Sad to say, but North Korea will probably just be absorbed into South Korea. North Koreans will have to deal with discrimination, and a government that treats them like second-class citizens, but hey- it's better than the Kims! When Korea reunifies, there needs to be a new government that focuses on the needs and wants of the both north and south Koreans, so that they can live as one people again.
@@MonarchistMusic That's sorta wrong. As far as I know, only a select few ardent anti-monarchists blame the royal family for the annexation. Many Koreans know that the royal family was just as much of a victim as the Empire, and many to this day mourn the murders of the Korean royals by Japanese forces. Most Koreans tend to blame the traitorous pro-Japanese forces, which I think is very justified, as if they hadn't done their evil deeds, the Korean Empire might be a prosperous nation in the 21st century. Unfortunately, as wealthy as South Korea is, it is the descendants of these exact traitors who tend to be members of the upper class, while the children of independence fighters and the Korean nobles who refused to sell out their nation mostly live in poverty.

Before the Prime Minister died, his last words when he was told that he was the victim of a politician's assassination were, "Baka na yatsu ja!" ("He's an idiot!"). This may have meant that An killed the only Japanese leader who had a moderate and sympathetic approach to Japan's policy toward Korea. In fact, Ito's assassination was a factor that contributed to Japan's annexation of Korea in 1910.
this is right national anthem of empire of Korea but that translation lyrics are wrong because that song is third lyrics but that translation lyrics are first lyrics
It was annexed by Japan in 1910. Korea had basically been the centre of a power struggle between China, Russia and Japan. Japan, with their victory in the 1904-05 Russo-Japanese war forced Korea to become a protectorate, and in 1910 forced the Korean government to accept annexation into Japan
You may also ask why it wasn't restored in Korea after WWII As for the North Korea - it's easy. But on the South it was more complicated. President Syngman Rhee, backed by USA, feared that members of Yi Dynasty would shake his position and reputation of Father of Korean Independence. He forbid them to return to Korea (they stayed in Japan in years 1910-1945. Some of them, like Crown Prince Yi Un made careers in Japanese Army). President Park Chung-hee allowed them to come back to homeland, but it was already too late, the republican system was cemented and supported by USA. However, now the family is in a good position, they have association and keep traditions of their ancestors while trying to survive in this New Korea
Why did Ahn Jong Geun kill Hirobumi Ito? He assassinated Ito as punishment for what he did and in the hope of Korea restoring independence, security and peace in East Asia? Well, what about in 1599, Spain began colonizing the Philippines. In 1619, the Dutch occupied Sunda Kelapa by the Dutch East India Company, renamed it Batavia (present-day Jakarta) and made it a center of trade and expansion to other parts of Java and the surrounding area. In 1641, the Dutch captured Málaga from the Portuguese and British colonies in East Asia, the Middle East and India.
There is something about old imperial hymms that makes you wonder if you were a part of that in your past life. Hawaii, China, Korea. Ths music beautiful, but haunting...

만세
일제만큼 악랄한 게 왕정, 제정 한국입니다.
Heil Kaiser Dir!
Why did it die tho?
It was annexed by Japan in 1910. Korea had basically been the centre of a power struggle between China, Russia and Japan. Japan, with their victory in the 1904-05 Russo-Japanese war forced Korea to become a protectorate, and in 1910 forced the Korean government to accept annexation into Japan

You may also ask why it wasn't restored in Korea after WWII
As for the North Korea - it's easy.
Спаси Господи!
Why did Ahn Jong Geun kill Hirobumi Ito? He assassinated Ito as punishment for what he did and in the hope of Korea restoring independence, security and peace in East Asia?

In 1619, the Dutch occupied Sunda Kelapa by the Dutch East India Company, renamed it Batavia (present-day Jakarta) and made it a center of trade and expansion to other parts of Java and the surrounding area. In 1641, the Dutch captured Málaga from the Portuguese and British colonies in East Asia, the Middle East and India.
