Thank you for watching. I'm just a private collector not set up as a coin shop or anything but in terms of options for selling there are platforms like eBay, social media forums and groups or perhaps other stackers in your vicinity along with dealers or potentially pawn shops or jeweler type shops all with their own pros and cons
@@SovereignSaurus Thank you, I pre-ordered a 2025 Sovereign but not sure if I should of went for Gold Britannia 0.25 oz instead. Am I overthinking? Just want to make the best hedge for my families future. Only started 2 years ago friend.
I'm American so I don't have much of a stake in either, but if I had to choose one I'd go with the Sovereigns. On the practical side, being 22 karat means they're more durable against scratches / dents. Besides that, I personally prefer their design over the Britannias, plus I think it's cool how they have a long-standing history and at one point were actually used as circulating currency. And also I just like the superficial satisfaction of being able to stack one "full unit" at a time. At the end of the day of course gold is gold and especially since both are from the Royal Mint, you can't go wrong with either.
I am starting out stacking not sure to go gold or silver and where to start really . keep looking a vids like yours to get some ideas but not sure what to get . should I go Britannia silver or gold or sovereign any ideas ?
Just get started. Silver stick with 1oz coins or rounds. Gold ! If you have the money to convert get 1 oz coin if not then start where your budget allows you . 1/4 oz perhaps . Most will say stack your countries coin . UK 🇬🇧 Britannia America 🇺🇸 A.G.E. !! Me ! Stack what you like and just get started 💯.
Great your stack. Thank you for sharing! Recently, I happened to see a video of yours, where you showed the 5$ Indian and then I commented you that it would be nice to have the complete Indian set (2,5$-5$-10$). So you got the 10$ Indian, great! Since you didn't show them, II wonder if you got also some Krugerrands, Maple Leaves or Roosters.
Can anyone please recommend a tube that will take a 1/4 Oz Brittania that is already enclosed in a capsule? There is limited space in the safety deposit box they are being stored in.
Just what I've picked up over the years.... They're not something you see often or in a regular place though unfortunately. perhaps keep an eye on eBay if you use it
💯 to you S.S. ! I didn't hear if you were still purchasing at todays current prices. 2018, 2020 and 2022 . That's a great question I guess it depends how we define rare, some of the shield sovereign dates are harder to come by along with some of the less common mintmarks I have on KGV sovs (like 1924 M and P for eg) but in terms of mintage probably lowest mintages would be the Ottawa sovereigns of KGV I think
@@SovereignSaurus I recently started collecting about a year ago find it fascinating the different years and mintage with different coins I have got extremely lucky meeting a collector who is now a good friend he gives me first pick on his collection. Got a question, I keep buying Sovereign's as well, is it better to have them or lower ounce Britannia's? Or is both fine?
In the UK with the current rules either are great choices, ideally whichever are lowest premium when you're shopping
