The amount of miles that you have put on the Goat since bringing it back to life is legit impressive.
It's what it's for!
It really is. From dirt and cactus, to many many miles and good memories. That’s what it’s all about!
I have the Pacifica fans on my Lemans, I like them. The ford big fan is actually the most powerful fan you can get though. 4000 cfm!
@@PoleBarnGarageI don’t think it’s ironic to call the GOAT solid AF.
The Holey Goat has a lot of catching up to do after being sat idle for decades.
Here's to many more road trip adventures!
"There's no way in hell this thing is ever running on my track." Challenge accepted. Now you HAVE to take it back just to prove a point.
I don't think I'll be attending anymore NHRA clown shows
@@PoleBarnGarage that tech guys attitude sucked. you handled it well I may add. That Guy was just ego tripping sounds like you found out it wasn't "his track"🤣 and the guys track it was sounds rad to let ya run on a Sunday!! Did the Car With The Spring shackle welded to the bumper pass tech?
@@PoleBarnGarage Yeah I'm good. That's why I stick to road courses.
@@caseyrenner7024I believe it did, I saw a pic on insta with it on a track.
@@caseyrenner7024yeah, the guy with the bumper mounted spring shackle did run.
I like how adventurous JD is and glad you encourage him to explore. That’s what a good Dad does.
Can you imagine walking around the corner and seeing Dalton having a conversation with a cactus?
after watching this channel for a while now, i would be MORE surprised if Dalton WASNT talking to that cactus!! LOL
I wouldn’t expect anything less at this point brother!!!
Just watch out for the peyote 🐸 LMFAO 😆😆
Again??
As long as the cactus doesn't talk back, you'll be fine.
That Jess is a keeper bud! A sense of humor and willing to have a go at what ever you ask her to do. Priceless!
The Holey Goat. 100% Trashcan 🗑 Approved. Glad to see ya'll made it back safe and sound.
I'm glad Cody's car made it, else I wouldn't have spotted him or run into you guys at the Pilot. I forgot I was filming- got nice footage of the sky and the overhang. The thing about fame is that people feel like they know you even though of course you have no history with them. One of the reasons your channel works is that you come across as authentic. Authenticity is really hard to fake. Having met you in person, briefly, I can say that you are exactly the same in person as you are in the channel.
The Holey Goat, on the other hand, struck me as a little aloof and stand-offish, to be honest. Maybe fame is going to its head.
You know how those pontiacs can be 🙄
Man this was great! Alot of times I don't care for adventure episodes on a car channel, but you guys just make it real. I enjoyed every second. Don't ever change bro.👍
Never will buddy
An absolute blast. It was great seeing the Holey Goat in the burnout pit. Glad Derek approved.
I find it real funny the tech guy thought Tucson Dragway was "his track". He's sure as hell not the owner or operations manager that I know firsthand.
Average nhra smoothbrain
@@PoleBarnGarageseeing you use the term smooth brainer made my day 😂 I swore that was a only generational term to my generation
I understand that the guy has to follow the rules, but his attitude was unprofessional and unnecessary. Just fail it if you need to but keep the arrogant hostility to yourself.
This is one of the best video yet. It sucks that tech guy wouldn't pass you but it's just amazing how the holey goat is pushed through the test. And the places you stopped at awesome. Thanks again for you and JD and Jess and Cody for a great one!!
Thanks for watching!
Alot of those old guys always think they own the world, while the next guy let's you do jest about anything.
Yeah he handled the tech guy alot better than I would've
@alexmacy4323 same here I probably would have went off on that dude something serious 🙄 😊😂
Well said, I agree with you 100% on every word.
Such a awesome video! From start to finish. Seriously; best damn channel on RUclips! And adding Jess is a huge 👍
Once again Dalton you prove why you have the best RUclips channel. If we meet at an event, the beer is on me.
Taking JD to Cadillac Ranch assures your nomination for a Father Of The Year award.
As a car guy I am very jealous of the relaxed transportation laws you have in the US not to mention the abundance of old cars and v8 engines.. In my country that car would not be legal to drive, we dont even have old cars in junkyards and v8 engines are incredibly rare. We have to get cars inspected every 2years, and modifications are limited.. The nascarlo from the roadkill channel made me realise just how lucky you are in the US.
