Its not rare. It happens even for commercial movies. But for such classic movies, people watching itself is rare, as u said clapping is next big thing. People felt it, but majority not realized is sad

I consider this movie to be a benchmark of Tamil Cinema in the recent years. I hope to see more movies like this. I was born and brought in Chennai, every year I visit my native place to pray and give our native god a feast. Even though I don't get involved so much in this process, I loved the feeling which this movie brought in me. This movie made me feel more human and connected to my origin. I felt peaceful. One of the beautiful movies I watched. Have a good one Manikandan Sir, Thanks a lot for this gem of a movie. Long live the artist in you.

Siddhar can change anyone life in a second. Ramaya has feed the Siddhar and Ramaya past karma come to an end. That action as you said Siddhar has no partiality, some Siddhar doesn’t beg and eat, at the same time Siddhar appreciate the kind character of Ramaya and he has cleared past Karma as a representation he gave Thiruneer, no only for Ramaya but also salvation for the soul which commit suicide, after the Siddhar put Thiruneer on his forehead now Ramaya attains the Siddhar level now he can give peace to the other soul.
Literally tears came when the Sithar blessed Vijay Sethupathi and blessed him and acknowledged the presence of Vijay Sethupathi's partner's presence. Few films did this to me. A kind of feel good and spiritual feeling. That thatha's acting literally pushed Vijay Sethupathi's to second place.

தமிழர்கள் என்றால் இயற்கை நாகரிகம் அடைந்த இனம் , இந்த பரிணாம நாகரிக பண்பாட்டின் பெயர் தான் "சமணம்". இந்த சமண வாழ்வியலில் இருந்த பல தமிழர்கள் தான் தன் அருளியலை ஹிந்துவாக திரித்ததை சகிக்க முடியாமல் அந்நிய மதமாக இருந்தாலும் பரவாயில்லை என்று மதம் மாறினார்கள்... இது எல்லாம் இந்த ஆயிரம் ஆண்டில்( வடுகர் ஆட்சியில்) நடந்த உண்மைகள்.

Truly speaking this is one of the not so good interviews of BR. It seemed like BR is trying to ask out of the box questions to the director which are clearly irrelevant here. I feel BR is trying to raise the bar set by himself as a film critique. That's good but at the same time he should know who the audience is and what they expect from him. Clearly the director wasn't comfortable with few of his questions. I was eagerly waiting for this but this turned out to be a disappointment. Having said all these things, this is one of the epic and a master piece in tamizh cinema. That thattha was so good unfortunately none spoke about him.

Felt like Baddy asked too many questions about process while Manikandan didn't actually have much of process. So much disconnect that Baddy couldn't keep continuing the conversation. Could be because of the cultural disconnect between two individuals or Manikandan doesn't want to reveal his trade secrets. Anyways brilliant movie of Tamil cinema in recent years 😎😎

Manikandan is one way wrong. He repeatedly mentions that people coming from village background would love the scenes of cultivation etc. I feel town / city guys also would enjoy equally or more along with an element of curiosity. Great work...
This film was pure no political agenda , no caste , no unnecessary fight , very engaging story . It was very pleasing and relaxing film.

There are so many hidden facts in that scene. Director kept lot of untold stories in that scene. Only a in depth spiritual knowledgeable person like director and his team and vijay Sethupathi can keep such scene. So all his duties finished, so Ramaya transferred the message to the messenger. Messenger also realized his mistake and hence he promoted to that great level that’s why he got a chance of looking at Ramaya reaching god).

The film was exemplary both director and actor deserve awards...Baradwaj! kindly Try questioning/approaching humble directors and humble stories in a humble way. Please Don't push your wisdom into it when not needed. it looks irrelevant and irritating to watch. Also Please learn the Tamil language before you try to talk, it really sounds absurd with your choice of words and pronunciation(illukureenga!!!!! 37:13 btw that's the master class scene). Hopefully, you will take my feedback in a positive way as you expect from us, and Sorry for being straightforward as you are !!!

Movie was WOW!! I came here to listen to the mind that created the masterpiece. But disappointed with his answers... I wonder how he was able to create such a wonderful presentation though there are minor flaws in story telling. Questions from baradwaj is soo deep travelling into the soul of characters in the movie.. and he replies as in commercial interviews.. he has no real vision into the characters. I dont know how many would feel the same.. for sure Baradwaj would have I guess. :)

Manikandan's answers seems pretty messed up, which i noticed in all of his other interviews about kadaisi vivasayi. like someone who is really away from the craft. Is he purposely omitting answers on the spiritual tracks or he's too numb in interview sessions. It is actually like some divine spirit has occupied him while writing and filming this epic and suddenly left him away.
What a fantastic discussion that is. I haven’t watched it yet, Going to watch it just for the reason director said this movie is not taken to blame anyone rather for people to understand what farmers go through . Well said sir . Helping society should never be questioned 100 % true that 👍

Yes, I found it very strange that he laughed watching that scene...when I completely broke down in tears at that exact moment...The humanity, simplicity, focus, humility and being extremely inspirational by merely doing without a hint of fuss encapsulates Nallaandi's character. In my opinion, the greatest superhero character ever conjured and brought to life on screen. Kudos to Manikandan for not only bringing this movie to fruition but also for being so deeply mature and wise beyond words!

Unfortunately I couldn't seen this movie in theatre. I am really expecting this movie should re release in theatres soon. Such a wonderful film without 0 haters. I have felt i lived in a village throughout the movie... My best heartiest congratulations to Manikandan ji for his unselfish film without expecting anything. He gave a life lessons via this movie for our Next generationa...
