    thanks for the info Francis , I've always had a fascination with drones and because of budget limitation i have tried to play safe because my big purchase. I tried Holy Stone HS160 Shadow to get use to flying the wifi very inaccurate and found my self chasing after the drone before it crashed in to a garage door down the street and almost lost it a second time before returning it. I was a little scared to buy another drone but i took a gamble and got the spark. This drone has a big potential i got the drone about 3 days ago so i am still exploring on what i can and can't do with the drone . for now i bought the drone only but seeing your videos has encouraged me to think bigger , so i am going out this weekend to test the drone to see how much i can do with it .I hear a lot of people complaining that the drone is not 4k that doesn't matter to me since it still delivers great video , but i do wish they had a longer battery life time . I am sure you feel the same way once you take off you don't want to bring spark back down so soon, but ether way looking forward to posting some of what i capture till then thanks for the video .

    Hey Francis )) Great Vid awesome advice )) tell me I see you are flying nice and close to the ground that’s one of your specialties I’ve seen that, ok there is no sensor on the back of the Spark so hence you must be carful yeah ? as the Spark can hit the ground, right? I’ve just got one for my EBoard Review Channel )) tell me so when flying forward “closely to the ground” .. will the Spark stop itself from hitting the ground ... ie are you protected from that with the Soark’s front sensors? Or can you still plough it into the grass with no protection ,, lol .. you know what I’m mean, Cheers Bro Keep up the great work )) I’ve Sub’d )) Andrew Penman RUclips )(

    • @FrancisDarracott
      @FrancisDarracott  6 лет назад

      Hey dude! The sensors can have a hard time in the fog as it thinks something is always close by and the controller will take over if it thinks its in danger? But I'm not 100% sure as I have never flown in real thick fog.

    If I set home point to 2nd option, i.e. the controller, and during flight spark drops connection to controller, how does it know where controller is to come home? Is it not safer to just pick first option? Cheers ;-)

    • @FrancisDarracott
      @FrancisDarracott  6 лет назад +2

      But if you are on a boat you would want the drone to fly back to your location!
      And as long as you are in eye sight of the drone it should not lose connection to the controller :)

    • @SuperYodaDude

      Francis Darracott ok cheers! Enjoy your visit to my homeland 😎

    • @TheJeroentjj
      @TheJeroentjj 6 лет назад +1

      Francis Darracott it is true that the second option is your current location, however it's not updating live, so if you have moved it will not come back automatically. In the new app it has automatic homepoint updating for the drone in active track, as in it will set a new homepoint every 10 meters, but on the drone's current position. This is helpful if you're on a boat, but as far as I know the auto homepoint only works when tracking a person

    • @gcomfx
      @gcomfx 6 лет назад

      Definitely test the home location. Lots of videos show it returns to where your controller was when the setting was updated. One person on RUclips almost lost his drone from a boat as it tried to return to where he started his trip. Be careful out there. 👍🏻

    You made a little mistake when you talked about setting the home point to your controller, it'll set the home point to your controller at that second, if you move your location with the controller it is not going to follow the new spot where the controller is it's going to return to the previous spot you need to update your position if you move it with the radio in your hand.

    You actually made a mistake cz in the manual it says the 2nd option of homepoint sets the homepoint where your rc is at the moment and not over a while, there is another option asswel that chamges homepoint every 10 seconds for if you are moving in a car or boat.

    Hey Francis. Love your tutorials and how you take it right to the processing level. I recently finished designing a 3D print model for the Spark control. It will hold any device at the top of the controller. And the best part is, it is designed to fasten to a tripod for a stable control center. It is a great Spark accessory that I think you'd like. I'd be honored to see you using this in your tutorials.

    Do all this and have 2 or 3 minutes fight time left? lol
    And on the home points.. When using the controller home point, it does NOT follow your controller in real time. It sets the point when you press the button on the app. So if you are on a moving boat.... Well you know...
