Pam I love you. I’ve been cooking a long time I’m 73. And soooo many of your tips I’ve learned to use that I never knew. Your saving me money & making things so convenient in my kitchen thank you
I just saw your hurricane freezer tip and thought that you have a very calming nature and voice. I thought that you must be very wise so I've come to subscribe to your channel. My Mum passed away on Boxing Day 2020 and then 13 months and one day later I found my Dad had passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. I miss them so much and I find myself thinking that I must ask Mum how to do ......? only to get the sinking reminder that she is no longer here. I am going to watch your videos to gain the knowledge I'd normally ask Mum about. God bless your kind and caring nature. Xx
I hope to see this channel grow monumentally; this is the most comments I’ve come across on a short!!! Keep them coming!! You’re such a wonderful soul and that can’t be faked!!! Keep being you and bringing us practical tips! You’re like a second mama
Purchased my celery on sale two weeks ago and did these as soon as I got it and just checked it earlier and still looking crisp and fresh for my Thanksgiving cooking.
I can't wait to test this hypothesis! I'll buy one large bunch, keep one as normal in the crisper drawer, and wrap one tightly in foil like you did. I'll look at it in one week and see the difference! Will update with this one as I can't wait! I LOVE CELERY!
I also use her tips and wrapping lettuce in foil works like a charm!! It's a great feeling to finish a whole head of lettuce instead of throwing half of it away! God bless you miss Pam👑🙏🏻💞✝️🐾🕯🕯🕯🕯🕯
When you cut your celery to use, cut it leaving about 2” at the bottom. You can place that in a shallow dish with water, put in a sunny spot, and it will start growing again in about a week.
I find that if you cut off all the leaves and the entire bottom and put into a tall container of cold water and put it into the fridge: it will stay cromchy for 2 weeks!!!🥰
I like to chop the bottom of stalk off within a day of purchase. Then store the washed celery in a Rubbermaid container. Stays crisp and full of color until i use it up, generally 2-3 weeks. 3 month old celery in refrigerator I am not trying to use at all. Not sure of foil health hazards. My new stove says not to put foil on bottom in oven 🤔 And I used to think it was a nice hack for catching crumbs/spillovers
you seem like the type of auntie who I could visit anytime, have some afternoon tea, and end up getting adopted as an adult by the end of the day.... ... not that i would protest, that actually sounds kind of nice.
Hey Pam Great video my celery goes bad everything b4 I use it. Valuable content Pam. Now how do I keep my tomatoes? I'll b watching @Ketogranny's Way approved
Does this work for the loose celery already separated from the root? I love this genius tip but my local store does have nice whole intact celery very often.
You've accidentally titled this how to store carrots lovely ❤️ 3 months for celery though?? That's amazing!! Are there other vegs that store for that long?
Thank you soooo much for bringing that to my attention! It’s changed! Much appreciated! Each veggie has a different shelf life. And celery has one of the longest! Thanks
pain in the butt to open it and eat some celery, then it wont wrap up nice and tight again, so alot of foil get used... nah... the answer is break off what you will use in a week or so, then put the rest in a foodsaver bag and suck the air out and seal it. week 2, open the food saver bag. the food saver bag can be reused many times because you only cut off 1/2 inch or so to open it each time.
Mama Pam teaching me how to stretch my groceries is my new favorite channel lol
This woman has such a classy demeanor.
Thank you!

I have a question....i don't care for using foil directly on my food. Could I wrap it in parchment and then foil?
@@kr7149ik… it’s pretty toxic.