What abouts to you live? I live in the UK 🇬🇧
@@matthewbutler5236 I live in Malta. 1 drag strip is all there is and if it wasn't for the British we would not have it because it used to be a runway that they built a very long time ago.. took me years trying to get ahold of some american v8 power and funnily enough its in a British/European car so its the best of worlds in my opinion.
@@davidgalea6113 my friend went out to Malta. He spoke very highly of it. He was in drag racing and told me about it and I believe he said the president rides in the back of an old Austin ...anyway please to meet you fellow car guy
Such extravagant accommodations. You are letting this RUclips thing go to your head! Almost as nice as that extended stay motel I stayed in for a month in Hampton VA...
Oh boy..
@@PoleBarnGarage My mistake... Newport News... They're shut down now. I paid a whopping $250 week to stay there too...
Try the Ha' Penny Inn in Fresno, CA if you really want dumpster fire accommodations! The bathroom fan sounded like the GOAT without its exhaust and mattresses dating to the Reagan era.
What a great trip!...Glad you got to enjoy it with such great fam and your lady. Have you doubled your subs within the past 9 months!? I'm so happy to see you doing so well Dalton. Rock on!
Suppose I have! Thanks!
I like the way JD and Jess keep trading off riding in the GTO. 🤣😂😅😆
Thats awesome you guys met up with NNKH!! your channel and his are my favorites!
Good buddy of mine!
I was having an anxiety attack when JD & Jesse were in those tight tunnels Great video 👍
Yea im not a fan of caves/tunnels
This old fella really enjoyed watching this episode. Glad you and the family took me along for the ride thanks ❤
That NHRA tech comes from a time they sat on top of an exposed rear axle. But the Holey Goat isnt "safe". 😂😂😂
yeah, the comment about "that piece of shit not running on HIS track" annoyed me. I know they have a job to do, and keep folks safe, but attitudes like that piss off the "competitors" and without them, they dont have a job or track. This wasnt an NHRA sanctioned event, so dude, chill a bit.
They still wouldn't have floor pans if it didn't make the cars faster.
That guy was a real drag.
That was a hell of a journey. You're a good dad for bringing JD along. It looked like he was having the time of his life. The Holey Goat is indestructible! Can't wait to see it get reunited with its numbers matching original motor.
and take it to a concours car show Haha lol 😅🤣😂
The "Holeygoat" is rapidly becoming a household name...and so are you! Congrats on your success, brother... all your hard work is paying off! Great video!!! A+++++...
You could duct tape the holes in the roof of the GTO and then flex seal the whole roof so it looks like a vinyl top and you don't get rained on through the roof. I like how JD is so agreeable.
I really enjoyed the driveshaft shop content, the employees seemed to have a good attitude, it was pleasant, I hope they all enjoy their week.
The lady doing the driveshaft I wouldn't want to get on her bad side. She looks like she can throw down when she would need to. 😂
@@carlbernard4197 Yup I know a lady that reminds me of the driveshaft gal. She works on boats with her husband at a boat dealership here in Arkansas. I think she did martial arts when she was younger.
What an adventure. Your son will remember these days for the rest of his life. Better yet it’s all documented. Well done.
JD started WWIII I laughed so hard at that part 😂. Glad you guys got down there and back. Hope y'all had fun and next year when Power Tour comes around again I hope to join y'all either with the suburban once the motors built or the ol f150 (if it lives).
An awesome adventure it seems and excited to see the numbers matching motor on this car that will never drive again back in it rumblin down the highway!
It's a real shame that the car won't ever drive again!
Such a great video! 🥰 That was one trip for the books, that's for sure. Can't wait for our next shenanigans!
Soon!
Always a great time hanging with the PBG family!
It was like being in a "studio audience" from a 70s sit-com, minus the cheesy laugh track.
@@That70sChannel oh there were plenty of real life laughs to be heard!
LOVED this episode!! Car fun, road trip fun, burnouts! What more can we ask for?! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! ❤ Jess seems to bring the happy fun out in you!
Love seeing videos with jd and jess, good stuff!
JD is the best kid ever. So positive. "how'd you sleep?" ,"Good", "yeah?", 'Yeah..."
Awesome.
Thanks for the laughs.
Liking yr editing Dalton.
Hi from the future (Australia).
