And yes it does mean semi centralized power but thats kind of neccesary unless you want to live in anarchy. he can still be the president just with balanced power from the monarch
@@kimmyjohnny31 Actually having a "sort of" monarchy where the monarch is here and existing but as a representative of the country more than a real decision maker (like england/japan and alike) may be good in the event of a reunification because people would have a person to associate with from a common past and also it could be seen as a "ancient golden age" rebirth from it's ashes. In the same time I don't know if many Korean people would find it good as the Empire was a failure due to the annexation by Japan. (I'm not linked by any way to Korea therefore I'm maybe talking about something I don't understand completly as Korean would do)

Besides, Korea doesn't need a monarchy, and can't realistically transition into one even if we wanted. All the old Korean palaces have been rebuilt as tourist attractions.

우리는 조선 + 대한제국으로 보는데 외국에서는 다르게 봄
