- In this video, I remove the oem stock chrome trunk trim on a 2016 Mercedes-Benz W205 C300 Sedan and replace it with a dynamic LED trunk light bar from DMP Car Design.
This mod should work on all 2015+ W205: C300, C43, and C63 sedans.

Good tip to prevent double sided tape from re-sticking during uninstall, squeeze a few puffs of baby powder in the crack between the tape and the car to cover the adhesive. Doing so will prevent it from reattaching itself to the surface you're taking it off of.

This is best mod I ever seen . I love long third brake light on Audi A7 and this thing is similar.
there's a version built into the wing for the 2017+ Audi A4 too . I wish they had it for the 2013-2016 A4...if so, I would of slapped it on my audi.
Dude, this is beyond awesome. I don't know but i think Mercedes have something to highlight here, cuz this fit right. Even though you got Porsche and Audi similar with the long brake lights, it still seems the merc has its own thing going. Its dope.
Mercedes is putting light bars on their EV concept cars. I could see light bars being a common thing in future Mercedes cars.

clean video. good instructions and demonstration. by the way, the w205 2019-2021 have updated rear mirrors that are thinner than the 2015-2018 models. any plans for that upgrade? would love a video with that simple upgrade that makes the car look better.

I have a day job that pays me well and I do RUclips on the weekends. I make a RUclips video once and it lives on the internet forever and it keeps making me money while I sleep. If I don’t feel like making videos, I don’t need to and I’m still making money on previous videos.
If I opened up a shop, I’m basically replacing 1 job with another job (a crappier one) that requires me to rent a place, pay for utilities, get certified and license, work for people, do installs all the time, be there all the time and spend a lot of energy.
A shop sounds “cool” but it is a terrible idea for me and sooooo much riskier compared to what I’m doing now that has zero overhead and I have a lot more time to chill.
And I probably make more than owning a shop. Owning a shop, you don’t make anything until you put in tons of manual work and a lot of hours. And after you pay all your bills...then whatever is left is your profit. You basically start in a hole every month.

It would be soo cool! I recently bought a dynamic led brake light spoiler for my a4 b9 but im not sure how to install without having to drill holes. Any advice?
What fuse location did you tap into for constant power ? Cigarette lighter , breaks , ambient lights ect.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe Flexx covered that in his video. I could be wrong.

If you haven’t seen already, Singapore Mercedes Parts on Facebook is selling oem style smoked sequential rear signals (2020 style) for $800ish shipped to U.S. I bought them for mine and they look fantastic but unfortunately I need to send them back to have the proper U.S. plug installed so be sure to specify if you order. I was still able to see the light and it is top quality. Keep up the great work!👍🏻

the reflection on the wing is a little annoying tbh and id try to find a way to turn off ur OEM third brake light cuz It looks like those civics with a wing brake light and the third brake light both on.

Wrap your spoiler gloss white and it will look much cooler
Nahh. Colored spoilers are out of date. Oem spoilers are car colored and they look lame.
Carbon or gloss black is the trend.

The reflection off the bottom/rear surface of the spoiler had me thinking that you had an illuminated spoiler. Maybe needs some flat black (non-reflective) vinyl on that bottom/rear surface. Cheers.

I have a F1 diffuser for my cla 2014. Would you know this wires I need to tap to connect the f1 third light to my oem brake light?!
Do you always disconnect the battery when taking out fuses? If so why? Will it reset the computer settings if only done for a short time?
Not trying to be brash but would an electrician try to fix a wall outlet while there’s still live electricity running through it? It’s common sense or else you’re playing with a lot of risk.

Contacted DMP Car Design and unfortunately they don't have dynamic trunk lightbar for E class W212. Only selected Mercedes C Class and E class W213 🙁. . Now that dynamic trunk lightbar is one mod I would have immediately gotten for my E Class W212. It a great added safety feature 👍 .
Maybe someone will make it but most Benz don’t have a lot of mods except for the c-class and cla-class. They are way more popular and they are easier to mod.

What about the turn signal? Were there any problems with connecting to only one tail light?
As shown in the video, the lightbar has nothing to do with the turn signals. It’s a brake light bar. It’s connected to one tail light only to pick up the “braking” and “reverse” signal.
If the light bar has turn signals, that would be way too cheesy. The cars taillight is already blinking for a turn signal...don’t need half of the lightbar blinking too.
How many tail lights do you need?
A mod, that changes the OEM 3rd tail light would be better imo 🤔
