This episode absolutely WRECKED ME.
I was already a huge fan of the game and knew they were lovers, but the game only mentions this in passing.
This is one of those rare occasions where changing the source material made it even better.
Absolutely cried during this episode. The show did these characters a happy ending that they deserved.
I don't normally get emotional watching movies or TV but that episode made me sob uncontrollably.

God, I loved that episode. Especially since they made it different from the game and actually gave them an ending that I feel they deserved. Or at least, to me it made the world their story is set in just that tiny bit less bleak than it inevitably already is.
I watched the episode with my best friend and I think her shoulder took more than a few tears 😅😅 beautifully crafted, truly. I applaud them for pulling this off so, so well.
The fact that there’s something gay means I’m now gonna put my life on hold to watch this. That’s how simple I am. Also it’s post apocalyptic which is always a win.

Honestly to me this episode put Nick Offerman into a whole new class from what I'd seen him in previously. Pretty damn awesome work.

I have a massive love/hate relationship with this episode. I love everything about the construction of the episode but I hate that so much was changed for the sake of appeasing a TV audience. As far as the game was concerned; Ellie meeting Bill was part of her character development and Frank hanging himself (having been bitten after leaving Bill) was a testament to how volatile their relationship became which I always felt was a more likely outcome in that climate.
