Hahaha love it buddy. When ya crashed the drone I was tickled. Buddys stories ripping around in those make me think that's what's in store with you guys in the future. Stoked to see what happens next!

@@Neals_Wheels do they have Cat or 4-53s, we had both, plus one mutant had a ford industrial many of ours were being converted to cat.. in winter they were warmer with an additional bus heater.. fortunately that one burned a cooked
The GPS were thirsty , the can catch you by surprise. Also winter cold starting needed heat with GPS, so good winter batteries or a genset ..
Are the skid plates and motor shielding still there ..if I remember right many of our were retrofitted to stop muck pushing up.
Where are you going over in Mckenzies?
We were working at the old Texas Gulf camp near the Redstone and Keale rivers. (Jim Coats Lake). there, even were a couple of scrap stripped bren gun carriers from ww2 surplus, on the trail, probably brought down from the Canol.
If long hauling defiantly not comfortable unless decent seats, noise gets to you, so earplugs and headsets..
Side sloping was always a fun experience Not with popped tracks or choked up.
Metal track? Rubber has to be good ,plus repair kits , side grousers..
Long time ago now when exploration budgets were no problem, hope this helped. Been retired for 20 plus..

@@Neals_WheelsI spoke to a fella I worked with , he said the gas Ford engined ones, were the scouts, the larger ones were diesel 110s or modified scouts..
He thought, that the crew cab was army field ambulance project..

this has really helped!! thanks for the info, were not too sure yet as were going to be getting them running in the next video before we start planning too many trips but really want to take them out there. so far they have turned over but not fired so hopefully doesnt need too much! ive heard theyre very noisy so were looking at insulating the engine cover for a start

Yup theyre gas, Ford 223ci. Ill have a look for the skid plates. i know there are some but not sure how high up they go, if memory serves me right they only went up about 8" from the front axle. I was mostly looking at the chain tensioner on the front axle when i was looking under it.
