True story: Since early 1990s, Keaton has been a real part of the Big Timber/Boulder community. He has been a true volunteer fire fighter & has earned the respect of his neighbors. Tshirt, blue jeans and boots. He looks like every other guy in town. Nice, nice man.
A copy from a copy from a copy. Something went wrong there😂😂😂😂 At the end where the loony ( during the day he has a paper route) is delivering pizzas. 😂😂😂😂😂
"Mr. Mom" was one of those movies that was always on HBO when I was a kid. I must have seen it ten times. It's been cool to see Keaton grow as an actor over the years, from comedies like "Gung Ho" and "Night Shift" to great dramatic roles, his latest one being the drug addicted doctor in "Dopesick". What a talent
Multiplicity is my FAVORITE Keaton movie!! Brilliant performances!! I've watched it 20 times since it came out and it gets funnier and funnier every time!! Michael Keaton ROCKS.
I’ve been a Michael Keaton fan since I was nine watching Gung Ho in 86. Him as Batman was at the peak of childhood. From Multiplicity to BJ to Birdman he’s been an American movie mainstay and hero forever.
Having him as Batman in the peak of my childhood also is truly a core memory in my life, and honestly, a literal bar-setter for my appreciation of future actors. He is such a talent in the full sense of the word. And to be a good human on top of all of that is so refreshingly amazing!
Gung Ho! I forgot that one. They open the hood and there's a mechanic in there still working on the engine. "I told them they were shipping these cars too fast"
I was heavily pregnant with my first daughter when a friend took me to see Mr Mom, in 1983. I sat and bawled. Hormones. I cannot wait to see Beetlejuice next month. The trailer played during the previews before Deadpool And Wolverine. The theater erupted in glee. ❤
It wasn’t befitting of Keaton or his Batman. He should’ve got his own comeback movie as Batman. An older Bruce Wayne movie for 2.5 hours would’ve been more suitable for such a cultural icon.
He’s the ONLY reason that movie was anything. I can’t stand that narcissistic twit who plays the flash but I couldn’t miss seeing Keaton as Batman again. :)
No mention of "Night Shift" ? Pure genious fluff comedy cult gold imo. Keaton at his comedy peak. I still watch every few years for Winkler, Keaton, Long nostalgia trip. My buddies and I knew every line back in the day 😆 Thanks Michael for all the great work !
Amazing choice! I have loved him since I saw him in Night Shift. If you have not seen that movie, do yourself a favor and watch it. He takes over the movie as he does in most of his movies. When they cast him as the vulture, I was concerned but he knocked it out of the park. Keep making movies, Michael, and we will keep watching them.
One of the few great actors that never disappoints. I've loved over 90 percent of everything he has done since his breakout role in the early 880's as Billy Blaze in "Night Shift". His ability to get involved with high quality, entertaining projects is uncanny.
love Michael Keaton! I actually watched 'Johnny Dangerously' again the other day 😆 and same as other people on here- forever my Batman. Also my sisters and I quote 'Multiplicity' every time we get pizza- "i like pizza.. I LIKE IT!" 🤣
David Spade and Micheal Keaton are 1 of only 10 people that did the Norm MacDonald has a Show. I was waiting for the Norm conversation. Someone else made me wait for this once. ONCE!!!! Rack 'Em!!!
Keaton is one of my favorite actors ….i grew up on Mr mom ..we had a VHS tape my bought because she liked the movie ….its one we had forever ..she prolly bought it in the late 80’s at some point…i saw Batman returns in the theaters when i was 8 ..almost 9 but it stuck with me …then I remember being so surprised when I saw him in the others guys ..he killed it in that movie! I so happy that he returned as Batman and soon to be Beetlejuice…hes a true legend
Michael Keaton is by far my favorite actor of all time! I love his versatile acting from Mr Mom to Batman to Beetlejuice to Birdman to Ken to Vulture to Multiplicity and so on and so on and he's just an awesome guy in general! Can't wait to see him in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and I'm pretty interested in seeing Knox Goes Away!
I'm a retired spicy dancer (Waikiki '87-'96) and our DJ could've been Keaton's twin. His nickname was The Weasel. The Weez is described in my memoir as a being like an imagined Michael Keaton twin brother. I love this episode so much. Mr. Mom and Night Shift helped me through the deepest depression and addiction points in my life when I was in high school. No one talked about mental health or addiction in the 80s. I was in deep suicidal ideation and comedy was (and continues to be) my liferaft. If Mike (can I call you Mike?) ever reads this - THANK YOU, MR. KEATON.
Shout out to Game 6. So glad he talked about it. That is one my favourite movies where he played the lead. Always a delight to hear Michael Keaton jam and tell stories about his awesome career.
Delightful that Keaton’s favorite modern western is Lonely Are The Brave😃- a family favorite and Kirk’s personal pick, out of his whole canon. Lotta fun, guys, I could’ve listened for another hour.
Such a good guy and actor. And I wish someone would compliment him publicly one day for the film My Life. For me it was such a great movie. I'm afraid it's forgotten but I hope one day it's found again and enjoyed.
Dana and David. Hearing Michael here reminded me of one of his co-stars Teri Garr. Is there a chance you could get Teri to do your podcast here? I'd REALLY like to hear Teri again. Great show with Michael here.
What a beauty podcast, Keaton is funny as fuck and also a hard core stone cold bad ass. Props to his community service and social responsibility, as mentioned by "Susan Frary7424" in the comments. He's in the chill club... "I know I got it, so I don't have to TRY SO HARD to impress idiots and just be real". Individuals that are exceptional, achieve a ton of success, and then have a kind, down to earth, philosophical outlook on life...that's what I like to hear! Love it!
A great chat and an admirable thespian, comedian and all around cool dude! Have seen Mr.Keaton in a number of sleeper films that he was always exceptional.Plays a badass like no other, think Pacific Heights the tenant from hell. Thanks gents
Michael totally made that moment greatness when he participated in the Arnold- devito bit. Really sweet He’s done so much I thought multiplicity was hysterical So was beetljuice I liked how they had accomplished stars presenting awards The turn out of great artists was impressive It definitely showed more class this year Good to see DeNiro and Pacino They are true acting royalty I get the feeling Jack Nicholson is senile now Night shift was good Also remember Michael as a singer and group performer behind Mary Tyler Moore
Why was this one just a screen and you couldn't see them?? Man I just LOVE MK....him with these 2 favorites of mine I wanted to see his face soooo bad!!!
The thing about the 3 Stooges that gets me is how background characters underreact to them trying to murder each other. 'Hey you, stop hitting that guy in the head with an axe and get back to work!"
I once had a job where it was known that I went to movies on my day off. One time, somebody asked me the next day what movie I had seen, and I said, "The Paper." then she said, "The Paper? What movie's that?"
Michael Keaton is the goat. I want to know who came up with using TLC song references in The Other Guys. Too funny. Michael Keaton working at Bed Bath & Beyond is comedy.
True story: Since early 1990s, Keaton has been a real part of the Big Timber/Boulder community. He has been a true volunteer fire fighter & has earned the respect of his neighbors. Tshirt, blue jeans and boots. He looks like every other guy in town. Nice, nice man.
That is so nice to hear
I’ve admired him for years
@soulkiss1001Montana!!
He also sold me some really lovely towels at Bed, Bath and Beyond : )
Don’t go chasing waterfalls
Also, it's cool that they let him wear the cape the whole time.
Mr. Mom is one of my all-time-faves 🤩 and Spotlight was outstanding. Great actor. Great episode 👍🏻
Michael had me laughing when he was that bed bath and beyond supervisor XD
Bed bath and WAY THE FUCK OUT THERE!
Multiplicity is one of my favorite movies. So funny.

