- DJI updated the DJI Go 4 app for iPhone to v4.1.4. In this update is one of the most important updates I've been requesting. They now have a setting that allows you to control the speed of the gimbal movement. I've been complaining for quite some time about it being too fast and me being too fat fingered to control it smoothly. DJI listened and updated it!

Great video. Just getting to grips with my new Spark. Lesson 1, don't be tempted to fly in high winds, almost lost it. Lesson 2, from your video, now I know why my gimbal doesn't move!
Keep them working, within reason! My son is on restricted Xbox iPhone use and the gaming pc is firmly on hold! Coming downstairs for food can even be seen as a chore!!
Awesome review on the updates..there is more to come updates from Dji The same as the Mavic pro when it first came out...The Dji improved The camera settings not only that the added the fixed wing feature..with the spark definitely DJi it's going to improve the Active tracking speed also...they're going to have more updates surprises from Dji..

The 180 panorama camera mode is great as well. Great for capturing sunsets and skylines. And finally a video gesture!
Kloo Gee it's pretty awesome. Just hit the camera button and it does the rest. It takes photos and turns all by itself. I'm hoping for a 360 photo option to come along!

Thank you for this video! Very helpful. I had no idea the stick speed affected the drones max mph speed. I noticed mine wasn't hitting the advertised speeds, but I figured it had something to do with the wind. Thanks s again, very informative.

Wow..what a great updates from DJI for iphone,gimbal pitch speed,hover speed and hand gesture recording- i think this is one of important features that every spark owners waiting for ..great review Kloo Gee but what about Android phones app?

Gain may be one way to accomplish what you need (smaller stick movements = smaller changes in flight direction)

They need to add Expo settings just like the Mavic does. That is what your asking for. You move the stick a little then it is slow but full movement of the stick is still there.

Waiting for my combo to arrive. Looks like some great improvements. What can be adjusted when using the custom setting for the sticks? You might be able to speed up one stick and slow down the other ... only guessing. Does it remember the adjustments or do you have to reset each time you turn on the controller. Have you tried the voice controls in the gesture mode?

Would also be interested to see the same video a month later. To find out what setting you set the gimbal/stick speeds on for day to day flying.
Currently I have my stick speed set to the lowest available and my gimbal on '8' as better/smoother footage is more important than to me than speed.

Good Info. I was not liking the default gimble speed.
I'm new and started with the controller then I tried just the phone. I found controlling the gimbal by just tilting my phone super easy and natural. Isn't there a way to use the phone tilt with the controller?

what type of phone are you using for the new update? My update has everything except the gimbal speed, customer support says they "think" it is disabled on android???? he thinks??? wtf
customer support is dumb, my phone is on the list of good devices
I thought the RC settings for responsiveness were related to the other RC response speeds? But I haven't played with that. The gimbal settings are fine for me (haven't updated yet) and it's fine for me, I've got the controller settings on slow as I'm a beginner and have everything set on slow.
Hi there, do you know if it is normal for the DJI spark´s gimbal to shake and provoke a non stable image when a lateral movement is done? I´m trying to figure out if that´s normal or if it is a problem with the settings. Thanks a lot for all your videos, they are very helpful!

There is a new firmware update for the controller too, that fix the occasional disconnection from the Spark and all other issues. Version 01.00.0300
The Gimbal Pitch speed is not available in the latest version of the DJI GO 4 app.. :(
Nice informative video. What kind/brand of cable connects the RC to Phn? I use a OTG that works, but some shorter micro to micro usb OTG cables do not function.
I think Dji it's also going to add fixed wing mode on the spark...
Kloo Gee that is stupid update then, mine always got disconnected before, I don't know because im using a Samsung Galaxy S8+. I haven't try to fly with both unit and RC update, and all I heard are issues.

I have upgraded the firmware on the remote, the drone, and upgraded my DJI 4 app, and that setting is not there. So bummed
Kloo Gee I actually had to delete and reinstall the app on iOS, (iphone 7) the app store said no update, and app said it had latest version, but i could see it was .3 - odd thing is, the gimbal speed was there after reinstall, but not the drone speed under remote controls. Seems versions vary. Are you on Android?
would love to see the spark add DNG for the still images
Just got this drone love it but I just noticed my gible is a little off like my camera is not lined up and leans to the left a little, I tried tried adjusting the gimble so the camera would be nice and even but it tends to keep leaning a little, should I return my spark I still have 6 days to return it HELP ANYONE
on my spark, everytime I take a photo shot.it comes out blurred, what is the perfect camera setting to take photos?

I have been watching you spark videos, I just go a new Spark got the deluxe one, I can run it in the house and its pretty much ok, but when I am out side, I loose my camera control after it flys off a bit, maybe 50yrds, the phone I use is a Verizion galaxy 7s android, I have only had the spark about 30 days or less any Ideas that can help me, thanks Mike Caldwell, Jackson, Michigan
Remote controller, I called dji but was on hold for 20+ min, I have not tried to control it direct, I can't see the screen that well, "lots of sun", I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, I am going to fly it this afternoon and ty it again
