Pixel 7 Pro overall was the best, with the 6 Pro being better in a few comparisons while the 8 Pro was the weakest. I had the 6 Pro and it's cameras were amazing. However, I sold it recently due to the terrible reception issues it had. I'm replacing it with the 7 Pro since it has an updated modem.

I have the 6 pro and noticed the 8 pro takes better pics, especially low light. also operates smoother and probably has better battery life. nothing big there but the AI functions are impressive . the reason most people get a pixel I assume,. spam call filtering is great on the 8 and so is live dictation of phone calls. it can also read text aloud from any text or page. its like audible books whenever you want. emergency crash detection and 911 call is new but not something u will ever need hopefully. also some added editing tricks that can be handled on the phone can clean up pics . like best shot . nothing major. overall I am happy with the 6 pro . don't see much difference and not sure why anyone feels the need to update the phone every year or two. . the improvements are mostly marketing just to convince people to spend more money on a new phone .
You are probably mostly right but there are some improvements especially when it comes to video at night especially front facing camera. Not too much from the 7 Pro but definitely from the 6 Pro if night time video is important to you. Thanks for watching the video. Stay safe.

I own a Pixel 6 pro. Nothing I have seen would get me to upgrade. Yes, the 7 and 8 are nice but to me it is absolutely nominal.

I'm still wondering i want to switch from poco x3 pro to much better camera smartphone until this day i considered new flagships like vivo x100 ultra, s24 ultra, xioami 14 ultra (misty cameras so i stopped considering it xd) and pixel 6 pro now costs 450$ and i saw i can buy it new for this price from the store and i started to consider pixels (6/7/8 pro especially 6 and 7 pro for lower price) as alternatives for much more expensives flagships, what do You think?
i care especially about zoom (x30 vs x20 and x5 vs x4 optical x100 would be nice like in samsung but considering price difference i would have to think about it is it worth and would i use it a lot) nightmode video and photos and zoom in video, that x5 looked better in pixel 8 imo but i'm not sure and i don't care as much about performance i will not use all that power i could have in s24 ultra for example
The differences are so negligible. i'd like to see the video boost feature and how that changes things but IMO, photo quality difference is so minimal between generations of pixels because of how good googles post processing is. I don't shoot video enough but to me, it still doesn't look as good as say iphones or galaxy ultra video quality, which is a shame considering the price these things are selling for.

Great comparison, as always! Unfortunately, the pixel 8 pro's front camera is way too dark and not saturated enough for my liking. That's why I sent mine back and stuck to my pixel 6a. It's crazy how I prefer a phone worth three times less.

Excellent review on these 3 pixels. Wondering how they stacks against each other. The 6 pro lags but only a little from the pack, but will be more attractive because its the cheapest. Personally i'll get the 7 pro. It performs almost identical with the 8 pro.

There's an improvement, but at this point, Aug 2024, is it worth paying twice the price for the 7 pro, and 3 x the price for the 8 pro?
Other components of the phones are to be taken in consideration, but I believe depending on your budget, they're all great phones.

@catnesscuteness Yes, I know. The problem is that those phones seem to be great but they are very expensive and then very difficult to sell here in the UK. I don't want to get in debt because of those phones like I know other RUclipsrs with small channels are. RUclips doesn't pay that much and I don't live off it either for now. I upgrade Pixel every year. Now I'm using Pixel 8 Pro. I love it. Can notice upgrade quality for photos, videos, heat management, display & battery life. The 1 thing i really hope that Google allow us to use telephoto lens for portrait mode

I feel like overall the 7 pro has more natural colour but the pixel 8 pro has better focus and sharpness of the whole image whilst the other blur more. Pixel 6 pro does a fantastic job of holding up the current gens though, personally there is no need to upgrade if you have a 6 pro.

The 8 is the best, 7 like the 6 had focusing issues from time to time and didn't handle bright backgrounds aswell as the 8. You can see there had been small improvement in the ISP.

Great video Alexi. All were great until the 6 Pro couldn't handle the bright scene with the selfie cam. also the 8 Pro has some restrictions like no 2x in some modes, similar to what Samsung did. Overall they are evenly matched. The only reason why you upgrade is if the older phones do not perform well in other areas. But I am a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra user, so leave that to anyone interested in Pixel.

that's impossible to access accurately because they all had different charging levels and even if they were all at 100%, they have different periods of usage being the Pixel 6 Pro the oldest and the 8 Pro the newest so less used.

hmmm.. 6 pro selfie day time videos look better than 8 pro. Photo scenarios are similar but sometimes 7 pro and 6 pro look better (castle with blue sky). At night selfie video pixel 6 pro is struggling and this is expected.
Looks like there are very few reasons to upgrade unless you want to measure a temperature of a baby food or whatever.

In my opinion there is no difference as abysmal as I expected from 6 to 8, the only thing is the resolution, a minimal improvement in sharpness but almost the same

Always by the new phones. Or a used version of the new phone.. Save your money and get 8pro. You will not regret it. Next year the 6 only has one year off updates left. Your security and protecting your private matters on your phone should be important. Again in my opinion, don't buy an old phone

Well looks like the only category the P8P wins by a big lead is selfie video. Everything else looks so similar its not really a call to upgrade if you only want the google camera processing.

And 7 years of updates and the pro features for the cameras. It's actually better than both the 7 and 6 in a lot of ways.. And you also can't see either of those screens in the sunlight without running into the shade. The 8 pro is much better than the other two.. Actually make that Eye think about it.. the 7 and 6 pro are embarrassing at how you can't use them outside in the sun.

@@Soto-Tech2020 по характеристикам сенсора основной камеры, 7 про лучше. Но по факту, я не вижу разницы в пользу 7 про. Фронтальная камера лучше на 7 про. Дело вкуса, наверно. Мне кажется, что Пиксель 6 про чуть детальнее по основной камере в большинстве случаев, даже в лоулайт.
Это мое мнение и только мое скромное мнение. Спасибо, хороший обзор. Если вы будете выкладывать в облако оригиналы фотографий, это будет супер.
