Chad, you and your family rock! Your wiring work and attention to detail is out of this world. Keep up the great job of teaching and passing down your knowledge to your kids. The world needs it.
Take all the time you need, Chad. You having the wrecker makes Matt's channel much more entertaining. None of those easy recoveries that the wrecker made for them.
There's something very wholesome about watching your channel. It clear to me also, that there is a lot of respect shown, not just to your family, but to the entire crew. Such a breath of fresh air, when you consider what's also available on RUclips.
For that style of truck, the air horn goes on top of the cab. A little loop lanyard comes down to operate the horn. Of course, that's an air horn. But burying a chrome air horn in the engine bay is a no-no!
I'd put the air-horns on the cab roof facing forward, along with some orange marker lights. The wrecker is deserving of some loud-as horns and up high they'll be heard for sure. You could run an air-line up through the cab and just have a quick-couple fitting so the cab can still be lifted off.
Watching those harnesses come together and sitting down to reorder the terminals on paper by hand till I'm satisfied that I got the best config n build done. So satisfying my hands are tingling. I need to get down to that workshop again.
At least Matt went to the right place to finish his wrecker. It is not easy wiring it correctly but it appears you take the time to do it right. Most people don't have the patience to do it right. And it doesn't cost anything to be kind. I like your little anecdotes. Shows how you think too. ❤❤❤

I can’t think of one thing that you fellows cannot fix or work on! Absolutely, truly absolutely unbelievable. BRAVO! 👍 BRAVO!! 👍 BRAVO!!! 👍
Chad, your knowledge of wiring is incredible. So happy that you are able to pass it on to your Boys! Your fellow RUclipsrs are definitely benefitting from what you do!
17:18, the most important part of the build, re-fuelling the snacks! I've said it before; if you want a calm, orderly, organised job done, go to Chad's Fab,

@Chad's Fab If you're going to invest time and money into a "non paying" job you certainly picked the right horse to bet on. I'm sure you will reap the dividend multi fold.
Man that's A LOT of wiring work.... I could never be this organized. Since you started working on the wrecker I see you taking notes and constantly changing everything as the project evolves 👏🏻 congrats
You have to be at least that organized on a complex project like this. You'll just spend forever chasing errors otherwise. Looks like Chad 'n crew even had each wire printed with the function in addition to color-coding. I've only seen that before in aircraft work. It will really pay dividends when maintaining the wrecker.
