@@SovereignSaurus I don't like the colour of the newer ones, I have some 2002 and 2022 thats about it for me, always looking for sheilds, looks like there getting thin on the ground, I think you have most of them lol
I’d like to add a few gold coins to diversify a little to go alongside my stocks and premium bonds. I’ve watched from the sidelines for a couple of years now and look what’s happened I’ve missed the boat when it comes to price sadly.
I can totally understand that feeling when you miss the move but then again it depends how long the momentum continues, I think buying at multiple price points is safer but I've got a couple of videos in planning around this idea
I like both. Sovereigns are obviously most recognisable and fluid, 1/4 Britannia's are 24ct and have all the extra security. I get 'this years' for both then i go for random sovereigns. Only have a few 1/10s from the queen/king transition, won't be getting anymore unless they're cheap. Not really looking to buy bigger, the size suits me and my exit plan.
Choices, choices but I’m sticking with my first love, the good old sovereign 🙆♂️🙆♂️. Thanks for your input 🙆♂️. ( btw, I noticed that you opted out for pronouncing the Japanese name, probably a good move🤣).
Fantastic video as usual, How come you do not have your sovereigns in capsules? Do you think getting all the sovereigns with different monarchs is a good idea? cheers
There are a few in capsules, perhaps half of them are and half are just in tubes. Having one of each monarch is a good challenge yes. For me it was a fun challenge
My budget could probably stretch to a quarter and a tenth every month but it would be tight. Am just waiting mostly now for the 2025 Britannia's to be released now. In the meantime I been buying tenth platinum coins. Got a Kookaburra tenth platinum coin coming in the post from America so hopefully it will arrive within the next two weeks.
Sovereigns all the way, I might start looking at britannias, after I complete my sovereign date run, 1880 till 2022 ,thanks for sharing .
I'm doing a similar run and have some duplicates, Let me know what years you need and maybe we can do some swaps.
Do you plan to get the more modern ones too? 2023 2024 etc?

Next year the alloy and the colour will change

🤣 I did yes. Can't go far wrong with the sovereigns surely
Nani?
Thanks for the video!
No worries!
I like the Britannia’s but sovereigns are cool for their history. Britannias have security features and they have the nines. 9999
Yeah I think the mint did a good job with the Brits to be fair to them
Very good

Smaller more often allows dollar cost averaging. I’m in the US, so insert local currency average here…
Yes that's it 👍🏼

If it's a little tight I'd probably just stick to the quarter and maybe do the occasional tenth as a little bonus
@@SovereignSaurus I could probably do it once every few months. More probable would be a quarter or 2 to 3 tenths. Or maybes the odd 5 or 10g bar.
The smart money is in
Heads up! the royal mint is bringing back yellow-gold Sovereigns in 2026! :) (according to there press release)
Ohhh this is interesting thank you for sharing 👍🏼
Brittania verry expensive now
Yes it's been a long time since I saw smaller denominations at low premium
What's a "kapshool" ?
How desperate for attention are you
Shut up
Never quite understood why people from Northern England exist. I mean what is their purpose?
It was originally to protect you southern soft pansys
😂
🤣 I'm sure there is a channel out there discussing these topics