Hey guys I just want to say thanks for keeping it real not hide nothing showing how it really is and you have an old car and you try to get somewhere and you just doing it piece by piece thank you for keeping it real at least you're not faking like most channels fake thank you we appreciate the realness in your dtl is freaking awesome no matter how bad the body loves you guys didn't awesome job with the engine compartment thanks again preciate it you guys rock
my claustrophobia was kicking in watching JD going deeper and deeper into the cave I felt like I was right in there and kept finding myself saying, yep that's about far enough buddy let's turn around!!!😳🤦🏻♂️🤣
Like a mouse between two boards. Ultimate wegers 😅😅
Awesome road trip!! The holy goat made it! I really can’t believe a place that has a 5k hooptie challenge didn’t let you guys run in the event, what a bunch of BS!! Either way at least you guys had fun and got to run the track, props to the track owner for that. I tried to come out since it’s semi close to me here in CA but as usual life gets in the way. Excellent video and thanks for taking us along for the ride with you dalton! Can’t wait to watch Cody’s video next
That was great! I know road trip videos apparently don't do well on these kind of channels but I always seem to enjoy them. Keep up the good work
What an awesome adventure!! JD will remember the ride with his Pops and Jess. Cody probably will never forget a trip on ole route 66. I have watched other folks that went to the same drags...Vice Grip NNKH and all have spoke very kindly of you Sir. You are in my opinion a great friend wonderful father and a good man Dalton. I raise an adult beverage to you...CHEERS!!!!
I wonder if Bad Attitude Tech Dude will get plastered on the Interwebs. Sounds like his behavior was not in line with the event. Still, this was a success if you look at the long game; from being buried in a dry river bed to driving cross country, The Holey Goat is a true winner by any measure!
I am pretty sure that tech was put on blast big time on the interweb 😮😂😂😂😂
Right? Like how do you set an event up around some absolute heaps going down a track and get some stickler for the rules?
Minor problems all in all. (Well, except the driveshaft!)
I gotta say, I love those side pipes on the Goat! They just seem... right.
Thanks for taking us along!
That was just a ton of fun! Loved seeing the stops along the way, America is an amazing place if you just get off the freakin' interstate once in awhile and look at it 😁 Glad you made it home in one-ish piece!
25:23 Best line of the video. Gotta love Cody. Great video, Dalton! Looks like it was a blast!
Did not expect a segment of the video to be the gang spelunking!
Great road trip, hope y'all had a blast.
I’ve been on that corner too!! Stayed up in flagstaff for a week in 2019, went to the Crater, Winslow, the north and the south rim, and the MIM museum in phoenix. Fantastic trip to take, hope you had a good time, minus the lack of rear end.
4:07 "Met some RUclips guy. . .while we recovered from being starstruck. . ." ~laughs~ I intended to buy merch in Tucson to save on shipping. . . 'cause I'm cheap like that. Really appreciated the free shirt; free is my favorite price for anything. (Genious marketing) Here's a coupla bucks of gas money for the 3300 miles you drove to bring me a free shirt.
Thanks amigo, great meeting you!
This was a great episode! Dalton, nice meeting you at Duct Tape. We rolled up with the 68 Coronet.
I remember it! Keep up the good work
Good vid mate, great to see JD, Jess and Cody explore with you. what makes your channel stand out is the you and people around you.
We passed that yellow horse tourist trap on our loop around the United States back in 2018. It was a great trip and we put 6000 miles on our 200k+ mile GMC Yukon.
Drove it to the top of Pikes Peak.
JD is an awesome kid! Wish i had one!😂😂😂
There have been so many adventures between destinations that make the trips so wonderful watch and enjoy, Thanks.
Very cool. Glad everyone got back safe. Still saying that battery is ok if you have a 15 bay shop. Nice work Dalton, Jess, JD, the whole crew ! Soon you'll be at 250K subscribers man
47:18 You followed Low Buck Garage into the event! Definitely a channel worth checking out!
Great adventure, JD has NO fear bless him!
I was impressed with what you did to that step side Kevin and you dug up. I'd luv to see you take the goat and do some body work.
Impossible. Would need rebodied
Glad to see you got to make some runs!! Dang tech...i got hit for no neutral safety switch as well but cobbled one up 👍🍻 respect
Those accommodations at 4:10 are methed up. The trailer I grew up in during the late 1980's had a stereo system like that until my sister blew out the speakers.
Awesome video! Stayed for the whole thing you kept me hooked. Great to see you guys interacting with all the other RUclips channels we enjoy. I'd say a complete success despite the track owner-tech who said not on "his" track 😂 not allowing her to compete in the drags. Thank you for your efforts!
