Saw my first cybertruck yesterday. I had to park, let it go by because I didn’t care where I was going ( since it wasn’t an emergency )and needed to look at it.
It was amazing.
When I looked at every other truck on the road it felt like I was looking and living in the past.
The future is here and I just saw it in real life.
I see them and they are pretty funny! So good for the look at me crowd!
Since I got the FSD trial, I use it everyday. Feels like someone else is driving and I just sit and relax. Not sure what I’ll do without it on May 1 😢.

NO I don't. Spreadsheet has always seemed stressful, and of no relevance to me.. For my top holdings, I copy Kelly Marie Matwick's positions automatically in real-time... Look her up, she's good.

The next I phone moment needs two things, software as a service, and a data driven single company lead. If you have that and you solve a complex data driven problem that can be applied to similar products, then it is just a matter of time before other companies want your software. The TAM on that is huge.

I have a Tesla and I will never buy one again. Paid luxury prices for something that's not luxury. I paid $10k for FSD that won't work for another decade. I have FSD 12.3 and it is not good. Ran over a curb twice. I have had to intervene several times. Not worth it. I want my money back for FSD and Tesla won't refund me. Windshield cracked four times. Insurance only covered it once. $1500 for a new windshield. $1600 to replace the tires every six months. Higher insurance costs. Battery degradation is real. I religiously stay betwen 20% and 80% and 50k miles later I notice a difference in range. Absolutely will never waste my money on a Tesla ever again. This is only my opinion. But, I'm not the only one that feels this way.

Tesla can’t possibly be raising prices, because they have a huge demand problem. This will cause all of their competitors to gain more market share. And, with these price increases Tesla won’t be able to sell their huge number of vehicles in inventory. Nothing to see here, as these increases are only $1000 (he said sarcastically).
Yahoo Finance will not mention FSD 12.3 because that would be good news for Tesla, and these Elon/Tesla haters are not allowed to say anything positive for fear of losing ad revenue from legacy auto.

I think you’re right. In addition, better battery technology is likely with longer range, faster charging speeds and longer life. I like the updated styling and ventilated seats of the M3 which will probably be in the Model Y.
I’m in no rush. However, if the batteries come from CATL, the Federal Tax Credit will be gone.

Minute 11:00 you hit the nail on the head... soo true in my situation. Currently a model Y owner cat#1 and car#2 ICE vehicle. I am currently waiting for the 25k Tesla vehicle to replaced my 10 year old Mercedes Benz! if Tesla delay the 25K vehicle pass 2025 I will get a used model 3.
When the Robotaxis awaken, would ride hailers rather ride a Model 3 refresh and use that huge screen in the rear, or ride in an unrefreshed Y (or older 3 or any other ride share vehicle) and use their phone screen? If I don't own a Tesla by then, I'll tell you what I'd INSIST upon for a longer trip. My uber driver said a stick of gum can increase customer satisfaction, but compare that to the rear screen...
I disagree that the new 3 is a better value than the current Y, at least for families. I own a Y and have driven all versions of the 3. The Y is much more roomy especially in the back seats, comfortable and safer (size matters). Noise has improved with the new 3 but it’s still not as good as the Y.
The Y is only 2 inches longer and two inches wider than the 3. Not a significant difference unless you're obese.
Hoping my car can last until the release of teslas next gen car. Ima reserve it day one.

We picked up a Y recently because our 2008 Santa Fe was showing signs of imminent failure and we couldn't trust it for road trips. Our hand was forced. The car fits our needs perfectly and is a wonderful car.
We live a bit out of town and we have saved about 350 CAD in fuel in our first month. That does not account for the fact we have already invested in solar panels, so the savings are more. Fuel just went up again, even before our assinine government made the carbon tax go up, which is so stupid in an inflationary environment.
So yes, people are waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger.
A note to government, be very careful with mandates and carbon taxes. In Canada there is lots of anti EV sentiment because of it. I heard lots at a recent family gathering and it makes people reactionary instead of consider benefits of evs. I took an older family member (a truck guy) out on an errand with the Y. He was impressed. But some won't even get in the car at this point.
Carbon tax is a great idea if you understand it. Politically tough to sell, but it’s the right thing to do.

