  • See how I fixed a Parasitic draw in my 2006 Hummer h3. This kill switch is remote control and easy to use. Doubles as an anti theft switch as well. No more dead battery to deal with. Enjoy.

I had a similar 'undiscoverable' draw. i spent a hours searching until I tested the alternator. took a while but the diodes were bad and intermittently we allowing current back in the wrong direction. few amps every now and again and your battery can be dead overnight or a few days. Had two dud alternators in a row too!! I always go to the alternator after checking current at fuses now :)

the white square piece is a 1K ohm resister that prevents dammage to the alternator when you disconnect.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! OMG, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED FOR MY CAR!!!! I hope i can find it so i can purchase it and wire it to my car. I need it badly like months ago hahaha. Ive been thru like 3 or 4 batteries, a starter, 2 alternators, several battery cables, several battery cable connectors, all for the car to continue dieing eventually, sometimes oondr than later, sometimes not as fast but still never the less, dieing. I have unhooked the battery and that has been the pnly times it had not died on me, but im not trying to open and lift the hood everytime, and disconnect the battery. Plus, having to do that possibly in public is kinda embarrassing, im a blonde so im already gonna look ridiculous under my hood to everyone else that doesnt know that im mechanically inclined. Lol. Any advice about the device since its been over a year ago since installed? Is it still working? Thanks again for the video!

It was my daughters car and we actually traded it in. It worked flawlessly for the time we did have it though. I wish you the best and thank you for the comment.

Your describing exactly what's happening to me, I took the car to a couple of garages and they couldn't find the reason so I'm going to give it a try.
Many thanks for your video and time.
    Kind regards

thanks for the video. I also have a parasitic draw, curious does the battery "reset" when you disconnect? Do I need to put in radio code after I connect back the battery? Thanks!

I'm sorry Jose, we sold it. It was fine until we got rid of it though. I wouldn't hesitate to do another one. Parasitic draws are the worst. Even hard core mechanics have a hard time diagnosing them. Good luck friend.
