A man after my own heart. It doesn’t matter the cars age a professional with a passion for automotive engineering will always bring it back to life. It deserves it, you’ve a great workshop and I e learnt a few tricks from this video, the piston removal on the rear drum and the application of heat to the faded bumpers. ❤ very nice work indeed
My folks bought a new red 16v 33 in 1990 when they came out. Not a bad car but a great engine in search of a better chassis. The best all rounder was the 1.5ie on 165 tyres, not as fast of course but a much nicer car to drive and more like the old Sud in character.
The video ends here because unfortunately I don’t have an indoor space to restore it, and it would take too much time to carry on with the restoration and complete the video
@@Ego.Reficio aha. And what about the indoor space where the 33 was standing in, next to the old car? So, actually you need to build or rent an indoor space. But keep the car because you might have some indoor space once. I have space for many cars. Once I went with my 33 from the Netherlands to Venezia, then to Pisa over the Appenijnen mountains, and via non Autostrada but via the road SS1 al the way to St. Tropez.
you deserve so many views and subs, the video besides some audio parts is on top of the genre in my opinion, who knows if someone after seeing this car might choose to save it
Thank you for the compliments and the good wishes! Unfortunately, towards the end of the recordings, the microphone started having issues, and I noticed it too late
You had to put a little oil into the combustion chamber through the spark plugs and move the wheel manually so that the wall of the combustion chambers would not be damaged.
Thank you for doing an Alfa 33, underrated car in its day, it was my 1st car so I maybe bias, I’m obsessed with finding and buying a U.K. spec right hand car again but unfortunately lack the talent to properly restore one and our climate is a killer of them, will watch out for your future projects, what though has happened to this car since?
What happened to your 33? Did you sell it? I don't know the full story of this Alfa because it’s not mine. I only know that it was used until the early 2000s, then parked near a coastal area. From there, time and the salt air did the rest
@@Ego.Reficio The rain and salt literally dissolved the car, eventually it was used as spare for other Alfa 33 projects by people, there are only 2 left on British roads that I can see now, if I can find a U.K. car I think I will eventually go to Italy, Spain or Portugal to get a left hand drive car to restore, people’s opinion of the 33 in Britain seems to be not good due to the rust issue and people believing it’s not a real Alfa.
I understand. It’s a shame about yours. Don’t pay attention to what people say; if you like that car and have memories associated with it, like it being your first car, buy it! Sooner or later, one with right-hand drive will come up for sale
Love how you pried out the wire connector clip, and broke it instead of squeezing it (you're supposed to press the metal clip IN to remove it...) lol...
Another user told me the same thing; I didn’t know you had to press it. By making the mistake, I learned something new! The connector didn’t break; it was just the metal clip that came loose. Once removed, the clip flew away, and I never found it again, haha

Thank you! There's not much to be done about the rust; the car is very compromised and needs entire panels replaced. You're right about the engine bay, but it's more important to protect the ECU and its connectors than the alternator. It's not as sensitive to water as one might think
very great good engineer. I wish I could take the whole car apart and bring it back to 90% original like new! I will do that in the next clip. I will follow you.
Unfortunately, I can't do it because I don't have an indoor space to carry out a full restoration, and at the moment, making such a video would take too much time.

Nice seeing one that’s not turned into red dust. Granted, it needs some rust repair, but up here in the Nordic countries, these otherwise great cars rusted away in a few years.
For this car, the problem was the proximity to the sea, so the saltiness. In Nordic countries, the main issue is the salt on the roads that causes them to rust
True about the salty roads. The real problem though, was the absolute absence of rust prevention from the factory. Many of them had beginning rust issues allready at the dealership.