A Pleasant trip across the Country. < high faluting folk talk< Yall saw some cool stuff. Ole Goat will run. Had me worried in those indian caves. Great place fore a Sidewinder to hang out in the coolness. Glad you took JD along.
Epic journey!!! That was a PBG family vacation!
It was Totally awesome seeing you go through Las Cruces, New Mexico, my Hometown, saying the Oregon mountain pass. As you go to white sands, you pass the Missile range on the way there and Holloman Air Force base by Alamogordo, where the stealth bombers used to be stored.
Now they're right down the road from me!
Trip was a blast! I think I'm still healing from the Friday night though.
Idk how you guys did it. Being DD is the only way I survived 😅
@@jesswhomakesstuff I knew I was really bad... started staring into space and just threw a half a beer in the trash. That point you stop seeing everything as funny 🤣
DRiving + laughing + draging - pee stops what could go wrong hahahah thabk u PBG for the entertainment
You have improved so much! Great videos and Jess is awesome,!. Will be following your brother too. Thanks for your hard work. Ps live a hour south of Bradenton and a ex mechanic so plenty of tools. Respect Aron
Great episode bro, it was nice to see all the stops and antics along the way. I have to say though, the caves aren't my thing, you can go underground all ya like, I'm a surface dweller 😁.
Love the channel, looking forward to the 4x4 van conversion.👌😎👍🤘🇺🇸🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just watched the @vicegripgarage video..... How did the Holey Goat not pass tech, but Chris Birdsong @junkerup did?
Duct Tape Drags, only if you greese the right wheels or have a purpose built drag car.
Ding ding ding...
i was thinking the same thing...
@@PoleBarnGarageyes is so much of that crap going on in this nation. This stuff is going to be the downfall of the USA 😢😢😢😢
Enjoyed all the Shenanigans on the road trip the Holy goat always impressive. Wipers next
Engine and maybe some real windows 😊😊
Codys video was great. Jess had a great time.JD will have the best memories with you.
Looks like a blast. Always great to see the Goat!
I have to admit, this is my new favorite channel, partly because of the crazy projects but mostly because you guys do everything as a family
👍👍 🥳
2 minutes in and its already a fireball. Nice 😎
This was awesome! Thanks for all the amazing views in the video! Also you are hilarious as always! Looks like a fun , memorable family trip!
Great video Dalton honestly, sucks they wouldn’t let you in the racing. That tech guy was a you know what, but it’s cool you guys all went together. Jess is a cool addition to the channel, keep up the great work.
Thank you for sharing your journey, truly inspiring, and take care of JD, Jessy and Cody!!!
Pbg has quickly became my favorite channel
Epic trip and epic video!! The caves... you guys got guts. Love the shop interactions along the way. I have to do that drive someday!
Gotta say, I really enjoyed this one even more than I usually do.
Such a good brother you are to plug your brother's channel so many times. I enjoy watching both of you guys and hope both of your channels keep growing. JD is is turning in to quite the young man as well. Good to see a young person these days being interested in cars and the outdoors instead of just playing on consoles and their phones the whole time.
Can't believe you drifted into the brine.... Do you have any idea how bad that is for such a straight panneled vehicle? That ceramic coating won't hold 👌👌
Somewhere in one of those abandoned buildings along 66 was a large tin can waiting to be sliced down the side and wrapped around the failed exhaust on the Goat, preferably with hose clamps instead of real muffler clamps.
You just reminded me of how I fixed my exhaust in my sister's driveway a couple years ago during a visit. It fell apart on the drive in. I should probably get around to properly fixing that. Or I just leave it as temporarily permanent until is fails again. My willingness to find hose clamps and bean cans in a pinch exceeds my motivation to put new proper exhaust on a 3.1L V6 Firebird.
whod have thought that Demolition ranch's abandoned hotel wouldnt be the worst to stay in?
those tech guys are stiffs, make an event about drag racing homemade junk and then complain about all the homemade junk that rolls in
When you guys had the bird and goat pulled up next to the single wide i thought i was watching an episode of trailer park boys. Good stuff Dalton, keep it up!
I'm not gonna lie, I was following along on FB and waiting for the end when you get home and the Goat has a Bluesmobile-style death where everything falls off the car down to the frame rails and you just stand there and pay respects to it. I'm glad you saw it through.
