The guards in central remand would often complain about them because they were so seriously addicted and unpredictable. Life is hard in northern Canada.
@@grnhrntskato I am gonna assume that you have experience in the legal system in terms of policing in some way so you are definitely the expert so my question is how and why they are able to get arrested so many times. This also applies to this video of how he got arrested so many times before and after this. So like, is there normally no system to stop them from getting arrested or something because it is pretty sad to see them get arrested over and over especially since they lose a lot of the misdemeanours and other charges and aren't punished as harshly as they should've been
@@kelts895 If I understand your question correctly, you are asking why offenders are arrested multiple times and don't seem to be held accountable to a significant degree. Once the police make an arrest and send the evidence to the prosecutor, the rest of the judicial process is out of their control. The prosecutor decides if there is enough evidence to take the case forward. If not, they will withdraw the charge. Next is politics. If the prosecutor is trying to keep the political boss happy so those people get voted back in, they might only prosecute those casses that they feel will make the public happy. This is why you saw so few prosecutions in Seattle for instance during the riots. If a case gets to court and the accused pleads guilty, there is often a deal made to drop other charges and minimize punishment. Again, this could be effected by the political mood of the day. Politicians want to "fix" the problem of having too many people of color overrepresented in jail. Finally, the judge decides guilt or innocence. They may have their own biases that play into their findings and punishments. in this way, offenders can end up going right back to their criminal activity, requiring the police to arrest them over and over as the rest of the system keeps letting them back out. I hope that answers your question.
@@grnhrntskato Very informative and great answer, that explains a lot thank you. Sorry for another question but would those same factors still apply in other countries or the country I live in (Australia) and if so, are they the exact same, more harsh on punishment, or more easily bias or based on politics

This guy only got 2 Years of probation for all of the charges, and most of them were dismissed. And he has been arrested 4 times just this year. @@CarsCatAliens I agree that low level crimes don't deserve years of prison time unless the offender continues to break the same laws. If one got arrested, the other two would wait outside our police station until the curfew on their probation order went by so we would arrest them and put them in jail together.
I think it's appropriate for some charges, but not all to get a longer sentence. There is the human element, and there is the severity of the offences. Non violent offenders should not get hit with that. Especially if the are class (degree) 3 or lower.
The deal here is the guy was mostly right about the stuff at the beginning. He wasn't miranandized so most of what he said didn't matter, and he was frisked on reasonable suspicion, which is only for weapons, not meth pipes. He probably only got OWI and battery since everything else got supressed.
@@CarsCatAliens I agree that low level crimes don't deserve years of prison time unless the offender continues to break the same laws. Where I live we have what's called habitual offender laws meaning if u commit certain crimes more than 3 times, misdemeanor charges can be enhanced to a felony.

“I understand he shot your car up but you have a bag of weed in your car you’re under arrest”
I find it hard to believe that the DA in la crosse is a bigger clown than this guy.... The amount of criminals they refuse to prosecute is ridiculous. This guy is an aggressive driver, with a meth pipe in his pocket, a suspended license, a backpack full of weed, admits to being drunk, flees from police at a traffic stop, and threatens police, yet gets all charges dropped. edit: when he already apparently has a mile long felony sheet
The DA needs to be prosecuted, himself
They probably made a deal that they would drop most of charges if he agreed that the off duty police officer will not be investigated for aiming the gun.
This is the kind of crap that makes my head spin. He is NOT an upstanding citizen, had drugs, paraphernalia, and open alcohol in his car, not to mention he needs anger management. The DA and judge said “oh well, no big deal” and allowed this dumba#$ to go free. 🤬😡🤬😡

The deal here is the guy was mostly right about the stuff at the beginning. He wasn't miranandized so most of what he said didn't matter, and he was frisked on reasonable suspicion, which is only for weapons, not meth pipes. He probably only got OWI and battery since everything else got supressed.

I'm so shocked that this calm and rational citizen would perpetrate a road rage incident that caused someone else to feel threatened.
The more shocking thing was that he was right, he did get away with the stuff he did, just like he said he would. Had he not threatened the police officer during his arrest he would have walked away without a felony.
How could this happen? He seemed so centered and Zen.
@@andrewmanzo8217I will never understand why some people insist on turning a simple misdemeanor into multiple felonies. Hell, when I got arrested I was trying to cooperate so I could get back home asap.
Irregardless, a person approaching your vehicle shouldn’t necessitate aiming a firearm at them unless you feel you’re legitimately in danger. Unholstering it - absolutely have it ready, but don’t aim it at an unarmed person otherwise you might very well contribute to a shootout - which could have happened here when he returned with his gun. It by far and large antagonizes a situation.
It seems like he was out looking for trouble and found it.
“Home Alone Kevin idk 🤷♂️” 😂

I’m sure his version of events has the off duty cop acting like a raving lunatic who pulled a gun on him for no reason at all.
Walking towards a car isn’t a reason to brandish a weapon
@@maxjohnsen9542 Depends on the situation. If the person walking toward the car is enraged and threatening and acting like he's got something in his pocket that he's ready to whip out and use, then YOU BET it calls for brandishing a weapon to defend yourself.
@@maxjohnsen9542h3 didnt point it at him until he...came back again. Lmao youre re tarded
@@maxjohnsen9542 Yeah it is. Especially acting erratically and the walk up being aggressive. Some states don't even have laws against brandishing.
