The tour starts with the entire llama crew! 🦙 Then, you’ll say hello to the resilient horses who were saved from meat farms, including Isabelle who narrowly escaped slaughter when she was pregnant. 🐴 You’ll stop by the sheep area and meet Rodrigo and Raúl, two male bulls who were considered “waste” by the dairy industry, and Carolina who was given a second chance at life after a dairy farmer gave her up. 🐄You’ll also meet four new resident cows who are getting special care to restore their health. 🐮 CLT is also home to a large community of birds, including chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, pigeons, and more! 🐥
All of the animals at the sanctuary get to live with pure freedom, comfort, care and company. CLT offers guided tours to allow people to meet the residents, share their inspiring stories to raise awareness, and eat delicious vegan food! 💚 They also work with schools and universities to teach students about the harmful impacts of the animal agriculture industry and to emphasize the importance of animal sanctuaries in saving animals. 🙏
Not long ago, local authorities and police destroyed an animal sanctuary in Italy and killed all of the resident pigs. 💔 This heartbreaking event was prompted by the recent African swine fever (“swine flu”) outbreak, which is ongoing due to the raising and killing of pigs for food. 😕 Capra Liberi Tutti Sanctuary advocates for legal protections for animals to keep them safe in the case of emergencies, virus outbreaks and pandemics. 🙌
