    Thank you for this tutorial. I could not figure out why my video was so terrible. Now I will apply what Ive learned on my next flight to see if my video footage looks smoother and not so grainy.

    Refreshing to see the “Fading” effect to your intro. So many vloggers choose the hard cut to their transitions.
    Loved your instructional presentation. Great tips!
    Thx for sharing

      Thanks....I just started using the 'fade' transition and it just looks so much cleaner.

      RGMG : Totally agree, RG. More professional. But the very fact that you noticed that it needed something says a lot about your artistic cinematic eye. The “hard cut” still has it’s application. Bravo!

    Being a photographer this is very important for sure, new to droneing I'm getting my flying down better all the time, like you now it's time to start learning how to be smooth and better shots, myself it's a dicipline to learn turn horizontal so very slowly I wish we could adjust this stick speed in remote, you need to breath on it,
    But yes great tips and video keep it up always learning from you!!
    What's your first name? You never say

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  6 лет назад

      Thanks....Yeah, constantly trying to learn how to get the most out of my footage. I didn't say it in the video but the SPARK takes great video in Auto. Its' just there is so much more it can do if you want to go down that road. Plus the camera information actually carries over into other product lines as well. So, figured I may as well start leaning it. Thanks for the support....

      Robert Taylor: I totally agree with you Robert. I too wish DJI would implement a way of controlling the sensitivity in the RC’s sticks. It would greatly add to the pilots control of the aircraft, where he can focus on the fun of drone flying and less on the mechanics. Maybe some future firmware update. You’re right, simply blowing on it would move it..lol

      MannyCAM yep had to learn side movements slowly you have gimble control , stick control would be a great addition

      If you put the Spark in Tripod mode... it'll slow down the movements. :)

    As always! Room for improvement... thanks for the tips! I'd love to see a video on changing from rc controller to phone controller and back. It seems.... cumbersome... difficult.. there must be an easier way Steve.

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  6 лет назад +1

      I'll be honest. I never fly without the Remote Controller. To much room for error trying to fly with just the phone. Plus no Sports Mode without the RC and I really like Sports Mode...can't imaging flying without it.

    • @str8channel
      @str8channel 6 лет назад

      Yes..i noticed that ang's a few other things yesterday during my first "phone" flight. Very limited range... no sports mode... but thoroughly enjoyed the immersive interaction with the gimble and the phone. Hooking them up back and forth... nothing short of a pain ..lol.

    Hello I have the experience of my DJI spark and it was my experience good but the quality and photographing the videos and Photos were not enough HD and did not know the reason why?

  • @cwilsonsr7263
    @cwilsonsr7263 6 лет назад

    I had to rewind video a few times to make sure I heard that right. You said a low shutter let's more light in the said a high shutter let's more light in. Which one is it?

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  6 лет назад +1

      Regarding Shutter Speed, The faster the shutter speed, the shorter the time the image sensor is exposed to light. The slower the shutter speed, the longer the time the image sensor is exposed to light. If you are photographing a subject that is in motion, you will get different effects at different shutter speeds. A fast shutter speed is typically whatever it takes to freeze action. For example, shooting an image of a humming bird, or sports related pictures where you want to freeze an image. Then you have something called 'Aperture' but on the SPARK the aperture size is fixed (f/2.6) and can't be change. Aperture refers to the opening of a lens's diaphragm through which light passes. I think your right and could have been more clear about shutter speed. It's really about how FAST or SLOW your shutter speed is and not necessarily the amount of light. Then you also have something called IOS which is simply a camera setting that will brighten or darken a photo. It tells the camera sensor how sensitive it is to light. You always want your ISO at it's lowest setting to avoid noise in the image. Hope that helps clarify.

    the other rule is the rule of division in terms of shutter speed and frame rate.... the spark shooots at 30fps sothe shutter should be at 60 for motion blur or 120, 240 as long as it can be divided by 30...and double up gives a less choppy footage it all depends want you want.

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  6 лет назад +1

      Thanks....great point! I'm need to remember this (probably via cheat sheet). So, if i'm shooting at 30FPS, I'll want my shutter speed to be 1/60th of a second in video. With the frames per second (fps) referring to the number of individual frames that comprise each second of video being recorded. Lots to remember....

    • @MannyCAM
      @MannyCAM 6 лет назад

      AR 23 : Totally agree AR. Which takes us into the world of ND filters and their application in order be able to achieve those lower frame rates. I personally shoot with the Polar Pro series, and use the ND16. I found I can pretty much leave it on my Spark. I’ve shot in all kinds of weather and find my footage to be much less contrasty, more even if you will. I love P.P. Series.

    Does the Quality of Memory Card determines the quality of photo or video?

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  4 года назад

      No. Just make sure the card is compatible with the drone your flying. Quality of the video/photo is all about the camera itself (not the micro-sd card).

    This video seems like it's talking about an entirely different product as my dj spark doesn't look like that in the settings at all! I can't match any setting to what is shown here. Super frustrating! For instance, when I click on gimbal setting, it won't even register. And I can't even find the setting to set the remote controller button to turn the camera down from forward looking.

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  4 года назад +1

      Totally understand...when I make these videos it's based on the software/firmware available at that time. DJI keeps updating it so it's always relative to date of the video. If you have DJI drones...you'll see this happen all the time. Hope that helps understand the difference.

    in camera settings i do not have the wheel icon :-/ Why. ????

    • @RGMGFitness
      @RGMGFitness  6 лет назад

      I assume your talking about the wheel icon in upper left corner (in camera settings) as shown at 3:38 in the video. You should certainly have that icon as it's where you set your ISO and shutter speed. May have to do with the version of the DJI GO4 App your running. Make sure when you launch the DJI GO4 App that you have it set to the DJI SPARK and not some other drone (ie. Phantom, Mavic Pro, etc.). If that doesn't help I would also check out the DJI FORUM. Some great stuff in there and the guys are always willing to help out with troubleshooting.

    Enabling backwards flying is about ACTIVE TRACKING backwards and NOT about FLYING backwards with RC or phone. You are absolutely wrong. There is no way you can disable spark flying backwards. Correct your video as your info may lead people to crash their spark. It is good to leave it off as when it tracks someone and the person approaches spark, then the drone will start going back keeping the subject in frame and it will hit something in the back as it does not have back sensors.