Also, that built in radio was probably only ever tuned to one station before you messed with it. The radio station that covers all of Oklahoma in the hellfire and brimstone if you don't believe in the baby Jesus.
Found ur channel thru jyd and started watchin ur channel, jess seems like a fun rdtrip partner, watchin u guys drive thru my back yard,im 20 miles from joplin and 3hrs from kc, love ur travel cross country vids, keep em comin 👍
So you learned about the hardest part of side pipe life. Doesn't matter how many different things this one guy tried, it kept breaking off at the header collector. Even with expensive stainless flex pipes, Too much flex in the engine mounts, even though they were already new. Just fix it once a year. But they are so cool. It's worth it.
Awesome car.! Love the family and friend doing the trip together God bless you all and your trip.
You guys are crawling around caves like you havent seen The Hills Have Eyes 😅
Oh no. That's the only thing I could think of. Haha I promise! But if JD is going down a sketchy tunnel....guess I'm going down a sketchy tunnel 😂😂 That movie also ruined all porta potties for me too. Lasting effects 😑
Sweet van!! I for sure would rock tha van. You dont see them that straight. So good scoop. Cant wait for that video. Be safe guys.
Hell yeah, a cross country adventure with the holey goat. What could possibly go wrong! I approve of these fine decisions.
That was a quality hour of trippin' 🤩😎 Cheers guys from very far away Finland, northern europe! PBG is a RUclips gem! 🤘
Thank you!
Wow what an adventure. Glad you guys made it back home ok.. Needless to say not a big fan of Tucson Dragway. From what i seen of some of the other cars that passed tech the holy goat was no worse. Battery hold down.. neutral safety switch Bullshit.. You can tell those old dudes were pissed for even being there! You need to come over to the east side here and attend some of Cletus's events. They don't call it the freedom factory for nothing!
The owner and staff were so beyond amazing for hearing what happened and taking it upon themselves to make sure we got to run. Nothing but love for those guys and gal!
I mean, it seems like the Dragway was cool, it was the sticklers from NHRA who set the thing up.
Which makes no god damn sense. How do you set up something called "Duct Tape Drags" and then be surprised when something like the Holey goat shows up?
We were at the Grand Canyon in May. If you need something to make you feel insignificant, that'll do it. Imagine the gold rush wagons. They had to crap their pants.
Regarding Jess: Dalton you are a lucky man!
I grew up making do with what i could afford. Which was not much but i managed to have alot of fun with the old hot rods i owned in the past 40 years or so. Your channel is right there with VGG in my playlist. I get a chuckle at your antics and adding Jess to your videos is a nice touch. She seems like a really cool lady and im glad your sticking with it.
Sometimes I just hate living in the Netherlands, I wouldn't even been able to get off the driveway with this car without someone telling me I can't do that. :)
As a relevantly new subscriber I'm watching a lot of your older uploads and love the way you, your son, family's and friends are interacting with your videos. Think it's great your sons involvement in almost everything you do. Loving your content buddy and your 'ah screw it let's see what happens ' mentality lol. Keep the good work up buddy . Looking forward to seeing everything you have in store for future projects... Dave 👍
Daaaam, can't hide that RUclips moneys, that trailer is funking thiccc
I know I know, big time 😂
Cheers mate, love all the vids. Good to see all of the family and friends out with you, JD is a genius, you done a fine job with that kid 👍🏻👍🏻😎

Man, i am so glad i stumbled across you and Chris with NNKH. You guys are the best, hopefully you guys keep up this content and don't turn out like the other ones i use to really enjoy.
That NHRA official is a miserable old boomer, I appreciate he had a job to do in regards to 'safety' but his attitude towards the event was just disgusting.
Rules are rules and I get it. If the goat rolled up with a big choppy cam or a turbo or something, and it was clearly fast, yes you need safety equipment. But c'mon, I ran a 16.5 at 85 😂. I did 90 routinely on the highway
@@PoleBarnGarage exactly! Let's be honest if it was any slower down the quarter it would need a rear screen 😂
Thank you again for another great video showing the highs (and serious lows) of a regular Dalton just trying to get across the country for a car event. I look forward to the 4x4 swap on the new van, as well as all the other ongoing projects down at the Pole Barn 👍🇦🇺
Kudos to you all for hiking with JD to visit the caves. Especially Cody, I know it was rough on him. That was a cool road trip.