You know what doesn't age well? SMR's videos from 4 years ago. The luxury car market is saturated and Tesla next growth lever is 3-5 years away. Profits are going to be flat or down for at least a couple of years. Then the P/E will come down to a normal level making the stock price drop. I could easily see it halve from it's current price in the next couple of years. And if a recession hits in the next 3 years even lower.
You have to play the youtube game. Set up paid membership on RUclips and let google take their cut. Many don't want to go to a private site that takes them off youtube. You should do live shows with superchat q&a feature to allow your supporters to tip you but feel connected because you answer their questions directly. And you need paid sponsors and you need advertising in your videos. That's the formula I'm seeing other channels use with great success.

The price increase warnings were a marketing gimmick. I check Tesla inventories in my area every day (which includes Austin) and there are dozens of new MYs priced substantially under the old, pre $1k hike prices. If demand isn't an issue, why are so many inventory cars substantially discounted from the price on the build page?

I think that during the transition, any running USED ICEV near the end of its useful life will hold its value until there are enough compelling used EVs that get into the sub-$10000 price range.
That's good, because I have two older ICE vehicles that I plan to sell in a couple of years.
Tesla Q1 down 8.5% vs 2023, hard to spin that as good. I guess the people that are currently long will do there best though.
It makes sense that hybrids sell better than PEV in China since MOST people live in high rise apartments where folks can't charge at home. My brother in law for example. I encouraged him to look at a Tesla but he opted for a VW because there's no place to charge at home and the few available charging stations are always busy.
The apartment dwellers will continue to be a problem everywhere until charging stations are on every major street corner.
@@darylfoster7944 I agree. However, where my brother in law lives there is off street parking where in the future every space will likely have a charger. Until then they need a bay of chargers where residents can charge prior to parking in their spot. That would require supervision to keep drivers from charging but never moving their car afterward.
@@trfisher78 that's why charging stations are a better option than charging on private property. You drive in, charge to 80%, then you're forced to get out. With private property charging, which would undoubtedly be L2, people will want to plug in late at night, and leave their car until morning, leaving the rest of the tenants out of luck.

Old vehicles probably will hold their value well, because ICE consumers are going to prefer them to newer and much more expensive ICE vehicles, and it'll take a while for good EVs to penetrate that lower price range.
Another valid reason people are holding onto their cars is that cars are lasting longer. 100k miles used to be something to get excited about 30 years ago. Now 300k is cliché. I wouldn't know as a loyal TSLA repeat lessee, just sayin'. Lots of boomers are just more utility only focused in this arena.
Tell us what's going on? FSD 12.3 almost human like! Tell us what's going on? Cybertruck ramp is going well. Tell us what's going on? Megapacks are increasing in installs and power output... So much is going on, and you're not understanding already!

I agree. I’m expecting an insurance and FSD bundle for $200/month where $50 will go to insurance and $150 to FSD. Currently $150 goes to insurance and $0 to FSD.
Yes but IMO they are following the same pattern as they did with the EVs I think it will drop in price because 10,000% software margins is just sickening.
It is common for RUclips video channels to claim that FSD is a software business and hence has insanely high profit margins. However, those people usually neglect to mention that Tesla claims it is investing more than $1 billion annually to increase the capability of its supercomputer that is required for training FSD (and I vaguely recall Elon recently claiming that AI companies, including Tesla, will soon have to invest more than $10 billion annually just to stay competitive). My calculator indicates that Tesla will need to sell 83,333 FSD licenses (at $12K each) annually for each $1 billion it invests just to break even. As such, I'm not sure that FSD is *currently* a cash cow for Tesla, but I agree that $12K seems steep from a customer's perspective.
It seems that capabilities of AI systems is growing exponentially and costs for an AI to perform a task is dropping exponentially. Because of this, I predict that long term, say, 20+ years from now, multiple companies will have perfected autonomous driving, and pricing pressure due to competition will drive the cost of FSD licenses/rental down to very low prices. If perfected autonomous driving technology delivers on its promise of saving a multitude of lives, then, when prices come down far enough, I can see multiple governments around the world mandating that autonomous driving capabilities must be installed in new vehicles, in much the same way that a few decades ago it was mandated that all new cars should be equipped with safety belts.
@@CiaranMcHale Everything invested into Tesla AGI is multiuse they are not going to suffer from narrow utility focus thus the cost for the investment is spread over their entire line up of products and services and likely all future ones as well so the capex is practically nothing when compared to the returns it will yield and so true margins for their software is insane in 10 years IMO they could sell it for pennies and make profit.
