This is becoming my go to channel for tactics. Battle reports are so edited that I don’t really follow who does what and why. But your recaps really help me become a better player as you talk through your reasons for advancing, retreating; when to charge and when to just leg it across the other side! 😊
Great video as always, Jordan. Don't ever resign from RUclips, please ❤ you help me so much understand my own faction. Can't wait for the Stormcast video. Love and hugs!
@@warpfireminisdo you just have every model available to recreate these bat reps after the fact? Also do u r record / make notes while your playing to remember what’s happening?
Here at the shop we have every Age of Sigmar army painted up and ready to go! We let customers use them to try out new armies/units before they buy them too. As far as remembering games I take a picture after deployment, then one each round, then just write down notes after the games; I've always been pretty good at remembering what went down.@@Vonbrow
That’s what I was thinking too… If he wasn’t in a position to do big shooting damage turn 1, then there wasn’t any reason to take turn 1 and open yourself up to the double.
Great format. You're covering a niche which is not on offer with many other videos. I'd only request more tactical analysis of your options and what your opponent or you could have done better. Nice work!
Did the fountains not blow up with 3 or more units on them or did you not cover this? Seems a challenge to do a standard castle if you try to only have 2 units on each
It did blow up once on the Kruleboyz player after his turn 1! It did a couple MW to the heroes and killed a Boltboy from the left squad! Castling up on this one is definitely a little trickier.
Was it a mistake from opponent to take first and move up? If he is castled up and gives you first, what would you do? Thanks for a good talk as always. :)
I do think that the better play would have been to make me go first. If he had done that I likely would have went for a Magical Dominance with a Wizard out of range and then stayed back out of his long distance shooting range. If I push up in there it's too risky and if I'm in his hasty shot shooting range and he doubles I'd just insta-lose the game.
@@warpfireminisYeah...I'm thinking, at this map, by taking first he might end up in a similar situation to what happened at round 2-3 instead of 1-2, but he he'e get at least half a volley of shooting. I also thought maybe he should have put gobsprakk more centrally, now you got to cast spells from the back and side without him using gobsprakks ability (It looked like it was out of 30" mostly?)
I try to take a picture of deployment, another picture at the end of the turns, and then I'll take down notes later on in the day to make sure I don't forget anything! Taking a picture of your deployments is a super good habit that everyone should do, can learn a lot looking back at your games.

I really like that you highlight the sportsmanship of your opponents and just in general emphasize the importance of sportsmanship in the game.

Any this is why you never take Big Yellas and always take Grinning. Cant hit the BBs at 13"
