I really love this presenter’s enthusiasm
Great demonstration!

ROLAND WE ALL WANT BACK THE TRULY JUPITER 8!!
Maybe but you have to ask yourself would your music be any better even if you had one compared to using this? Probably not in all honesty. It would be nice seeing a remake in analog but for now this cloud hits the spot for me.
It would cost $15,140 at the same price adjusted for inflation.
I have the JP08..it's fantastic..99% like the original.
JP8 hardware is ahead of anything Roland has created up until now.
@Perisho No but I have a real Juno 60, JX8P and Alpha and other early 80s analogs and yes the Jupiter 8 obviously sounds great but its unaffordable to most people so I'm willing to use cheaper alternatives which sound excellent as ultimately the audience dont really care anyway. What I tend to do is layer an analog sub with a plugin and it gives it the punch, I have a System 8 and thats good enough for me. Not only that but I think some of the newer analg synths coming out sound just as good if not better than the Jupiter 8 for most sounds.
The real Pad sounds I was looking x my great DH..I'd go x it right now.
150 bucks for each Synth, even if I buyed the X/XM, Roland are you nuts?
I wasn't aware you can actually buy the synths. I thought you can only rent them. Apart of that: In terms of sound those synths are so much better than many other VSTis! Great job Roland.
Most of them are in the X/Xm already.
If you have a Jupiter X they are built in. Or if you have a system 8 you get most of the legendary synths. They are pricey but they are better than most vsts I've used for that Roland sound. I rent and normally would hate paying a sub but it's worth the price even for the ultimate as you get everything.
@@xp50player but does Zenology pro does have them too or is it just another library?