Loved him in The Other Guys! Bed Bath and Beyond, and that Wooden Fkn Gun. Lol.
Michael Keaton is so real. Love his talent - he ROCKS. ❤️😊
I’ve been a Michael Keaton fan since I was nine watching Gung Ho in 86. Him as Batman was at the peak of childhood. From Multiplicity to BJ to Birdman he’s been an American movie mainstay and hero forever.
You abbreviated Beetlejuice for more than one reason didn't you? 😏😂
Hey I saw him first with Jim Belushi

Remembering Norm!!!
Please make this happen!
Maybe a 3 parter. ;-)
Mister Mom was my favorite as a kid in the 80s
I couldn't love these guys more. Michael Keaton, Spade and Dana. Three of my all time favorites.
I thought that flash movie would be stupid, but I kinda liked it and especially liked seeing Mr. Keaton come back as Batman, he really stole the show.
He was definitely the highlight of the movie for me. I mean the story wasn't bad but seeing him was what really got me invested! Supergirl too.
That DeVito x Schwarzenegger Oscar riff was one for the books!
Glad you guys interviewed Keaton... VERY timely!
The ascot killed me.
Batman meets Mr. Freeze and The Penguin (yeah, Freeze was from the Clooney era)
Amazing choice! I have loved him since I saw him in Night Shift. If you have not seen that movie, do yourself a favor and watch it. He takes over the movie as he does in most of his movies. I’m glad Dana mentioned The Founder. Such a great movie!
Michael is brilliant in every role he plays.

I have such a crush on Michael Keaton.... :)
Love Michael Keaton! The founder is a go to movie!!!
Really enjoyed the talk about SNL. Great to hear about Keaton's experiences and stories.
Michael Keaton is about as fun as it gets!😂❤🎉

Keaton is the real deal. Prob not many remember his early stand up days or early movies. Super talented guy. Best Batman hands down ever.
Mr. Mom and Night Shift helped me through teenage depression. This was such a treat!
Nightshift is still my favorite comedy of all-time.
