When i was young and dumb i decided to pop the primer of a empty .50 cal shell in my shop. Used a nail punch and a hammer with the shell in a bench vice. Blew both punch and hammer across the room and took a sizeable chunk of skin with it. My whole hand was numb for ten minutes, ears rang for just as long and it took some time to air the smoke out. All from a primer. Gads!
When I was a kid one boy found 14,5x114 KPVT cartridge and played with it on the stairs of his house. He hit the primer of the cartridge and only pinkie finger left on his hand, even lantern over the door was demolished.
Chit, I was pretty apprehensive about pulling bullets from 45-120 cartridges, via kinetic hammer method, and I didn't have my hand wrapped around the cartridge. You'd have to be dumber than a rock, to use a live 50bmg cartridge for a hammer.
Many years ago when I was in the Army SSG Morris of 3dACR decided to put a 50bmg round into a crack in the wall and hit it with a multitool or hammer. The details were hard to get since he was the only one there. Whatever he hit it with he managed to set off the primer which then set off the powder. Some shrapnel got into his hand but that was the extent of his injuries. He was very lucky that he wasn't dumb enough to hold it. This happened less than a month after two soldiers put a 50bmg into a space heater to see what would happen. For some reason that cartridge is a magnet for idiots in the military.
What is the blue stuff? It looks like the round is wrapped in something. Containing the round is what creates pressure. You need to read Hatcher’s Notebook
Righto... me over here in the real world is struggling to relate to how this scenario is relevant to not only me but 99.999% of the planets population. 🙄

So, what you say is using my .50BMG as a Chisel isn’t appropriate? I have to spend 5 bucks on a “real” one… C’mon 😭
LOL...Yes

Wow , this is cool I was always curious what it would do! Thanks for the video
You bet!
That's gonna leave a mark!!!
I'd imagine you'd end up with a lot of brass in places you dont want it too haha.
Well, that was just devastating for that specific type of ammo😮😂
There was an infantry guy in our unit that used a Bradley 20mm for a hammer. Needless to say he doesn't have a hand anymore.
I guess I’m going to put my hammer back in my tool bag and stop using my slap rounds for framing
Keep on keeping on 👍
If you use a 50bmg round to hit someone with it in your first, does that make it an "assault round".?
Я ехал в метро и смотрел видео в наушниках, зделал погромче чтобы лучше слышать... Потом я оглох от выстрела!))
Збс, чётко))
это вы еще перфоратором в колодце не сверлили)
или, хотя бы, болгаркой не работали