Great Model - I would like to see this and all other models also available for the Fantom Zencore HW-Plattform (?!)
Love you Roland ❤️😍
Hope Roland creates a Zenology based editor for the MC 707 / 101, companies like Novation already have this
Ready to buy...! :-) But rent..? No thank you... :-(
You can buy it, but it's too expensive IMO ($149 for each model expansion).
@@st0rmchild Then 4 cost about $ 600 ! Then i buy Korg minilogue xd or a behringer...! :-)
whats tthe matter with 20 bucks a month? I mean you get lots of synth for the bucket ;)
It's worth the cost believe me I have the MC707 but find myself using cloud far more as its so convenient and sounds great. I've used tons of vsts but have stopped using most since getting cloud as I was only really into 80s and Roland synths to begin with so this is ideal for me. I also have a system 8 and the two combined are jaw dropping. Plus another bonus is you get all the patches thrown in so tons of new sounds.
@@maccagrabme i love Roland cloud but the cost
iPad version please ! iPads are now as powerful as computers. Turning it on as quickly as a real synth would be the best thing.
Just buy the iOS zenbeats daw and I think this is an expansion you can buy on iPads.
@@spot1119 unfortunately on Zenbeats, ZC1 just plays presets for now with some basic Filter/ADSR editing. There are no model expansions available on mobile. But I guess that will be coming in the future. I hope it will be in the form of independent AuV3 apps though.
@@jayneural ahhhhh. I stand corrected. They’re presets for the Z1 or whatever. I don’t use zenbeats much and only own an mc101 which I’m not that fond of. Has some vintage synths and sounds tho. Basically only use it for a sound module for my MPC Live. So I stand corrected. I was under the assumption that when you buy that Jupiter idk expansion, that it was the instrument. Not just some presets for another soft synth. Hmmmm. Idk. I was thinking about getting a Verselab cuz I really do love Roland and what they’re trying to do. They just seem behind in the game and when they do make an upgrade or new product lately has been disappointing.
@@jayneural would be cool if they made em auv3 or even audiobus but they’ve been saying for over a year they’re bringing that to zenbeats so you can use it in AUM and all but here we are. Still waiting. That’s why I went with Akai rather than Roland for my hardware rig. I hate sitting in front of computers all day making music. I like to be able to hit pads, program sequences, shit like that. While Roland has plenty plenty of those, they’re way behind Akai I’m my opinion.
IMHO Zenbeats has a really poor convoluted ui.
The really confusing thing is the "Legendary" version of the Jupiter 8 AU plugin is different from the Zenology version of the Jupiter 8 plugin (and better according to Roland support) and BOTH are in the Roland Cloud
Great thing.
is there also access to the Arp section ?
Thx
What I am missing in the ZENOLOGY models is an arpeggiator. Is this planned for future updates or can you create it yourself later in ZENOLOGY - Pro? And I find the sound browser in the instruments very unfortunate.
Whenever I want to use the DAW, I have to close the browser first, which I find very cumbersome.
An internal browser like in the KORG - Triton VSTi would be better.
Are ALL of the presets in this JP8 Model Expansion product completely different from the default factory presets in the physical Jupiter X synth, please?
Anyone know what the difference between the model expansion and vst are?
Im actually a huge fan of rolands new concept of the cloud and zenology, keep up the good work roland. Im already excited for Zenology Pro.
The best thing about roland cloud is that I am not bound to the studio, I have all the classic synth's with me on my laptop :)
Totally agree, also telling because I'm a big fan of Roland sounds..Great job with Zenology.
Agree, dont use my other plugins much since getting the cloud and I am thinking of offloading some Roland hardware because the vsts sound better.
Where's the arpeggio ?
please enable the editor working with the browser opened at the same time
Will the Model Expansions be made compatible with MC-101 and MC-707 hardware? I would like to be able to upload patches made with the Model Expansions into the hardware of the MC's. I need to know if this will be possible in the near future so I can decide if it will be worth my while to acquire these expansions.
❤️❤️ this
We appreciate you ❤️!
How I can use it with mc-707 ?
Can the Zenology Lite load the Sound Expansions vis Lifetime Key? I have Lite, purchased the Lifetime Key for Studio Sounds, and it won’t download right, almost like it can’t find where the Zenology program is. It’s supposed to automatically download the sounds to the correct location.
Will Zenology work with with Roland VST soft synths? ...or is it soley for the hardware versions... 🙏😊
The modulation routing/amounts are VERY confusing.. hard to tell what is going where.
Seems to need to be more like the original.. even if losing the dubious benefit of touch interfacing - where you put your finger over the parameter and have to guess the amount!
If this uses zencore, how is it capable of using cross mod and sync at the same time? The zencore structure allows you to use only one structure (ring, sync, xmod, etc) for each osc pair (1&2 and 3&4 respectively). I was thinking osc 2 was actually osc 3( using structure 3-4) but in the synth signal flow on upper right, it shows both sync and xmod modulating osc 2. Hmmm
How does this compare to the arturia one?
Can this be used/installed on a new Roland Fantom?
Has anyone managed to export or import patches between Jupiter X(m) and Zenology? Export Zenology it’s possible, but NOT the modeling patches of the Jupiter...
Is it a bad joke?
1.500€ when i purchased my Jupiter Xm and i need rent a editor on pc? What are you doing Roland? 😤😤😤
I own an Jup Xm.....all I want is to be able to program sounds using Zenology software and save them into my Xm.......I’ve already got the Jupiter 8 in my Xm, what do I need to buy from the Cloud to be able to do this? A years subscription? Then buy a Jupiter 8 Model.....? Will I then have the use of the software programmer for the J8 for life”?..... Will it disappear after my subscription runs out if I don’t buy the J8 Model?
What if I want to program the JX8p in my Xm....will I be able to do that once the ‘“license ‘ runs out after a year? Or do I have to buy that Model as well....although I already have it in hardware inside my Xm?
VV confused.
Can I open this inside my fantom 6?
Can you use the Fantom 8 for this?
Will this be available for the iPad version?
Looking forward to Zenology Pro!
Sounds good. Any chance of a JD800/JP8000/Jupiter6/4, Apha Juno/TR707, TR8, U220/D110/D70/V Synth in cloud or boutique?
Jupiter 6 would be insane, I just love the filter. Also a 606 would be nice
U220! Are you kidding?
Does this expansion work with the MC101?

Sorry but I don’t understand your product line at all. If I buy the Jupiter Xm, it’s mentioned it has Jupiter and Juno expansions. Why would I BUY this one for my Jupiter Xm? Only to have deep editing? And is it not a Jupiter 8 into Zenology pro??! I’m totally confused.

