- Welcome to Fashion &… Exhibitions where I’ll be visiting and reviewing Fashion exhibitions across the UK and Europe.
Our second review is Thierry Mugler: Couturissime, Curated by Thierry-Maxine Loriot for The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with Maison Mugler.
Adapted for the Musée des Arts decorative by Curators Marie-Sophie Carron de la Carrière and Eric Pajalet-Plaà, the exhibition was arranged into 9 immersive sections, each one the result of a unique collaboration with a select group of talented designers, artists and set designers.
This exhibition is a tour de force which succeeds in showcasing Thierry Mugler as one of the most influential designers in the world, drawing inspiration from everything he saw, touched and smelt.
This immersive exhibition stimulates all these senses alongside celebrating Mugler’s life and body of work, creating a bold fashion exhibition that exemplifies the couturier’s talent in producing fashion that, to this day, continues to resonate.

Beautiful! I was able to see a few Mugler pieces in the Catholic Fashion exhibit at the Met a few years ago. He was a true master, and Angel was my favorite fragrance for ages!
I saw that exhibition too at the Met! Amazing! And also, when I was younger, A*Men was one of my favourites! Glad you enjoyed! 💙
