    I remember you were saying when you first got the Tenere you didn't have much experience in off road riding, well it appears that you are getting lots of practice now. Even lightly dropping the bike you are having fun and using the bike for what it was intended. Good video and I enjoyed your drone explanation and seeing it in action. From Canada keep the videos coming showing off this bike.

    Great tips Robert! And effectively shows that for all aspiring drone photographers and adv-riding drone photographers, they only way to actually get some decent A and B roll is to actually plan your shots. Auto track and follow will never give you that plan. Your examples are very good and even pro photographers could get some hints from this film. Keep up the good work. And side note. I have the Mavic Mini. But have the same setup as you. Controller on Eduristan 4H tankbag and the iPhone mounted at the same spot. Works great.

    Well done! I really enjoyed looking at your setup. I was thinking about a tablet as GPS and also hooking it up as the drone controller, when needed. Nice to see that work out. The drone does a much better job of showing the viewer how steep something is (over the GoPro). There are some places where parking it off to the side might help the viewer get a sense of just how difficult some terrain is. Thanks for this tutorial. I'll share it on a couple of Fbook pages. Maybe you'll get some more subscribers?

    Very timely video for me. I am in the middle of researching what drone to get and after seeing you use the Mavic Air, it makes me think the main feature I wanted, follow mode, isn't worth paying the extra money over a Mavic Mini. You can do everything you were doing, save profile mode, with the MIni, plus you get more flight time with the Mini, so it looks like that's the way I will go! Thanks very much for this video!

    Nice info! I'm just now prepping for a trip to Prudhoe Bay Alaska and just beginning research on how to attach the controller to the bike. Your Velcro solution is simple and straightforward. I own a Mavic Pro and thus far have been far too intimidated to try the self filming, moving, follow shots. I find I sometimes have trouble seeing my phone screen in the daylight/bright sun. I nearly lost my DJI Phantom once and had a 3 hour hike over hilly & rocky terrain to retrieve it.
    Then since I don't take much practice with the drone, it's sometimes a matter of trying to get my 66 y.o. brain to remember the menus and which mode I want to use. I guess I had better get cracking and charge those batteries! Thanks for the tutorial and hello from Montana!

      Similar desires and worries for me. I want to try, and will, but it already takes a quite a bit of mental energy to fly safely, not to mention riding a motorcycle. I can see myself relying on the static (hover) shots the majority of the time. I think I’ll practice in a big empty parking lot, or at a friends farm.

    Excellent video! I’ve wanted to do this for a long time (mostly on roads, in out of the way places), but feared it was not practical (or even legal?). Up to now I’ve just used my 360 cam on its little “tripod” selfie stick to achieve similar results (can edit the camera movement after the fact), but obviously drone footage would be even better. I’d always figured I’d just set up static shots with the drone hovering in different positions, but boy, the dynamic shots are amazing.
    Have you had any situations where you had close calls and had to split mentally to control both the bike and the drone?

    • @NomadSweden

      @@NomadSweden Oh okay Thanks for the reply.. I was looking at getting a used Mavi Air. Damn I was hoping you could put the controller away and ride with it would follow. Any ideas of other drones that can do that? other than a $2000 Skydio 2?

      @@coreykonkin5917 not as well as the skydio. You need the sports kit only for 1400. Still much but awesome

    Fantastic video!
    Had you added a few some silly super dry jokes on top, you would have surpassed even your original Ténéré presentation video. But still - an excellent video! Very good, indeed. Hope both Itchy and Pavlin sees it!

    Really nice video: how do you cope with the vibes from the motorbike? I mean, optics on drone and cameras are really delicate...

      I have heard about phone cams taking damage but i dont have phone on the bike. Never thought about the drone but there has been no problems. And the gopros are rugged

    But how on the open road, using your mobile can get you in trouble in many countries.

    • @NomadSweden
      @NomadSweden  4 года назад

      On the open road you should not stare at anything but the road. You would set the drone up and drive to a designated spot and stop. Then fly the drone again. Having a phone in a holder is not forbidden. Use common sense and stay safe.

    My Mavic Air 2 won’t follow me on my motorcycle. I use the DJI Fly app and it says it can only follow a car or a person, how did you get it to follow you?

    • @NomadSweden
      @NomadSweden  11 месяцев назад

      Follow mode on those older drones sucks. I did not use follow mode. I think i said how i did it in the video.