03:03 Even the roland promo guy doing the video has no clue ..Jeez
Osc 2 is synced to osc 1 , and not the other way around as said in the video
03:33 And again major fail ..it's not syncing osc 1 , it's syncing osc 2
Osc 1 is sync master , and osc 2 is the synced slave which provides the typical sync sound , because it's period is restarted ( determined by osc 1 pitch )
well i think this sounds decent, ACB version be damned. what i wouldn't mind is non-renting options for these plugins, i know you can buy (though you still need to authenticate online) the ACB versions but those are very CPU intensive.
Thank you Roland! You're amazing.
Are there plans to add TR-707 drum machine to the cloud?
We have many plans for Roland Cloud, thanks for suggesting the TR-707!
RolandChannel
Make it a TR-8S, it deserves to be considered as one of the classics already. Would be a powerhouse of a VST :) Like... you don’t need any other...
@@rolandglobal JP8000 while you're at it please Roland! :)
Why doesn’t Roland do
Similar for the drum modules
ecovention they actually do, but only for the 808 ans not yet through Zenology. What would be nice : a virtual TR-8S !
I think this will all come in the future.
Martin Mole probably they want to make it right. Suitable to touch screens.
Martin Mole probably they want to make it right. Suitable to touch screens.
That would be nice if the fantom had this vst built in it.

We must own good & quality instruments. Today roland offers to rent (and never own) parody vst's! SHAME!
I keep the originals and happy with that!
All of the stuff in Roland Cloud can be bought individually and used without a subscription (you need a Roland Cloud account, but it does not have to be a paid account). Unfortunately the prices are too high.
Well this is for those not as lucky as you.
Quit whining, Roland don't owe you anything.
@@muaddib667, roland owe us reputation!....
@@XPJV well they don't and I think cloud and zenology are great for people with in the box setups.
If it's not for you, go buy a hardware synth.
Jupiter 8 is only £12,000
These are not actually "expansions". They are contractions. These "expansions" that people pay US$149 for are actually code that filter all the stuff in Zen Core that is not required to emulate the Jupiter, Juno etc. coupled with a skin placed on top to look like you are operating something akin to a Jupiter, Juno etc. Quite frankly, I think what Roland have done with Zen Core makes sense: make a big synth engine and derive whatever sub-sets of synths you want from it, like Jupiter, Juno etc. But to call those sub-sets "expansions" is BS and to charge $149 for something that simply filters the unwanted stuff from Zen Core to provide only what is required to run Jupiter, Juno etc. is cynical to say the least. To charge $49 would be reasonable but to charge $149 for such a thing is ridiculous.
Renting or subscription services or maybe buy but it's overpriced?
I find the whole Roland thing frustrating and slightly confusing n so just avoid it like the plague.... such a shame. Why not just sell your individual plugins at decent price.... oh well. I'll continue to use everyone else's plugins i guess.
Great stuff but I'm never the owner of anything here. If I have the real thing, one can sell a keyboard or a drum machine but you can't get your 4 grand back after 20 years of subscription in Roland Cloud.
It's late
Roland is lost in digital emulations, and they have lost their capabilities to create astonishing true analog machines. They were leader. They are just another software company now. Even the System 500, rebirth in 2015 of the famous System 100m, was made by Malekko heavy Industry and just assembled in japan. When the last old engineer who know what is a transistor will retire, Roland will be just an empty shell of memories...I'm sad...
It's a sad, sad situation
And it's getting more and more absurd
It's sad, so sad (so sad)
Why can't we talk it over?
Oh it seems to me
That sorry seems to be the hardest word.
E.J.
I really wonder who will buy this since the cloud acb version is far more superior , and this goes for all acb versions versus zencore
It's just another cheap way to cash in , Roland should be called the recycling company
Roland recycling since the 90's :)
Less cpu and lots of presets
@@maccagee693
Who cares about presets ?
@@WARDISWARD I do.
@@zxbryc
Dude , if you can't hear that acb is superior then that's your problem
Zen core's only advantage is polyphony , I have a feelig you don't even know what acb is and just try to justify the cost of your expensive jup x
I am not saying it sounds bad , but it certainly does not reach the quality levels of acb
Remake the original analogue Jupiter 8. You couldn’t keep them in stock. People are clamoring to get their hands on the real hardware not digital emulations
It wouldn't be much cheaper than the original ones.
You got 5-10 grand spare?
Moog one seems to be the current equivalent analogue synth and they ain't cheap.
Too much talk
