You could buy some of the Shea Moisture Conditioning Beard Oil...and then mix some drops of the oils with the balm in your hand. It might help to "loosen up" or make the balm not so stiff. If that doesn't help, my next advice would be to buy the Honest Amish Beard Balm and use that instead of the Shea Moisture Beard Balm. They sell the Honest Amish Beard Balm at Walmart.

No its not super fragrant but you can tell something is there.

Sometimes you gotta shop around for some good beard products. You'll be surprised what you may find in unusual stores.
