Loop and Hook and SPACE and Loop and HOOk....etc until we had the cable bound together. The color wires were easily visible for wire tracing.

    @1:38 A jump seat for Jamie when 3 in the cab. It will be a tight squeeze for her, but already have seen them ride that way. At least she would have a cushion for rear and back.
    Lithotomy stirrups for her legs..

    Mind boggling not only figuring all that wiring out, but how to make it all come together and work ! WOW ! How did you learn how to do all of that???

    Out of about 10,000 wires you are running in that truck, you messed up one of them. Oh the shame. You guys are amazing. I have no idea how in the world you keep any of them straight. Great job.

    You need to add a seat to the console. They always squeeze extra people in. And add a couple seats in the back for the camera crew.
