I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. It was sometime in the 1970's I read an article about the castle in the Sunday Cleveland Plain Dealer. At that time a family was renting the house and made many claims of paranormal activity. Their name was "Ramono" or Ramano and they only used the 1st two floors, the basement, and the first floor. They claimed the third and fourth floors were much too active. The husband, Mr. Ramano was a truck driver and would be gone days at a time leaving his wife and two young children alone. Mrs. Ramano said on the date of Tiederman's daughter's funeral they could hear what sounded like a gathering on the fourth floor. Sounds of talking, glasses clinking, and footsteps could be heard. On that date every year they would stay at a motel! Very haunted castle, the late Hans Holzer stated it was one of the most haunted homes he had been in, in the United States. Great episode young man, keep it up!!!

Every Sunday, mom & I would drive to Fairlawn that had a news stand to buy it for him. My dad would read it the entire day. I grew up in Medina Co but have since moved out of the area. Good memories for sure.
Finally the place is restored! My dad wanted to buy the place in the 70s, but opted for a boat at Edgewater instead. However we would go by it every time we went to the Marina, and my dad would point out other houses on the street where our ancestors had lived at the time of the Tiedemanns. It had a haunted history than, mostly spread by kids in the neighborhood who would sneak in and RUN OUT in terror, and previous owners or renters who complained about the nonstop paranormal activity.

Those light fixtures don't go with the Victorian design. They are more for a ranch or cabin. They should have gotten something that goes with the design of the home, it looks very out of place and throws the whole place off.
The street that this sits on used to be called Millionaires Row due to all the mansions built there. Sadly, most of those homes were demolished. Franklin castle is one of a few that still stands.

I lived across the street from the franklin castle when i was around 6 or 7 and went to Gordon elementary. 100% that place is haunted. I seen that little girl looking out the round window omw home one day. I told my mom and she thought I was lieing. That was the first and only ghost I seen. Until this day I know what I saw. and it was clear as day. I still live by the castle and when I drive by I always look at that window and get the chills.
When I was a kid my mom worked across the street at the hospital. My grandma would park in front of the castle and I would get so scared. I use to tell my grandma can you please not park here I get the creeps.

The guy doing the tours took you to one section at a time and in between we all went to the carriage house where he stayed so we could take a potty break and drink some wine or beer ( I didn’t drink I was driving) Then we would go back and to the next level and so on. When me and my friend got to the top level we both got very nauseous and felt sick. So when we left and got in the car an away from the Castle we instantly felt better it was weird but it was so fun there were other people and it was a fun time.
I hear a male voice stating at 24:36 and 24:37 the number 8 and then saying 'about 8' super fast . I've noticed in other paranormal videos sometimes they can answer so quickly, so I'm wondering if eight are on the first floor, but five of them are there with you in that room, so interesting.
I heard a girl crying down the basement in 1975😮😮😮 there are initials carved in the window on I believe the second floor., soon as I walked in the front, the room to the right was cold, it was 85 degrees that day😮 there was a creepy big old photo hanging above the third floor fireplace of a old woman😮
I have a four floor house in Dayton built in 1906. This house is not haunted though I had issues with one bedroom for about a week then nothing. I also lived in a house in Virginia that was built in the 1770s and it was haunted by several ghost an I am fairly sure there was a demon there as there was one bedroom. I slept in it just once and I had scratches all over me the next morning. Most ghosts I think are harmless but if you have the misfortune of living in a house with a demon, they are not of course.

I got to attend a high school Halloween party inside the first few rooms of the castle as the new owners were renovating because they housed a foreign exchange student from Germany in 2013. We snuck down to the basement and the floors were still dirt and Un touched whereas the foryer where the party was held was mostly modernized. I'm a bit of a horror junky and kinda f9rced my way down there and was left on my own for awhile... I got shovedd into the dirt the scar on my knee is my proof now. But one of the scariest things in my life happened on a day we came over for lunch or something simple. I walked right through a tall man in a very nice hat lol totally random. But also terrifying.. I never told the people there because I was afraid the owners would find out I was exploring too much as they only allowed us "kids" in the renovated areas lol
And my 4th great grandfather was Benjamin Franklin out of Pennsylvania if you want another Ghost Hunter member include me I'm a empath I'm looking for a interesting fun Job
Funny you say that, the people who let you in the building actually run their office or whatever at the very top of the castle, and of course they told us that was the only spot we couldnt get to investigate.
