    I made a slot on the tip of the needle-nose pliers so that the fuse from the cv joint does not fall out.

      @@alfaromeonoproblemHello with eibach springs, do you need to install a different type of swing arm? Alfa Romeo 159 (wheels tilt inwards in the first landing gear)

      Hello. Is very similar. But I have videos for those if you need. Down on the description a playlist for suspension

    Great video as always. I am curious on what torque is your gun set since you are tightening the ball joints? Also, is it necessary to do a alignment after that kind of job and why? Example, I changed upper wishbones on my Alfa 159, but I did it in a way where I removed the shock absorber to get easy access to the bolts holding upper wishbone, also I removed sway bar link. So is an alignment a must or does not need it? I know when you change tie rods that an alignment must be done. Can you please write when you must do an alignment? Thank you!

      @DashCamSerbia 4 месяца назад +3

      You can see that there is play on the holes for the three bolts for the shock absorber mount at the top. Just because of that, it needs aligement. About the rest, not sure.
      You shoud use torque wrench for all fasteners on the susspension. The upper arm needs to be at the normal ride height level when torqing.

      @cHabYYY 4 месяца назад +2

      @@DashCamSerbia Haven't really paid attention on those 3 bolts at the top mount, thanks for letting me know about that. However, that has a really small play in it and I never seen a alignment guy undoing top mount nuts. I use torque wrench on almost all of my bolts when I am doing something on the car, but I am asking just out of curiosity what was his gun set up to because I do not see in video that he is using a torque wrench. I understand that he has a lot of experience and torque wrench is not needed for him (except for some jobs on the engine where it is a must). I am familiar about the tightening the bushings while they are in the ride height, that is also how I do it.

      Hello. On ball joints I do by feel. Whenever you replace any suspension components you must do an alignment. On the case that the shock absorber is not part of the control arms, like this one, no need for alignment, unless the ride hight changes

    • @DashCamSerbia
      @DashCamSerbia 4 месяца назад +2

      @@alfaromeonoproblem But the upper arm is connected to the shock mount, so I think it changes the aligement.

    Hmm. That lower arm is painted black. Do they make steel ones too? I would want mine to be aluminium.

    • @alfaromeonoproblem
      @alfaromeonoproblem  4 месяца назад +3

      Hello. Lower ones on these and 156 are always steel painted. Only the top ones are alloy.

    Boot light stoped working on my 159 saloon. It turns on just before the boot opens almost all the way, but then turns off when I open it all the way. Do you remember which color wire is for that light?

    Hi master:) How big the air compressor has to be ( I mean psi and liters of oxigen tank) in order to work those neumatic tools? I have some of them (very very old ones) and I want to put them back to work (weekend jobs:)

      Hello 100L on the compressor and at least 6 bar, I have 10.
      The hoses have to have at least 10mm on the inside and the gun should be professional

    I did exactly this on both sides. Replaced shocks and springs as well. Now the left front is 2.5 cm higher than the left and we can't figure out why 😢 Even measured with both front wheels in the air the distance from center wheel to wheel arch is 2.5cm longer than the left. Please help anyone 😅😢