Old, The Alfa 164, Looks superb. Great Big job there in the Video, Hats off N Respects🇸🇯🐺
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and that you noticed and appreciated the Vespa part. From the way you described the moment you watched the video, I imagined a true moment of relaxation just for yourself. I have to admit, I envied you! As for the Alfas, those from the 90s were a bit problematic, but it must be said that they still retained their originality with their design and driving fun
Thank you!
I enjoyed both of these videos having had two 33's in the early to mid 90's. Would be great to hear about the plan for this car? Cheers.
I'm glad you enjoyed both parts of the video! The car isn’t mine; I don’t know what the owner will do with it. I just hope he’ll at least put it in a covered space!
This is exactly the content I want. Grazie
Mi ha perso all'inizio..
@Ego.Reficio la venderesti?
You must have the patience of a saint, the car looked in fairly bad condition, the rust bug had a good hold but you hung in there!
Thank you! 😂
Thank you for a very satisfying video. Specially when oiling the oil filter seal or wiping the AR badge! 😂
Thabk you! ❤️
Alfa 33 … my first love 😍😍😍😍
❤️
Thank you!
Thank you! ❤️😂
you deserve so many views and subs, the video besides some audio parts is on top of the genre in my opinion, who knows if someone after seeing this car might choose to save it
Thank you for the compliments and the good wishes! Unfortunately, towards the end of the recordings, the microphone started having issues, and I noticed it too late
C’mon ALFA🍀🤍💔
Nice armygreen Squadra Corse overalls too😎🔝
You had to put a little oil into the combustion chamber through the spark plugs and move the wheel manually so that the wall of the combustion chambers would not be damaged.
I used some WD-40, not sure if you saw it in the video
@@Ego.Reficio I hadn't noticed that. Your work is incredible Good luck to you my brother.🙌
What a great car this is
LMAO this car was a disaster!
@@captainjim1010 Indeed it was. Still good to see someone restoring it though. That car electronics were A PAIN IN THE ARSE!
Most satisfying to see an almost ruined car being brought back to life in a thoroughly pro.way.👍
Thank you!
Que carrinho legal adoro esses vídeos de resgate saudações do Brasil 👏🤜🤛
Thank you! 👏

Doesn't he hear the fuel pump cannot initially deliver enough fuel or build up pressure......,?
Yes, the fuel pump was very noisy, but it was able to provide the right pressure for starting and during the road test
Esa ranger merece la pena! Muy buen video
Solo 3 cylindri?
Great work, I hope the car will be driven from now on!
The car isn’t mine. I just hope the owner puts it under cover 😉
Menuda limpieza y mecánica, a full 😱😱
I Owen a buttermilk coloured 33 1.5 ti it went like stink but had a bad habit of leaking oil from the front camshaft seal had ti's replaced twice in five years sold it to a lad who then promptly crash it and wrote it off such a shame .it was a fast car and my wife learned to drive in it 😊😊
You did a great job with this. Are you going to fix the rust issues and such also? Greetings from 🇳🇴
Thank you, but for now, this is where the video ends. Unfortunately, I don't have an indoor space to restore it and repair the rusty parts.
Al fin la parte 2 !!!
25:35 bro, you killed me with the tape 😂 I respect it though
😂
How good are glass headlights
Ottimo lavoro, amico.
It improves the cabin ventilation 😂
Thanks for subscribing! I can’t say for sure since the car isn’t mine, but I hope the owner won’t leave it exposed to the elements😅
Thank you! There's not much to be done about the rust; the car is very compromised and needs entire panels replaced. You're right about the engine bay, but it's more important to protect the ECU and its connectors than the alternator. It's not as sensitive to water as one might think
Great video! Are there any plans for it?
Thank you! The car isn’t mine; I don’t know what the owner will do with it. I hope at least he will put it in a covered space
Good work. I Hope we will See more from You
Thank you! ❤️
Marvelous job. Keep up 👍🏻
Thank you!
I just love these kind of vids
Thank you!
very great good engineer. I wish I could take the whole car apart and bring it back to 90% original like new! I will do that in the next clip. I will follow you.
Unfortunately, I can't do it because I don't have an indoor space to carry out a full restoration, and at the moment, making such a video would take too much time.
Long life man!
You are lucky with this wonderful amazing Alfa Romeo am so gales because s m am an lancia Fiat Alfa Romeo man I love these cars they are the best ever 👍👍👍👍 and sports car God bless you man 🙏🙏🙏 keep contenw doing what you doing ❤️💖 l IHOP I see more votes like this one take care of yourself and drive safe God bless you and be with you all the time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏❤️🙏🙏🙏

What happens at 24:29?
Whats the plan for it now ? Will you sell it ? How much ?
I don’t know, it’s not mine. I was only allowed to make this video
Thank you! Thank you for watching the video!
Ne ho avuta una identica... Che nostalgia. Grazie e ciao! 👌👌👌👍👍👍💪💪💪💪
That car looks the Titanic man. Basically everything is just rusted.
20 years under the rain...
Q8 oil??
Perfect! Little spot on the rear hatch but that’ll buff out
😂😂
No hay nada como un Alfa Romeo!!!
Looking forward to more older Italian cars on this channel :)
I already have an almost fully shot video of a Campagnola. But first, I need to finish the second part of the bike engine 😉
