I have discovered that if you turn on your aux (key on Ignition off) and wait a few seconds, then attempt to start the engine, it will start normal with no problem.
The problem with this is that, in modern cars, if you disconnect the battery, you can lose a lot of things like your pre-set radio stations and diagnostic trouble codes when your engine light is on. Also, if you have a remote starter, surely you already have a FOB for that too. It can get confusing if a gun is pointing at you which one, if not both, you hand the thief. A MUCH better way to keep your car from being stolen is to wire in a hidden engine shut-off switch which simply doesn't allow the starter to get electricity from the battery when you turn the key. The battery won't disconnect from the rest of the car's computer and other electronics retains all functionality. The coolest shut-off switch I've ever seen is one wired to the horn, as that's the last thing a thief would want to hit when stealing your car.
Thank you for your input. My truck is 2021 with a keyfob. So far I have no problem. However, I do have to reprogram my FM radio settings. I don't listen to my FM radio. I use my phone mp3. Thank you for your insights.
